All-polymer solar cells(all-PSCs)possess attractive merits including superior thermal stability and mech.nical flexibility for large-area roll-to-roll *** flexible conjugation-break spacers(FCBSs)into backbones of polymer donor(P_(D))or polymer acceptor(P_(A))has been demonstrated as an efficient approach.to enhance both the photovoltaic(PV)and mech.nical properties of the ***,length dependency of FCBS on certain all-PSC related properties has not been systematically *** this regard,we report a series of new non-conjugated P_(A)s by incorporating FCBS with various lengths(2,4,and 8 carbon atoms in thioalkyl segments).Unlike com-mon studies on so-called side-ch.in engineering,where longer side ch.ins would lead to better solubility of those resulting polymers,in this work,we observe that the solubilities and the resulting photovoltaic/mech.nical properties are optimized by a proper FCBS length(i.e.,C2)in P_(A) named *** all-PSC ach.eves a high efficiency of 11.37%,and excellent mech.nical robustness with a crack onset strain of 12.39%,significantly superior to those of the other P_(A)*** results firstly demonstrate the effects of FCBS lengths on the PV performance and mech.nical properties of the all-PSCs,providing an effective strategy to fine-tune the structures of P_(A)s for highly efficient and mech.nically robust PSCs.

Phenolic compounds are related to high biological activity,avoiding oxidation in food and human *** are by-products derived from the pecan nut processing that contain important amounts of phenols which.biological activity must be *** research.aimed to evaluate the antioxidant(DPPH,ABTS,FRAP and hemolysis)and anti-inflammatory activities of shell extracts from pecan nuts harvested during the crop production cycle 2018 and 2019,as well as the in vitro digestibility of their phenolic compounds,including *** showed that extracts from the crop production cycle 2018 obtained the highest yield,while those from 2019 contained the highest concentration of phenolic compounds,flavonoids and antioxidant capacity determined by DPPH(22.96 mmol ET),ABTS(91.55 mmol ET)and inhibition of hemolysis(92.12%).The anti-inflammatory activity exhibited an inhibition of the elastase enzyme up to 50 min and the bioaccessibility of phenolic compounds reach.d up to 32%.These results showed that pecan nutshell extracts are an important source of biologically active compounds,thus,they are suitable to be used as commodities in different fields such.as agricultural,food and pharmaceutical *** studies must be carried out in order to elucidate the activity of nutshell extracts within in vivo systems.

Conditional survival in patients with gallbladder cancer

Background: Conditional survival(CS) has been established as a clinically relevant prognostic factor for cancer survivors, and the CS in gallbladder(GB) cancer has not yet been fully evaluated. In this study, we evaluated the cancerspecific CS rate and cancer-specific survival(CSS) rate in patients with GB cancer at multiple time points and investigated prognostic factors which.affect cancer-specific CS rate to provide more accurate survival ***: Between 2004 and 2013, a total of 9760 patients with GB cancer were identified from the Surveillance,Epidemiology, and End Results(SEER) data. The 3-year cancer-specific CS rate was calculated using the covariateadjusted survival function in the Cox model for each.year since diagnosis, and the results were analyzed together with the adjusted CSS rates at the same time points. Cox proportional hazards regression was performed to ascertain the individual contribution of factors associated with CSS rate at diagnosis and cancer-specific CS rates at 1,3, and 5 years after ***: The adjusted 5-year CSS rate was 26.1 %. The adjusted 3-year cancer-specific CS rates at 1,2,3,4, and 5 years after diagnosis were 55.5,72.2,81.5,86.8, and 90.5%, respectively. At the time of diagnosis, age, race, histology, grade,T, n, and M categories, surgery, radiotherapy, insurance status, and marriage status were significant prognostic factors of CSS. Five years after diagnosis, however,T and M categories were significant prognostic factors for survivors(P = 0.007 and P = 0.009, respectively), whereas surgery and radiotherapy were ***: T and M categories were significant prognostic factors even 5 years after the initial diagnosis, whereas local treatments at the time of diagnosis were not, suggesting that patients with GB cancer at high risks might need further adjuvant therapy after primary treatments.
