Objective:To investigate the effect of Orostachys(O.)japonicus,a perennial herbaceous plant of the Family Crassulaceae,on biofilm formed by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA).Methods:Powdered *** was extracted by 95%methanol,concentrated,and then,systematically fractionated with n-hexane,dichloromethane(DCM),ethyl acetate(EtOAc),n-butanol,and H2 O according to *** them,the flavonoid-rich EtOAc fraction demonstrated the highest antibacterial activity and was used in this *** the biofilm inhibition assay,cell-surface attachment assay,confocal laser scanning microscopy,latex agglutination assay,and real time qRT-PCR,we examined whether the EtOAc fraction inhibited the formation of MRSA ***:The EtOAc fraction exhibited distinct activity against biofilm formation and cell-surface attachment of MRSA up to 1 mg/m L through down-regulating the expression of mec A gene and the production and agglutination of penicillin-binding protein 2 a as solidly observed in biofilm inhibition assay,cell-suface attachment assay,confocal laser scanning microscopy,latex agglutination assay,and real time qRT-PCR ***:These results suggest that *** could be utilized as a potential resource for the development of new antibiofilm formation of MRSA and antibacterial agents in the future.

Organic solar cells(OSCs)have reached an outstanding certified power conversion efficiency(PCE)of over 19%in single junction and 20%in tandem architecture *** high PCEs have emerged with outstanding Y-shaped Y6 non-fullerene acceptors(NFAs),together with PM6 electron donor *** are on the rise for small-area ***,large-area OSC sub-modules are still unable to achieve such high PCEs,and the highest certified PCE reported so far is∼12%having an area of 58 *** fabricate efficient large-area OSCs,new custom-designed NFAs for large-area systems are imminent along with improvements in the sub-module fabrication ***,the search for stable yet efficient OSCs is still in *** this review,progress in small-area OSCs is presented with reference to the advancement in the chemical structure of NFAs and donor ***,the life-cycle assessment of OSCs is presented and the energy payback time of the efficient and stable OSCs is discussed and lastly,an outlook for the OSCs is given.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate whether scorpion extract elicits a neuroprotective effect in 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine(MPTP)-treated mice models, and the genes associated with the therapeutic effects using RNA sequencing(seq)***: This study investigated the changes in interaction between messenger ribonucleic acid(m RNA) expression and deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA) methylation related to the protective effects of scorpion extracts, in the substantia nigra(SN)region of a MPTP-induced Parkinson's disease(PD)***: In this model, scorpion extracts attenuated the motor impairment as demonstrated by the rotarod and open field tests. Scorpion extracts consistently attenuated the decrease of tyrosine hydroxylase(TH) positive neural cells in the SN and striatum of mice. We profiled genomewide DNA methylation using Methyl-Seq and measured the transcriptome using RNA-Seq in murine SN in the following groups: vehicle-treated MPTP-induced PD mice and scorpion extracttreated MPTP-induced PD mice. In total, 13 479 differentially expressed genes were identified in association with the anti-PD effect of the scorpion extract, mainly in the promoter and coding *** them, 47 were negatively correlated downregulated genes. Nineteen genes out of 47 downregulated genes were negatively correlated with the expression of the other 28 genes. Among these genes, SGSM1 was related to dopaminergic neurons including dopamine transporters, TH, dihydroxyphenylalanine decarboxylase, and dopamine D2 ***: This study provides insights into the anti-parkinsonian effects of scorpion extract and reveals the epigenetic targets in its therapeutic mechanism.

Generally the gold investment material consists of cristobalite,quartz and *** physical property of gold investment materials depends on its thermal expansion coefficients,compressive strength,and particles size *** the thermal expansion coefficient of cristobalite and quartz are 2.6×10^-6/℃and 2.32×10^-6/℃respectively,the composition ratio of each components influence the thermal and physical properties of gold investment *** the clinical applications,it is necessary to improve the properties of gold investment materials such as homogeneous size distribution and thermal expansion *** the present study,effect of inorganic fillers such as cristobalite and quartz on gold alloy investment was investigated to improve the properties of *** compressive strength and thermal expansion coefficients of the specimens were *** results showed that cristobalite and quartz were homogeneously distributed by milling. The optimum compressive strength was obtained at the ratio of 42：22 cristobalite and quartz,respectively.

With the rapid evolution of Internet of things(IoT),many edge devices require simultaneous connection in 5G communication *** afford massive data of IoT devices,multiple input multiple output non-orthogonal multiple access(MIMO-NOMA)method has been considered as a promising ***,there are numerous drawbacks due to error propagation and inter-user ***,proposed scheme aims to improve the reliability of the MIMO-NOMA system with digital beamforming and intracluster cooperative multi point(CoMP)to efficiently support IoT *** the conventional MIMO-NOMA system,user entities are grouped into *** diagonalization(BD)is applied to efficiently eliminate the inter-cluster interference of the MIMO-NOMA ***,since the channel path of the data stream from a single antenna to a single cluster doesn’t hold other cluster’s data,the system can’t fully utilize the selective subcarrier channel *** indicates that there can be better channel paths for a data stream at a certain subcarrier ***,proposed scheme allocates data streams to antennas adaptively considering selective channel ***,intra-cluster CoMP method is adjusted to enhance the reliability of the system in the *** simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves BER and throughput performance compared to the conventional MIMO-NOMA system.

AIM:To investigate and compare the visual and refractive outcomes of small incision lenticule extraction(SMILE),laser assisted sub-epithelial keratomileusis(LASEK),and LASEK combined with corneal collagen cross-linking(LASEKCXL)surgery in patients with less than 500μm of central corneal thickness(CCT).METHODS:The retrospective medical records review was conducted on the patients with CCT less than 500μm treated with SMILE,LASEK,and *** was a total of 172 eyes,76 eyes were in the SMILE group,53 eyes in the LASEK group,and 43 eyes in the LASEK-CXL *** distance visual acuity(UDVA),spherical equivalent refraction(SE),and corneal haze were followed up in the three groups for 12 ***:At 12 mo postoperatively,there were no statistically significant differences in UDVA and in the absolute value of SE between the three *** predictability within±0.50 D in the SMILE group(85.5%)was significantly higher than in both the LASEK group(64.2%,P<0.01)and the LASEK-CXL group(69.8%,P=0.04).The efficacy index and safety index were not significantly different among the three *** haze at 12 mo postoperatively was higher in the LASEK-CXL group(27.9%)than in the SMILE group(2.6%,P<0.01)and in the LASEK group(7.5%,P<0.01).CONCLUSION:In patients with CCT less than 500μm,SMILE,LASEK,and LASEK-CXL appear to be effective for myopic *** them,SMILE surgery shows the highest predictability.

The direct current-direct current （DC-DC） converter is designed for 1 T static random access memory （SRAM） used in display driver integrated circuits （ICs）, which consists of positive word-line voltage （VpwL）, negative word-line voltage （VinyL） and half-VDD voltage （VHDo） generator. To generate a process voltage temperature （PVT）-insensitive VpWL and VNWL, a set of circuits were proposed to generate reference voltages using bandgap reference current generators for respective voltage level detectors. Also, a VOWL regulator and a VNWL charge pump were proposed for a small-area and low-power design. The proposed VpwL regulator can provide a large driving current with a small area since it regulates an input voltage （VCI） from 2.5 to 3.3 V. The VmvL charge pump can be implemented as a high-efficiency circuit with a small area and low power since it can transfer pumped charges to VNWL node entirely. The DC-DC converter for 1 T SRAM were designed with 0.11 μm mixed signal process and operated well with satisfactory measurement results.
