Solid waste management needs,increasing pollution level by burning or dumping of waste,and the use of fossil fuels and depleting energy resources are a few of the problems of the decade that need to find *** of lots of compound polymers-rich biomass waste is done worldwide by dumping on land or into water bodies or else by incineration or long-term storage in an available facility *** kind of disposal instead becomes a reason to add the soil,water,and air pollution.A lot of multidisciplinary collaboration in different streams of science and technology has added to the efficiency of using such waste for use as an alternative energy form,like biogas and *** use of biogas plants for converting biological waste into methane using municipal solid waste(MSW)is known since a long *** with MSW,a lot of other agricultural waste and kitchen waste are also added every day to *** the complex components of such waste material like lignocellulosic wastes still don’t pass the test of qualifying as a resource for biogas and even more energy-efficient and cleaner biofuel,*** may be because of its complicated structure and a lot of parameters that affect its use for converting it into *** review is designed to analyze and compare these parameters for optimum lignocellulosic waste conversion,more specifically agriculture and food waste,into cleaner energy forms that would help to tackle the solid waste management and air pollution control more effectively.

This study is focused on the effect of vibration induced by moving trains in tunnels on the surrounding ground and structures.A three-dimensional finite element model is established for a one-track railway tunnel and an adjacent twelve-storey building frame by using commercial software Midas GTS-NX(2019)and Midas *** study considered the moving load effect of a complete train,which varies with space as well as with *** effect of factors such as train speed,overburden pressure on the tunnel and variation in soil properties are studied in the time *** a result,the variations in horizontal and vertical acceleration for two different sites,i.e.,the free ground surface(without structure)and the area containing the structure,are ***,the displacement pattern of the raft foundation is plotted for different train *** lower speeds,the heaving phenomenon is negligible,but as the speed increases,both the heaving and differential settlement increase in the *** study demonstrates that the effect of moving train vibrations should be considered in the design of new nearby structures and proper ground improvement should be considered for existing structures.

Efficacy of fermented milk and whey proteins in Helicobacter pylori eradication:A review

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) eradication is considered a necessary step in the management of peptic ulcer disease, chronic gastritis, gastric adenocarcinoma and mucosa associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma. Standard triple therapy eradication regimens are inconvenient and achieve unpredictable and often poor results. Eradication rates are decreasing over time with increase in antibiotic resistance. Fermented milk and several of its component whey proteins have emerged as candidates for complementary therapy. In this context the current review seeks to summarize the current evidence available on their role in H. pylori eradication. Pertinent narrative/systematic reviews, clinical trials and laboratory studies on individual components including fermented milk, yogurt, whey proteins, lactoferrin, α-lactalbumin (α-LA), glycomacropeptide and immunoglobulin were comprehensively searched and retrieved from Medline, Embase, Scopus, Cochrane Controlled Trials Register and abstracts/proceedings of conferences up to May 2013. A preponderance of the evidence available on fermented milk-based probiotic preparations and bovine lactoferrin suggests a beneficial effect in Helicobacter eradication. Evidence for α-LA and immunoglobulins is promising while that for glycomacropeptide is preliminary and requires substantiation. The magnitude of the potential benefit documented so far is small and the precise clinical settings are ill defined. This restricts the potential use of this group as a complementary therapy in a nutraceutical setting hinging on better patient acceptability/compliance. Further work is necessary to identify the optimal substrate, fermentation process, dose and the ideal clinical setting (prevention/treatment, first line therapy/recurrence, symptomatic/asymptomatic, gastritis/ulcer diseases etc.). Effects of Ayurvedic Rasayana botanicals on CYP3A4 isoenzyme system

OBJECTIVE： Consuming botanical dietary supplements or herbal drugs along with prescription drugs may lead to potential pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic（PK-PD） herb-drug interactions（HDI）. The present study focuses on the importance of and novel approach for assessing HDI in integrative medicine with case examples of two frequently-used Ayurvedic Rasayana ***： The aqueous extracts of Asparagus racemosus（ARE） and Gymnema sylvester（GSE） were prepared as per Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India. Chemoprofiling of these extracts was done using high-performance liquid chromatography（HPLC）. Additionally, ARE was characterized for the presence of shatavarins IV and I using HPLC ＆ mass spectroscopy respectively. Effects of ARE and GSE were investigated on rat liver microsome using testosterone probe drug assay. The changes in formation of metabolite（6-β hydroxy testosterone） were monitored on incubation of testosterone alone, testosterone with ketoconazole, ARE and GSE using HPLC. Half inhibitory concentration（IC50） was used to predict plausible ***： ARE and GSE showed no inhibition with IC50 values 〉1 000 μg/m L while the standard inhibitor ketoconazole completely abolished CYP3A4-dependent activity at 0.531 μg/m L and IC50 was found to be 0.036 μg/m ***： ARE and GSE prepared as per Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India were found to be safe for CYP3A4-mediated inhibitory HDI in rats. Our in vitro study suggests the need of further in vivo investigation for HDI in order to provide clinical relevance.

Release rate kinetics of corrosion inhibitor loaded halloysite nanotube-based anticorrosion coatings on magnesium alloy AZ91D

Rare earth-doped mixed Ni-Cu-Zn ferrites as an effective photocatalytic agent for active degradation of Rhodamine B dye

In this study, a series of Gd^(3+)-doped mixed Ni-Cu-Zn ferrites with composition of Zn_(0.5)Ni_(0.3)Cu_(0.2)Fe_(2-x)Gd_(x)O_(4)(x = 0, 0.025, 0.05, 0.075, 0.1) was prepared using self-ignition sol-gel method. The prepared nanoparticles with an average size ranging from 22 to 26 nm show a single-phase cubic structure belonging to the spinel matrix. A rise in the Gd^(3+)concentration leads to an increase in crystallite size and lattice parameter. In Fourier transform infrared spectra, two main absorption bands belonging to the spinel structure are observed. The high-frequency bands(v_(1)) represent the tetrahedral complex, while the lowfrequency bands(v_(2)) signify the octahedral complex. The optical bandgap of the nanoferrites is found within the range of 2.91 to 2.41 eV, depending on their size. The magnetic characteristics of the material,such as saturation magnetization and coercivity are significantly altered with the concentration of Gd^(3+)in the solution. Using Rhodamine B(RhB) as a model organic pollutant, an in-depth investigation of the photocatalytic activity of the compounds was carried out. The present outcomes show that adding an adequate amount of Gd^(3+)significantly enhances the number of hydroxyl radicals produced by the ferrite,in turn, increasing the photocatalytic activity of the material. Mechanism elucidated by scavenger studies reveals that ·OH and holes are the primary reactive radicals responsible for the degradation *** photocatalysts show an insignificant performance loss in five consecutive cycles. Thus, it is concluded that these photocatalysts are highly suitable for the remediation of dye-contaminated wastewater.

The eyes present unique opportunities and challenges when it comes to the delivery of *** absorption by this route is bungling,there are a few side effects with conventional dosage *** inserts were prepared with prolonged release of drug and minimum swelling within cul-de-sac using *** work focused on treatment of conjunctivitis and cataracts by formulating ocular inserts of different polymeric combination of aceclofenac using hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose(HPMC,3% to 5%),chitosan(3% to 5%),poly vinyle alcohol(PVA,3% to 5%),methyl cellulose(MC,3% to 5%) as drug reservoir and ethyl cellulose(EC) polymer as rate controlling membrane by solvent casting technique with the objective of increasing contact time,achieving controlled release and greater therapeutic *** prepared ocular insert were then evaluated for physical appearances tensile strength,elongation at break(%),weight variation,uniformity of thickness,moisture absorption(%),pH,folding endurance,Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy,differential scanning *** characterization and in vitro transcorneal permeation studies reveals that,the prepared ocular insert formulations F2 and F8 containing HPMC and PVA had released their drug content,98.54% and 96.24%,respectively,over an extended period of 24 *** these formulations were selected as best optimized *** can be concluded that hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose is a good film forming hydrophilic polymer which shows potential agent for ocular drug delivery *** of polyethylene glycol enhances the permeability of aceclofenac ocular insert and has perfect zero order release,proving a promising controlled release delivery system.

[bmim]OH： An efficient catalyst for the synthesis of mono and bis spirooxindole derivatives in ethanol at room temperature

A rapid and efficient, one pot synthesis of spirooxindole derivatives has been attempted by three- component reaction of isatin, malononitrile and carbonyl compound possessing a reactive c^-methylene group by using task specific ionic liquid, 1-butyl-3-methyl imidazolium hydroxide [bmim]OH as a catalyst. The important features of this methodology are straight forward route in short reaction time at room temperature and avoid any hazardous organic solvent, toxic catalyst, tedious purification step. Interestingly, this protocol is not only limited to mono-systems but also to the synthesis of newer bis- spirooxindole system. The separation of the product and reusability of the catalyst are easy with excellent yield. The [bmim]OH catalyst system could be reused up to five recycles without appreciable loss of activity.
