Estimation of crowd count is becoming crucial nowadays,as it can help in security surveillance,crowd monitoring,and management for different *** is challenging to determine the approximate crowd size from an image of the crowd’s *** in this research study,we proposed a multi-headed convolutional neural network architecture-based model for crowd counting,where we divided our proposed model into two main components:(i)the convolutional neural network,which extracts the feature across the whole image that is given to it as an input,and(ii)the multi-headed layers,which make it easier to evaluate density maps to estimate the number of people in the input image and determine their number in the *** employed the available public benchmark crowd-counting datasets UCF CC 50 and shanghaiTech parts A and B for model training and testing to validate the model’s *** analyze the results,we used two metrics Mean Absolute Error(MAE)and Mean square Error(MsE),and compared the results of the proposed systems with the state-of-art models of crowd *** results show the superiority of the proposed system.

BACKGROUND Vancomycin flushing syndrome(VFs),also known as red man syndrome,is an allergic reaction to *** typically presents as a rash on the face,neck,and upper torso after intravenous administration of *** is blamed on rapid intravenous infusion of vancomycin during management and rarely happens after local use.A review of the literature showed that in the last 23 years,4 such cases have been ***,we add another case of VFs developed after slow local absorption of vancomycin in cement *** sUMMARY A 44-year-old male with a known case of hypertension,no history of allergies to medications,and a history of chronic osteomyelitis of the right tibia with discharging sinus over the anterolateral aspect of the *** pus culture grew staphylococcus aureus,which was sensitive to clindamycin and *** patient underwent irrigation and debridement with the placement of vancomycin cement beads made from 4 g of vancomycin powder and 40 g of polymethyl *** hours postoperatively,the patient developed a pruritic,erythematous,macular rash predominantly on his face,neck,chest,and lower extremities and to a lesser extent his upper extremities.A diagnosis of VFs was made and was successfully treated with cetirizine(10 mg,oral)and methylprednisolone sodium succinate(125 mg,intravenous).The patient continued to have itching with a facial rash for 12 h with gradual improvement.A decision was made to not remove the beads as the patient continued to ***,the rash disappeared after 96 h with no further *** VFs can occur not only after rapid intravenous injection of vancomycin but also with local release,as in our *** orthopaedic surgeons routinely use vancomycin with polymethyl methacrylate in chronic osteomyelitis and revision arthroplasty,they should be aware of such a complication occurring.

Fuzzy C-means(FCM)is a clustering method that falls under unsupervised machine *** main issues plaguing this clustering algorithm are the number of the unknown clusters within a particular dataset and initialization sensitivity of cluster *** Bee Colony(ABC)is a type of swarm algorithm that strives to improve the members’solution quality as an iterative process with the utilization of particular kinds of ***,ABC has some weaknesses,such as balancing exploration and *** improve the exploration process within the ABC algorithm,the mean artificial bee colony(MeanABC)by its modified search equation that depends on solutions of mean previous and global best is ***,to solve the main issues of FCM,Automatic clustering algorithm was proposed based on the mean artificial bee colony called(AC-MeanABC).It uses the MeanABC capability of balancing between exploration and exploitation and its capacity to explore the positive and negative directions in search space to find the best value of clusters number and centroids value.A few benchmark datasets and a set of natural images were used to evaluate the effectiveness of *** experimental findings are encouraging and indicate considerable improvements compared to other state-of-the-art approaches in the same domain.

Objective:To identify and to determine the antimicrobial susceptibility of Acinetobacter baumannii(***) clinical isolates from ICU at Aseer Central ***:The study was conducted in the Intensive Care Unit,Aseer Central Hospital,saudi Arabia over 13 months period(2014-2015).Acinetobacter species(n= 105) were isolated from various clinical *** were identified using selected phenotypic criteria and confirmed using the Vitek 2 automated *** system was used to determine the susceptibilities of 21 antimicrobial ***,isolates and drug data were analyzed using the sPss statistical software package to determine some epidemiological and microbiological ***:Of the 105 stains,*** accounted for 49(46.67%),*** complex,19(18.09%),***/haemolyticus 32(30.47),Acinetobacter haemolyticus 4(3.81%),Acinetobater lwoffii 1(0.95%) and unidentified Acinetobater species 2(1.3%).Of the 105 Acinetobacter strains,103(98.1%) were found multidrug resistant(MDR).*** strain were 100% sensitive to colistin and 74.5% to trimethoprim + *** remaining 19 antimicrobial agents revealed low or no sensitivities:amikacin 16.3%; ampicillin 7.7%; ceftazidime 7.3%.Distribution of similar sensitivities was shown by other Acinetobacter *** number of isolates from males and females indicates no statistical variation(P=0.867) whereas age groups showed significant differences(P= 0.008) as it is clear from the high percentage of infected individuals more than 60 years followed by those aged 20 to 29 years old(19.05%).Upper respiratory tract(30.48%),lower respiratory tract(47.65%) and subcutaneous tissue(9.5%) were the main sources of Acinetobacter *** mean numbers of isolates from these specimens indicate no discrepancy between specimens(P=0.731).Conclusions:Acinetobacterspecies including *** were found MDR(98.1%) according to the current Acinetobacter *** categorization.A

BACKGROUND sudden death is unanticipated,non-violent death taking place within the first 24 h after the onset of *** is a major public health problem ***,the effects of living at moderate altitude on mortality are poorly *** To retrospectively report the frequency and the main causes of sudden deaths in relation to total deaths at Asir Central Hospital,2255 m above sea level,in the southern region of saudi Arabia over a period of 4 years from 2013 to *** The medical records of 1821 deaths were examined and showed 353 cases(19.4%)of sudden *** The highest incidence of sudden death was among the elderly(51%),whereas,the lowest was among children and adolescents(6.5%).With regard to gender,the incidence of sudden death was higher in males(54.4%)compared to 45.6% in *** this study,we found that the most common direct causes of sudden death were cardiovascular diseases(29.2%),respiratory disease(22.7%),infectious disease(12.2%),cancer(9.4%)and hematological diseases(6.2%).With respect to seasonal variation,the highest incidence was during winter(31.32%)followed by summer(25.8%).CONCLUsION The results of this study will help emergency physicians and health care providers to exercise due care to reduce the incidence of sudden death and raise public awareness about the impact of sudden death.

BACKGROUND Fractional flow reserve(FFR)measurement is commonly used in the cardiac catheterization laboratory to assess the functional significance of coronary arterial *** real-world data on complications and modes of failure of FFR guidewires are *** To characterize these outcomes by analyzing the post-marketing surveillance data from the United states Food and Drug Administration Manufacturer and User Facility Device Experience(MAUDE)database for commonly used FFR *** The MAUDE database was queried from January 2010 through April 2020 for 3 FFR guidewires[PressureWireTM X(Abbott),CometTM(Boston scientific),and VerrataTM(Philips)]by searching for the following events:“Injury”,“malfunction”,“death”,and“other”.This yielded 544 *** excluding incomplete reports,486 reports were *** Guidewire tip fracture was the most commonly reported mode of failure,in 174(35.8%)cases followed by guidewire kinking(n=152,31.3%),communication failure(n=141,29.0%),and shaft fracture(n=67,13.8%).In total,133(27.4%)device failures resulted in patient adverse *** most common adverse event was retained guidewire tip,in 71(53.4%)cases,followed by freshly deployed stent dislodgment(n=26,19.6%)and coronary artery dissection(n=23,17.3%).seven deaths were *** FFR guidewire failures can occur because of various mechanisms and cause patient adverse *** MAUDE database serves as an important platform for improved collaboration among clinicians,device manufacturers,and regulators to improve device performance and optimize patient *** analysis provides mechanistic insights of FFR guidewire failure and associated adverse events but cannot verify causality or provide a comparison among different guidewires.
