BACKgROUND Bisphenol A(BPA)is present in many plastic products and food *** the other hand,fertaric acid(FA)is a hydroxycinnamic *** To investigate the effect of FA on BPA-related liver,kidney,and testis toxicity,DNA breakdown,and histopathology in male *** Thirty male albino rats were divided into five equal groups(6 rats/group):Control,paraffin oil,FA-,BPA-,and FA+BPA-treated *** control and paraffin oil groups were administered orally with 1 mL distilled water and 1 mL paraffin oil,*** FA-,BPA-,and FA+BPA-treated groups were administered orally with FA(45 mg/kg,bw)dissolved in 1 mL distilled water,BPA(4 mg/kg,bw)dissolved in 1 mL paraffin oil,and FA(45 mg/kg,bw)followed by BPA(4 mg/kg,bw),*** these treatments were given once a day for 6 *** BPA induced a significant decrease in serum alkaline phosphatase,acid phosphatase,sodium,potassium and chloride,testosterone,dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate,glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase,3β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase,and testis protein levels but a highly significant increase in serum aspartate aminotransferase,alanine aminotransferase,γ-glutamyl transpeptidase,lactate dehydrogenase,bilirubin,urea,creatinine,uric acid,luteinizing hormone,follicle stimulating hormone,sex hormone binding globulin,blood urea nitrogen,and testis cholesterol ***,FA inhibited the degradation of liver,kidney,and testis DNA *** administration of FA to BPA-treated rats restored all the above parameters to normal *** FA ameliorates BPA-induced liver,kidney,and testis toxicity,DNA breakdown,and histopathological changes.

Linear and nonlinear dust acoustic(DA)waves have been investigated in an opposite polarity dusty plasma comprising negatively and positively charged dust grains,Maxwellian electrons and ions,including the generalized polarization force *** properties of linear DA waves have been significantly altered by the dual dust polarity and polarization *** amplitude DA solitons have been discussed in the framework of the Sagdeev potential *** results show that both rarefactive and compressive solitons can exist in such a dusty *** basic features of the Sagdeev potential have been examined under the effect of the polarization force parameter R,the ratio of the charge number of the positive dust to that of the negative dust Z,and the Mach number *** results show that these parameters play a significant role in determining the region of existence of large amplitude DA solitons.

Trusses used for roof support in coal mines are constructed of two grouted bolts installed at opposing forty-five degree angles into the roof and a cross member that ties the angled bolts together. The load on the cross member is vertical, which is transverse to the longitudinal axis, and therefore the cross member is loaded in the weakest direction. Laboratory tests were conducted to determine the vertical load capacity and deflection of three different types of cross members. Single-point load tests, with the load applied in the center of the specimen and double-point load tests, with a span of 2.4 m, were conducted. For the single-point load configuration, the yield of the 25 mm solid bar cross member was nominally 98 kN of vertical load, achieved at 42 cm of deflection. For cable cross members, yield was not achieved even after 45 cm of deflection. Peak vertical loads were about 89 kN for 17 mm cables and67 kN for the 15 mm cables. For the double-point load configurations, the 25 mm solid bar cross members yielded at 150 kN of vertical load and 25 cm of deflection. At 25 cm of deflection individual cable strands started breaking at 133 and 111 kN of vertical load for the 17 and 15 mm cable cross members respectively.

The construction and performance characteristics of new sensitive and selective in situ modified screen printed （ISPE） and carbon paste （ICPE） electrodes for determination of naphazoline hydrochloride （NPZ-HC1） have been developed. The electrodes under investigation show potentiometric response for NPZ-HC1 in the concentration range from 7.0 x 10-7 to 1.0 x 10-2 M at 25 ~C and the electrode response is independent of pH in the range of 3.1-7.9. These sensors have slope values of 59.7＋0.6 and 59.2＋0.2 mV decade-l with detection limit values of 5.6 ~ 10-7 and 5.9 x 10-7 M NPZ- HC1 using ISPE and ICPE, respectively. These electrodes show fast response time of 4-7 s and 5-8 s and exhibits lifetimes of 28 and 30 days for ISPE and ICPE, respectively. Selectivity for NPZ-HC1 with respect to a number of interfering materials was also investigated. It was found that there is no interference from the investigated inorganic cations, anions, sugars and other pharmaceutical excipients. The proposed sensors were applied for the determination of NPZ-HC1 in pharmaceutical formulation using the direct potentiometric method. It showed a mean average recovery of 100.2% and 102.6% for ISPE and ICPE, respectively. The obtained results using the proposed sensors were in good agreement with those obtained using the official method. The proposed sensors show significantly high selectivity, response time, accuracy, precision, limit of detection （LOD）and limit of quantification （LOQ） compared with other proposed methods.
