This paper studies the problem of linear matrix inequality （LMI） approach to robust stability analysis for stochastic neural networks with a time-varying delay. By developing a delay decomposition approach, the information of the delayed plant states can be taken into full consideration. Based on the new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, some inequality techniques and stochastic stability theory, new delay-dependent stability criteria are obtained in terms of LMIs. The proposed results prove the less conservatism, which are realized by choosing new Lyapunov matrices in the decomposed integral intervals. Finally, numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the less conservatism and effectiveness of the proposed LMI method.

Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium spp. are entomopathogenic fungi with potential applications beyond insect pest control, including plant disease suppression, plant growth promotion, and rhizosphere colonization. This study investigated the plant growth-promoting characteristics and extracellular enzyme activities of Metarhizium spp. and B. bassiana in relation to phytopathogen interactions and plant growth. Additionally, the efficacy of these fungi in mitigating damping-off and root rot caused by Rhizoctonia solani on cucumber plants was evaluated in vitro and in vivo. Results indicate that B. bassiana and M. anisopliae produce indole-3-acetic acid, hydrocyanic acid, and hydrolytic enzymes. seed treatment with these fungi significantly reduced disease severity (3.85%-1.86%, respectively) and enhanced germination parameters [germination percentage (85.33%-86%, respectively), germination index (10.67-12.29, respectively), seedling length vigor index (86.41-109.44, respectively), and seedling weight vigor index (30.24-37.57, respectively)] compared to the control positive. Both fungi demonstrated high inhibition rates of R. solani mycelial growth (93.90%-90.46%, respectively). Greenhouse trials revealed that preventive treatments using B. bassiana and M. anisopliae increased catalase (104.40- 105.52 units/mg protein/min, respectively), (4.58-5.77 units/mg protein/min, respectively), superoxide dismutase (40.65-41.74 units/mg protein/min, respectively), and polyphenol oxidase (0.539-0.559 units/mg protein/min, respectively) activities, as well as total phenolic (2.60-2.65 mg/g, respectively) and total sugar content (2.23- 2.16 mg/g, respectively) in cucumber plants. Consequently, disease severity (9.51-6.99%, respectively) was reduced, and plant height (93.76-98.76 cm, respectively) increased compared to the positive control. The selectivity characteristics of 4 juvenile fish escape panel designs and their utility for the regulation of a multi-species demersal trap fishery were evaluated using a suite of objective socio-economic and biological criteria. The panel designs consisted of a control (type A) which had a hexagonal mesh size which was the same as that of the body of the trap (3.5 cm), a rectangular mesh (type B) which was representative of the current regulation (5.0 x 7.6 cm) and 2 escape panels with square meshes of 7.5 x 7.5 cm (type C) and 10.0 x 10.0 cm (type D). The results demonstrated that there was only a limited reduction in the proportion of juvenile fish and by-catch retained for the existing juvenile escape panel design (type B). Furthermore, as the selectivity characteristics for the key species (Epinephelus coioides and Diagramma pictum) were similar to the control type, the predicted increases in yields, revenues and spawning stock biomass were small by comparison. The escape panel with the largest mesh size (type D) retained the least un-utilized and discarded by-catch. Whilst simulations predicted the highest spawner biomass per recruit, long term yields and revenues for the key species, its use was associated with a dramatic short-term decline in revenues which were 23.3% of the value of the control type. Traps fitted with the type C which had a square mesh of 7.5 x 7.5 cm had the lowest juvenile retention and the highest overall score for all the assessment criteria combined. The study provides an empirical basis for gear regulations for the demersal trap fishery of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the wider Arabian Gulf region.

The plane-wave assumption for incident sH waves can be a good approximation for cylindrical and spherical waves radiated from finite sources, even when the source is as close as twice the size of the inhomogeneity, and when the source and the inhomogeneity are described within the same coordinate system. However, in a more general setting, and when the fault＇s radiation pattern must be considered, the plane-wave approximation may not yield satisfactory answers for arbitrary orientation of the fault. Jalali et al. （2015） demonstrated this for a semi-cylindrical, sedimentary valley, and in this study we extend their results to a case in which the semi-circular, sedimentary valley is replaced by a canyon. We describe the effects of incident cylindrical waves on the amplitudes of surface motion in and near the semi-cylindrical canyon when the causative faults are at different distances and have different curvatures and orientations.

Background: Cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) is an endemic disease in Iraq, now is running in an outbreaks. Many therapies have been tried in treatment of the disease. Objective: Loranthus europaeus (LE) is a well-known medical plant and has many pharmacological effects in many in vitro studies. The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of 40% LE ointment and compared it with topical 25% podophyllin solution in treatment of acute CL. Patients and Methods: Thirty five patients with acute CL were enrolled in this single blinded, therapeutic, comparative study, which was done in the Department of Dermatology, Baghdad Teaching Hospital, Baghdad, Iraq during January 2015-Jully 2015. The total number of lesions were 86 (76 lesions treated and ten lesions in a covered area left without treatment as control). Duration of lesions ranged from 4 to 12 (7.37 ± 2.77) weeks. The size of lesions ranged from 0.5 - 7 (2.81 ± 1.76) cm. Diagnosis was confirmed by biopsy and/or smears. Lesions were divided in to two groups and scored as (mild, moderate, marked, complete cure) according to a modified sharquie’s leishmania score to assess the objective response to the topical or systemic therapy. Group A:Thirty three (43.42%) lesions treated with topical 25% podophyllin solution once weekly for maximum 6 weeks. Group B: Forty three (56.58%) lesions treated with 40% LE ointment once daily at bedtime for 6 hours under occlusion for maximum 6 weeks. The followed-up was carried out every 2 weeks for 8 weeks during treatment, then monthly for next three months after end of therapy. Results: the total number of lesions was 86 lesions, 46 (53.49%) were ulcerated and 40 (46.51%) were dry;18 (51.43%) patients had single lesion while 17 (48.57%) patients had multiple lesions. At the end of therapy (6 weeks after starting treatment), the cure rate was 84.84% in Group A, and 79.07% in Group B. The attenuation of technically induced surface waves is studied theoretically and experimentally. In this paper, nineteen measurements of ground vibrations induced by eight different technical sources including road and rail traffic, vibratory and impulsive construction work or pile driving, explosions, hammer impulses and mass drops are described, and it is shown that the technically induced ground vibrations exhibit a power-law attenuation v - r ~ where the exponents q are in the range of 0.5 to 2.0 and depend on the source types. Comparisons performed demonstrate that the measured exponents are considerably higher than theoretically expected. some potential effects on ground vibration attenuation are theoretically analyzed. The most important effect is due to the material or scattering damping. Each frequency component is attenuated exponentially as exp（-kr）, but for a broad-band excitation, the sum of the exponential la.s.also yields a power law but with a high exponent. Additional effects are discussed, for example the dispersion of the Rayleigh wave due to soil layering, which yields an additional exponent of 0.5 in cases of impulsive loading.

he frequency of EGFR mutations is ethnicity-dependent, with a higher proportion in Asian population than in whites. The prevalence of these mutations among Arab patients is unknown. The objective of this study was to report the frequency and spectrum of EGFR mutations in our population with lung adenocarcinoma, and the effect of this mutation on treatment outcome. Tumor specimens from 81 patients histological diagnosed as NsCLC adenocarcinoma were reviewed by our local pathologist and then sent to Lab 21 London, UK. samples were tested for 28 mutations in EGFR gene. Positive patients received TKI and negative patients received chemotherapy. Data were collected and retrospectively analyzed to determine frequency and spectrum of EGFR positivity. Patients were followed for time to progression (TTP) and overall survival (Os). Overall frequency of EGFR mutation was 37%;Del 19 (46.6%), L858R (40%), D719x and insertion 20 (6.7%) for each. Females and nonsmokers exhibited a statistically significant higher EGFR positivity (P = 0.003, 0.059) respectively. Overall response rate (ORR) was 76.6% and 43% in EGFR positive and negative cases respectively (P = 0.002). There was a statistically significant difference in TTP and Os between EGFR positive and negative patients (P = 0.035 and 0.039 respectively). Arab patients exhibit an EGFR mutation pattern that is closer to Asian population. EGFR gene mutation subtypes are the same as that reported worldwide. A statistically significant TTP and Os benefit was noticed in EGFR positive patients compared to EGFR negative cases.

A new nonlinear integral resonant controller（NIRC） is introduced in this paper to suppress vibration in nonlinear oscillatory smart structures. The NIRC consists of a first-order resonant integrator that provides additional damping in a closed-loop system response to reduce highamplitude nonlinear vibration around the fundamental resonance frequency. The method of multiple scales is used to obtain an approximate solution for the closed-loop *** closed-loop system stability is investigated using the resulting modulation equation. Finally, the effects of different control system parameters are illustrated and an approximate solution response is verified via numerical simulation *** advantages and disadvantages of the proposed controller are presented and extensively discussed in the results. The controlled system via the NIRC shows no high-amplitude peaks in the neighboring frequencies of the resonant mode,unlike conventional second-order compensation *** makes the NIRC controlled system robust to excitation frequency variations.

Wireless sensor networks (WsNs) are exposed to a variety of attacks. The quality and complexity of attacks are rising day by day. The proposed work aims at showing how the complexity of modern attacks is growing accordingly, leading to a similar rise in methods of resistance. Limitations in computational and battery power in sensor nodes are constraints on the diversity of security mechanisms. We must apply only suitable mechanisms to WsN where our approach was motivated by the application of an improved Feistel scheme. The modified accelerated-cipher design uses data-dependent permutations, and can be used for fast hardware, firmware, software and WsN encryption systems. The approach presented showed that ciphers using this approach are less likely to suffer intrusion of differential cryptanalysis than currently used popular WsN ciphers like DEs, Camellia and so on.
