Geochemistry of lamprophyre dykes, Wadi Sikait area, South Eastern Desert, Egypt

The Wadi Sikait area lies at about 95 km southwest of marsa Alam City along the Red Sea Coast, Eastern Desert, Egypt. It is occupied by Precambrian rocks of ophiolitic mélange, metamorphosed sandstones (mSS), gab-bros and monzogranites which were later intruded by lamprophyre dykes and quartz veins. The lamprophyre dykes were extruded in NW-SE and NE-SW trends cutting monzogranites and metamor-phosed sandstones. The lamprophyres are porphyritic and composed of clinopyroxene, olivine and amphibole phenocrysts enclosed in a fine-grained groundmass of clinopyroxene, amphibole, opaque and lithium mica. The al-teration products are represented by amphibole (tremolite-actinolite and hornblende), carbonate, epidote, chlorite, iddingsite, clay minerals, limonite and serpentine. The Sikait lamprophyre dykes can be classified as alkaline lamprophyres characterized by silica contents rang-ing from 41.65 wt% to 50.88 wt% and Na2O>K2O. They are enriched in LILE, LREE and HFSE, but strongly de-pleted in compatible elements such as Cr and Ni relative to the primitive mantle. Sikait lamprophyres have moderate Zr/Hf (35.6-52.8) and Nb/Ta (20.5-22.5) ratios. most of these features are attributed to the origin of these dykes from the metasomatized mantle affected by subduction-related fluid. These lamprophyres are compositionally similar to Salu lamprophyres in eastern China. The Sikait lamprophyre samples have high LREE (320×10-6-419×10-6) relative to HREE (20×10-6-33×10-6) with ratios (LREE/HREE=11.6-18.7) and no negative Eu anomaly (Eu/Eu*=0.9-1.04). The relative presence of posi-tive Ce anomaly (Ce/Ce*=1.04) in lamprophyre samples suggests the oxidizing condition under which the REEs were precipitated due to the common occurrence of fluorite and apatite.

Integration of ID and 3D modeling schemes to establish the Farewell Formation as a self-sourced reservoir in Kupe Field, Taranaki Basin, New Zealand

Along with conventional methods,this paper proposed a method in which ID and 3D models are integrated to identify the self-sourced reservoir potential of the Farewell Formation in the Kupe Gas Field within the Taranaki Basin,New *** rock characteristics were evaluated at both field and basin scales by investigating source rock maturity,type of organic matter,and hydrocarbon generation potential by rock pyrolysis,using Rock-Eval 2 and *** ID thermal and burial history model established the rate of sedimentation and thermal history of the Kupe 4 *** characterization at field-scale was determined by seismic interpretation,well log analysis,and 3D structural and petrophysical *** sediments of the Farewell Formation contain types Ⅱ-Ⅲ(oil/gas prone)and type Ⅲ(gas prone)and have fair-to-excellent generation *** oxygen and hydrogen indices ranged from 3 to 476 mg C0_(2)/g TOC and 26 to 356 mg HC/g TOC,respectively,whereas the thermal maturity determined by vitrinite reflectance values ranged between 0.3%and 0.72%,indicating that the Farewell Formation is in immature-to-mature hydrocarbon generation ***,Farewell Formation was verified to be a good source ***,structural interpretations demonstrated the structural complexity of an extensional and contractional regime within the reservoir *** faults indicated a good reservoir property there with a trapping mechanism as well as migration paths.A well-log-based petrophysical analysis established the presence of up to 70%hydrocarbon saturation within the pore spaces of Farewell *** 3D models confirmed that the Farewell Formation has significant sand zones and hydrocarbon-saturated zones,thereby proving its very good reservoir *** has been proved that the ID and 3D structural schemes,integrated with geological techniques,was vital in identifying the Kupe Field as a self-sourced reservoir.

Traffic flow prediction becomes an essential process for intelligent transportation systems(ITS).Though traffic sensor devices are manually controllable,traffic flow data with distinct length,uneven sampling,and missing data finds challenging for effective *** traffic data has been considerably increased in recent times which cannot be handled by traditional mathematical *** recent developments of statistic and deep learning(DL)models pave a way for the effectual design of traffic flow prediction(TFP)*** this view,this study designs optimal attentionbased deep learning with statistical analysis for TFP(OADLSA-TFP)*** presentedOADLSA-TFP model intends to effectually forecast the level of traffic in the *** attain this,the OADLSA-TFP model employs attention-based bidirectional long short-term memory(ABLSTm)model for predicting traffic *** order to enhance the performance of the ABLSTm model,the hyperparameter optimization process is performed using artificial fish swarm algorithm(AFSA).A wide-ranging experimental analysis is carried out on benchmark dataset and the obtained values reported the enhancements of the OADLSA-TFP model over the recent approaches mean square error(mSE),root mean square error(RmSE),and mean absolute percentage error(mAPE)of 120.342%,10.970%,and 8.146%respectively.

Nonlinear forced vibration in a subcritical regime of a porous functionally graded pipe conveying fluid with a retaining clip

This study examines the nonlinear behaviors of a clamped-clamped porous pipe made of a functionally graded material(FGm) that conveys fluids and is equipped with a retaining clip, focusing on primary resonance and subcritical dynamics. The nonlinear governing equations for the FGm pipe are derived by the extended Hamilton's principle, and subsequently discretized through the application of the Galerkin *** direct method of multi-scales is then used to solve the derived equations. A thorough analysis of various parameters, including the clip stiffness, the power-law index, the porosity, and the clip location, is conducted to gain a comprehensive understanding of the system's nonlinear dynamics. Through the analysis of the first natural frequency, the study highlights the influence of the flow velocity and the clip stiffness, while the comparisons with metallic pipes emphasize the role of FGm composition. The examination of the forced response curves reveals saddle-node bifurcations and their dependence on parameters such as the detuning parameter and the power-law index, offering valuable insights into the system's nonlinear resonant behavior. Furthermore, the frequency-response curves illustrate the hardening nonlinearities influenced by factors such as the porosity and the clip stiffness, revealing nuanced effects on the system response and resonance characteristics. This comprehensive analysis enhances the understanding of nonlinear behaviors in FGm porous pipes with a retaining clip, providing key insights for practical engineering applications in system design and optimization.

Influences of harvester and weather conditions on field loss and milling quality of rough rice

A better understanding of factors affecting field losses and milling quality during harvest is needed to improve the economic value of *** main objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of harvester header,harvester type,and weather conditions on field loss and milling quality of rough *** popular harvesters equipped with different headers:John Deere 9870 with header D60-S,John Deere 9860 with header D972-S,Hardy,and John Deere 9770 with stripper header were evaluated in this *** header and total field losses of rice were evaluated for each harvester under regular,rainy and windy weather *** were conducted in a rice field cultivated with medium grain rice,variety m206,at Grimes,*** rice yield(TRY),head rice yield(HRY)and whiteness index(WI)were examined to evaluate the effect of weather conditions on milling *** obtained results revealed that the rice field loss was affected by harvester header and type,and weather *** the conventional headers,D60-S significantly reduced the rice loss compared to the D972-S and the *** with John Deere 9860 resulted in significant header and field loss compared to other tested *** average loss increased from 236.2 kg/hm^(2)and 445.2 kg/hm^(2)under regular condition to 711.1 kg/hm^(2)and 907.9 kg/hm^(2)under windy condition for John Deere 9870 and John Deere 9860,*** corresponding loss percentages increased from 2.6%and 4.9%to 7.9%and 10.1%.HRY was significantly affected by weather condition at harvest ***,the weather condition had no significant effect on TRY and *** minimize the rice field loss and obtain good milling quality,commercial rice harvesting during regular weather conditions is important.A proper combination of harvester type and header could be vital for reducing the rice loss.

Development of fatigue analytical model of automotive dynamic parts made of semi-solid aluminum alloys

Automotive suspension control arm is used to join the steering knuckle to the vehicle frame. Its main function is to provide stability under fatigue stresses of loading and unloading in accelerating and braking. Conventionally, these parts were made of steel; however, fuel consumption and emission of polluting gases are strongly dependent on car weight. Recently, there is a try to develop and design much lighter and better fatigue resistant metal of semisolid A357 aluminum alloys. This work aims at a better understanding of identifying the fatigue strain-hardening parameters used for determining fatigue characteristics of aluminum suspension control arm using analytical and mathematical modeling. The most judicious method is to perform the fatigue tests on standardized test pieces and then plot two Wohler curves, mainly number of cycles as a function of the stress and as a function of the deformation. From these curves and following a certain mathematical and analytical methods, certain curves are plotted and then all of these coefficients are drawn. The new calculated parameters showed a clear improvement of the fatigue curve towards the experimental curve performed on the samples of aluminum alloy A357 compared with the same analytical curve for the same alloy.

Neurogenesis dynamics in the olfactory bulb:deciphering circuitry organization, function, and adaptive plasticity

Adult neurogenesis persists after birth in the subventricular zone, with new neurons migrating to the granule cell layer and glomerular layers of the olfactory bulb, where they integrate into existing circuitry as inhibitory interneurons. The generation of these new neurons in the olfactory bulb supports both structural and functional plasticity, aiding in circuit remodeling triggered by memory and learning processes. However, the presence of these neurons, coupled with the cellular diversity within the olfactory bulb, presents an ongoing challenge in understanding its network organization and function. moreover,the continuous integration of new neurons in the olfactory bulb plays a pivotal role in regulating olfactory information processing. This adaptive process responds to changes in epithelial composition and contributes to the formation of olfactory memories by modulating cellular connectivity within the olfactory bulb and interacting intricately with higher-order brain regions. The role of adult neurogenesis in olfactory bulb functions remains a topic of debate. Nevertheless, the functionality of the olfactory bulb is intricately linked to the organization of granule cells around mitral and tufted cells. This organizational pattern significantly impacts output, network behavior, and synaptic plasticity, which are crucial for olfactory perception and memory. Additionally, this organization is further shaped by axon terminals originating from cortical and subcortical regions. Despite the crucial role of olfactory bulb in brain functions and behaviors related to olfaction, these complex and highly interconnected processes have not been comprehensively studied as a whole. Therefore, this manuscript aims to discuss our current understanding and explore how neural plasticity and olfactory neurogenesis contribute to enhancing the adaptability of the olfactory system.
