BACKGROUND Insulin resistance is a risk factor for metabolic syndromes and is associated with a wide variety of metabolic illnesses,including obesity,type 2 diabetes,and cardiovascular *** To investigate and map global insulin resistance *** A bibliometric methodology was applied to the literature retrieved from the Scopus database and Reference Citation Analysis(https://***)by using a validated search *** study period was limited from 2002 to *** indicators and mapping were *** A total of 26808 articles on the topic of insulin resistance were included in the Scopus *** articles included research articles(n=21918;81.76%),review articles(n=2641;9.85%),and letters(n=653;2.44%).During the study period,136 countries contributed to the research on insulin *** highest number of articles was from the United States(n=7360;27.45%),followed by China(n=3713;13.85%),Japan(n=1730,6.45%),Italy(n=1545;5.54%),and the United Kingdom(n=1484;5.54%).The retrieved articles identified two main research themes:“inflammatory mechanisms in the regulation of insulin resistance”and“mechanisms linking obesity to insulin resistance”.CONCLUSION Our data show that insulin resistance has steadily gained interest from researchers,as evidenced by the number of citations and yearly *** have grown significantly in the last decade,while low-income countries with greater burdens continue to produce fewer publications in this *** approach might assist researchers in choosing new research areas and recognizing research hotspots and *** the future,perhaps high-quality clinical evidence will be acquired.

This paper introduces a new enhanced Arabic stemming algorithm for solving the information retrieval problem,especially in medical *** proposed algorithm is a light stemming algorithm for extracting stems and roots from the input *** of the main challenges facing the light stemming algorithm is cutting off the input word,to extract the initial *** initiating the light stemmer with strong initial segments,the final extracting stems and roots will be more ***,a new enhanced segmentation based on deploying the Direct Acyclic Graph(DAG)model is *** addition to extracting the powerful initial segments,the main two procedures(i.e.,stems and roots extraction),should be also reinforced with more efficient operators to improve the final *** validate the proposed enhanced stemmer,four data sets are *** achieved stems and roots resulted from our proposed light stemmer are compared with the results obtained from five other well-known Arabic light stemmers using the same data *** evaluation process proved that the proposed enhanced stemmer outperformed other comparative stemmers.

Using Project-Based Learning （PBL） in Management Accounting Course： Lesson and Reflection From Entrepreneurship education

One of the main issues in entrepreneurship education is integrating core course to entrepreneurship course. Many educators fail to integrate core course and entrepreneurial education. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the integration of management accounting course in entrepreneurship course will accomplish the objective of entrepreneurship education. This study is derived from the experience of entrepreneurial project course at Management Department of Ciputra University, Surabaya. This study uses an explorative approach to investigate the implementation of project-based learning （PBL） in management accounting course. The result shows variation of output. There are about 91% business can be implemented by business groups and about 33% target achieved. Several management accounting techniques are used in this study, such as balanced score card （BSC）, activity-based costing （ABC）, activity-based management （ABM）, cost-volume-profit （CVP） analysis, and tactical decision making. This study found that by using management accounting techniques, student can run the business well especially when they have to make decision. This study strengthens the role of management accounting in business practices, and furthermore, this study proves that management accounting is beneficial for entrepreneurs who are still in the start-up business stage.

Does extracorporeal shock wave therapy decrease spasticity of ankle plantar flexor muscles in patients with stroke:a randomized controlled trial

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy on ankle flexor spasticity in stroke survivors and to reveal changes in the fibroelastic components of *** Randomized controlled *** Inpatient neuro-rehabilitation clinic of a university *** Stroke patients with ankle flexor *** Patients were randomized to three groups;radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy,sham,or *** and sham therapy were administered two sessions/week for two *** patients received conventional *** measures The primary outcome was Modified Ashworth *** outcomes were the Tardieu Scale and elastic properties of plantar flexor muscles assessed by elastography(strain index).All assessments were performed before,immediately after the treatment,and four weeks later at *** Fifty-one participants were enrolled(active therapyn=17,shamn=17,controln=17).Modified Ashworth scores showed a significant decrease in the active therapy group(from 2.47±0.72 to 1.41±0.62)compared to sham(from 2.19±1.05 to 2.06±1.12)and control(from 2.06±0.85 to 2.00±0.73)groups immediately after the treatment(Phowever this effect was not preserved at *** properties of the ankle flexors were improved in all groups at both assessments after the therapy showing significant decreases in strain index(Phowever,there was no difference among the groups in terms of improvement in *** Radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy has short-term anti-spastic effects on ankle flexor muscles when used as an adjunct to conventional rehabilitation.
