The intrinsic affinity of DNA m.lecules toward m.tallic ions can drive the specific form.tion of copper nanostructures within the nucleic acid helix structure in a sequence-dependent m.nner. The resultant nanostructures have interesting.fluorescent and electrochem.cal properties, which are attractive for novel biosensing.applications. However, the potential of using.DNA-tem.lated nano- structures for precision disease diag.osis rem.ins unexplored. Particularly, DNA- tem.lated nanostructures show hig. potential for the universal am.lification-free detection of different RNA biom.rker species. Because of their low cellular levels and differing.species-dependent leng.h and sequence features, sim.ltaneous detection of different m.sseng.r RNAs, m.croRNAs, and long.non-coding.RNAs species with a sing.e technique is challeng.ng. Here, we report a contem.orary technique for facile in situ assem.ly of DNA-tem.lated copper nanoblocks （CuNBs） on various RNA species targ.ts after hybridization-based m.g.etic isolation. Our approach circum.ents the typical lim.tations associated with am.lification and labeling.procedures of current RNA assays. The synthesized CuNBs enabled am.lification-free fm.level RNA detection with flexible fluorescence or electrochem.cal readouts. Furtherm.re, our nanosensing.technique displays potential for clinical application, as dem.nstrated by non-invasive analysis of three diag.ostic RNA biom.rkers from.a cohort of 10 prostate cancer patient urinary sam.les with 100%-concordance （quantitative reverse transcription- polym.rase chain reaction （PCR） validation）. The g.od analytical perform.nce and versatility of our m.thod m.y be useful in both diag.ostics and research fields.

Flash floods are the hig.est sedim.nt transporting.ag.nt,but are inaccessible for in-situ sam.ling.and have rarely been analyzed by rem.te sensing.*** and field experim.nts were done to develop linear spectral unm.xing.LSU) rem.te sensing.m.del and evaluate its perform.nce in sim.lating.the suspended sedim.nt concentration(SSC) in flash *** m.dels were developed from.continuous m.nitoring.in the laboratory and the onsite spectral sig.ature of river bed sedim.nt deposits and flash floods in the Tekeze River and in its tributary,the Tsirare *** Pearson correlation coefficient was used to determ.ne the variability of correlations between reflectance and *** coefficient of determ.nation(R2) and root m.an square of error(Rm.E) were used to evaluate the perform.nce of the g.nerated *** results found that the Pearson correlation coefficient between SSCs and reflectance varied based on the level of the SSCs,g.olog.cal colors,and g.ain *** perform.nce of the LSU m.del and em.irical rem.te sensing.approaches were com.uted to be R2=0.92,and Rm.E=±0.76 g.1 in the Tsirare River and R2=0.91,and Rm.E=±0.73 g.1 in the Tekeze River and R2=0.81,Rm.E=±2.65 g.l in the Tsirare river and R2=0.76,Rm.E=±10.87 g.l in the Tekeze River,***,the LSU approach of rem.te sensing.was found to be relatively accurate in m.nitoring.and m.deling.the variability of SSCs that could be applied to the upper Tekeze River basin.

Persons with disabilities have a rig.t to effective access to justice under the United Nations Convention on the Rig.ts of Persons with Disabilities （UNCRPD）. This article provides insig.ts on the param.ters of that rig.t, including.a close exam.nation of the history and text of Article 13, which directly addresses access to justice and other relevant UNCRPD provisions. In addition to the UNCRPD, this article discusses im.lem.ntation g.idance from.the Com.ittee on the Rig.ts of Persons with Disabilities, including.its g.idelines for State Party reports and jurisprudence. The initial reports by eleven States Parties -- Arg.ntina, Azerbaijan, China, Costa Rica, Croatia, Dom.nican Republic, Ecuador, Hung.ry, m.xico, Peru and Turkm.nistan - are also considered. The Com.ittee＇s feedback reg.rding.im.lem.ntation of Article 13 by these eleven States parties is critiqued for being.lim.ted and inconsistent. This article then attem.ts to clarify what effective access to justice actually requires. It does so by focusing.on the insig.ts that can be drawn from.im.lem.ntation of Article 13 since the UNCRPD was adopted as well as im.lem.ntation g.idance from.the Conference of States Parties, the International Disability Alliance, the World Network of Users and Survivors of Psychiatry and the National Center for Access to Justice. This article concludes with recom.endations on how the Com.ittee can im.rove its g.idance on access to justice to help ensure that equal rig.ts will not be illusory for persons with disabilities.

This study reports that the carbon star Cg.S 673 is a sem.-reg.lar(SR)variable star with a period of 135 d and an am.litude of 0.18m.g.in the *** lig.t curve obtained by this study correlates well with the SR classification as the photom.tric data obtained show noticeable periodicity in the lig.t chang.s of Cg.S 673 that is occasionally interrupted by a period of irreg.lar *** derived period and colour index obtained from.our data and those from.professional databases indicate that the attributes of this star fall within the param.ters of the SR class of variable *** our notification of the discovery that this star is a variable source,Cg.S 673 has received the AAVSO Unique Identifier of(AAVSO UID)000-Bm.-492.

Ant colonies self-org.nize to solve com.lex problem. despite the sim.licity of an individual ant＇s brain. Pavem.nt ant Tetram.rium.caespitum.colonies m.st solve the problem.of defending.the ter- ritory that they patrol in search of energ.tically rich forag.. When m.m.ers of 2 colonies random.y interact at the territory boundary a decision to fig.t occurs when： 1） there is a m.sm.tch in nest- m.te recog.ition cues and 2） each ant has a recent history of hig. interaction rates with nestm.te ants. Instead of fig.ting. som. ants will decide to recruit m.re workers from.the nest to the fig.ting.location, and in this way a positive feedback m.diates the developm.nt of colony wide wars. In ants, the m.noam.nes serotonin （5-HT） and octopam.ne （OA） m.dulate m.ny behaviors associated with colony org.nization and in particular behaviors associated with nestm.te recog.ition and ag. g.ession. In this article, we develop and explore an ag.nt-based m.del that conceptualizes how in- dividual chang.s in brain concentrations of 5-HT and OA, paired with a sim.le threshold-based de- cision rule, can lead to the developm.nt of colony wide warfare. m.del sim.lations do lead to the developm.nt of warfare with 91% of ants fig.ting.at the end of 1 h. When conducting.a sensitivity analysis, we determ.ned that uncertainty in m.noam.ne concentration sig.al decay influences the behavior of the m.del m.re than uncertainty in the decision-m.king.rule or density. We conclude that pavem.nt ant behavior is consistent with the detection of interaction rate throug. a sing.e tim.d interval rather than integ.ation of m.ltiple interactions.
