Platinum-group-metal-based alloy nanocrystals have been considered as the most effi cient catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).However,the poor stability issues limit their further deployment in *** oxide(WO_(3))has received attention due to its intrinsic electrochemical stability and proton absorption/desorption *** this work,we prepared PtCuNi/WO_(3)/C hybrid catalyst with inter-diff usive alloy/WO_(3)interface on *** catalyst exhibits enhanced activity and stability associated with the WO_(3)*** characterization results suggest that the increased activity originates from the complementary proton supply of non-stoichiometric H_(x)WO_(3).Moreover,WO_(3)prevents the particle from dissolution and detachment under vigorous electrochemical *** enhanced stability originates from the electronic interaction established between Pt and *** work provides new strategies to design high-performance ORR catalysts by taking the merits of WO_(3)。

Amorphous/nanocrystalline dual-phase structures have recently emerged as an effective way for over-coming the strength-ductility trade-offand breaking the limitation of the reverse Hall-Petch ***,we proposed a new strategy to develop a hierarchical and interconnected amorphous-crystalline nanocomposite arising from the nanoscale elemental interdiffusion and oxygen adsorption behavior dur-ing thermal treatment *** nanocomposite consisted of a three-dimensional(3D)hierarchical network structure where the crystalline phase(Cr-Co-Ni-Al)was embedded into the Al-O-based amor-phous phase network with critical feature sizes encompassing three orders of magnitude(from microm-eter to nanometer scale).It can achieve ultrahigh compression yield strength of-3.6 GPa with large homogeneous deformation of over 50%*** massive interstitial atoms induced lattice distortion and hierarchical amorphous phase boundary contributed to the strength *** situ Uniaxial compression inside a transmission electron microscope(TEM)revealed that the exceptional deformability of the nanocomposites resulted from the homogenous plastic flow of nano-sized amorphous phase and the plastic co-deformation behavior restricted by the nano-architected dual-phase *** proposed dual-phase synthesis approach can outperform conventional nanolaminates design strategies in terms of the mechanical properties achievable while providing a pathway to easily tune the microstructure of these nanolaminates.

The utilization of electromagnetic waves is rapidly advancing into the millimeter-wave frequency range,posing increasingly severe challenges in terms of electromagnetic pollution prevention and radar ***,existing millimeter-wave absorbers are still inadequate in addressing these issues due to their monotonous magnetic resonance *** this work,rare-earth La^(3+)and non-magnetic Zr^(4+)ions are simultaneously incorporated into M-type barium ferrite(BaM)to intentionally manipulate the multi-magnetic resonance *** leveraging the contrary impact of La^(3+)and Zr^(4+)ions on magnetocrystalline anisotropy field,the restrictive relationship between intensity and frequency of the multi-magnetic resonance is successfully *** magnetic resonance peak-differentiating and imitating results confirm that significant multi-magnetic resonance phenomenon emerges around 35 GHz due to the reinforced exchange coupling effect between Fe^(3+)and Fe^(2+)***,Mosbauer spectra analysis,first-principle calculations,and least square fitting collectively identify that additional La^(3+)doping leads to a profound rearrangement of Zr^(4+)occupation and thus makes the portion of polarization/conduction loss increase *** a consequence,the La^(3+)-Zr^(4+)co-doped BaM achieves an ultra-broad bandwidth of 12.5+GHz covering from 27.5 to 40+GHz,which holds remarkable potential for millimeter-wave absorbers around the atmospheric window of 35 GHz.

As a noninvasive technique,ultrasound stimulation is known to modulate neuronal activity both in vitro and in *** latest explanation of this phenomenon is that the acoustic wave can activate the ion channels and further impact the electrophysiological properties of targeted ***,the underlying mechanism of low-intensity pulsed ultrasound(LIPUS)-induced neuro-modulation effects is still ***,we characterize the excitatory effects of LIPUS on spontaneous activity and the intracellular Ca^(2+)homeostasis in cultured hippocampal *** whole-cell patch clamp recording,we found that 15 min of 1-MHz LIPUS boosts the frequency of both spontaneous action potentials and spontaneous excitatory synaptic currents(sEPSCs)and also increases the amplitude of sEPSCs in hippocampal *** phenomenon lasts for>10 min after LIPUS *** with Ca^(2+)imaging,we clarified that LIPUS increases the[Ca^(2+)]cyto level by facilitating L-type Ca^(2+)channels(LTCCs).In addition,due to the[Ca^(2+)]cyto elevation by LIPUS exposure,the Ca^(2+)-dependent CaMKII-CREB pathway can be activated within 30 min to further regulate the gene transcription and protein *** work suggests that LIPUS regulates neuronal activity in a Ca^(2+)-dependent manner via *** may also explain the multi-activation effects of LIPUS beyond *** stimulation potentiates spontaneous neuronal activity by increasing Ca^(2+)influx.

Negative charged acidic polarity (NCAP) has been unveiled as the guideline for selecting additives to regulate electric double layer (EDL) for Zn-ion *** glutamate has been verified to regulate EDL structure with synergetic effects, including preferential adsorption on Zn anode and reconstruction of hydrated Zn-ion *** NCAP additives, Zn|Cu half-cell achieves a high Coulombic efficiency of 99.83% for 2000 cycles, and NH4V4O10|Zn full cell realizes a high-capacity retention of 82.1% for 3000 cycles. Zinc-ion batteries are promising for large-scale electrochemical energy storage systems, which still suffer from interfacial issues, e.g., hydrogen evolution side reaction (HER), self-corrosion, and uncontrollable dendritic Zn electrodeposition. Although the regulation of electric double layer (EDL) has been verified for interfacial issues, the principle to select the additive as the regulator is still misted. Here, several typical amino acids with different characteristics were examined to reveal the interfacial behaviors in regulated EDL on the Zn anode. Negative charged acidic polarity (NCAP) has been unveiled as the guideline for selecting additive to reconstruct EDL with an inner zincophilic H2O-poor layer and to replace H2O molecules of hydrated Zn2+ with NCAP glutamate. Taking the synergistic effects of EDL regulation, the uncontrollable interface is significantly stabilized from the suppressed HER and anti-self-corrosion with uniform electrodeposition. Consequently, by adding NCAP glutamate, a high average Coulombic efficiency of 99.83% of Zn metal is achieved in Zn|Cu asymmetrical cell for over 2000 cycles, and NH4V4O10|Zn full cell exhibits a high-capacity retention of 82.1% after 3000 cycles at 2 A g-1. Recapitulating, the NCAP principle posted here can quicken the design of trailblazing electrolyte additives for aqueous Zn-based electrochemical energy storage systems.

This paper considers the customer’s equilibrium joining-balking behavior in a retrial queue with two-phase service and priority-purchasing. If the arriving customer finds the server busy, the customer can make three choices (joining the orbit, purchasing the priority or balking) based on different levels of the system information. We consider two cases:the partially observable case and the fully unobservable case. The customer’s equilibrium strategy for the partially observable case and the fully unobservable case are derived. Then, an algorithm is developed to solve the optimal fee that maximizes the service provider’s profit. Finally, the influence of system parameters on performance measures, equilibrium joining strategies and the service provider’s profits is illustrated by numerical examples.

The Ti_(p)/ZX60 composites with different Ti_(p) contents were prepared by semi-solid stirring *** extrusion,the microstructure,work hardening and softening behavior of the Ti_(p)/ZX60 composites were analyzed compared with the ZX60(Mg-6Zn-0.2Ca)*** results showed that the addition of Ti_(p) could not only promote the nucleation of dynamic recrystallized(DRXed)grains,but also be propitious to the refinement of DRXed *** increasing Ti_(p) content,the size of DRXed grains decreased accompanied with increasing volume fraction of DRXed *** the Ti_(p) content increased to 15 vol.%,the average size and volume fraction of DRXed grains reached to~0.32μm and 93.2%,***,both the strength and elongation were improved by the addition of Ti_(p).With increasing content of Ti_(p),a substantial increase in the strength was achieved with little change in the ***,the elongation decreased sharply when the Ti_(p) content further increased to 15 vol.%.The addition of Ti_(p) led to an increase in the work hardening rate,which gradually increased with increasing Ti_(p) ***,the softening rate did not demonstrate the same tendency with increasing Ti_(p) *** the conventional ceramic particles,the Ti_(p) can be deformed in coordination with the matrix alloy,which imparted a higher softening rate to the matrix *** though the softening rate improved as the Ti_(p) content increased from 5 to 10 vol.%,it dropped deeply as the Ti_(p) content increased to 15 vol.%owing to the fracture of Ti_(p) during extrusion.

Rational design of biodegradable semiconducting polymer nanoparticles for NIR-II fluorescence imaging-guided photodynamic therapy

Semiconducting polymer nanoparticles(SPNs)have shown great promise in second near-infrared window(NIR-II)***,the issue of long metabolic time significantly restricts the clinical application of *** this study,we rationally designed a biodegradable SPN(BSPN50)for NIR-II fluorescence imaging-guided photodynamic therapy(PDT).BSPN50 is prepared by encapsulating a biodegradable SP(BSP50)with an amphiphilic copolymer ***50 is composed of NIR-II fluorescent diketopyrrolopyrrole(DPP)segment and degradable poly(phenylenevinylene)(PPV)segment with the ratio of 50/***50 has both satisfactory degradability under myeloperoxidase(MPO)/hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))and NIR-II fluorescence emission upon 808 nm laser ***,BSPN50 shows good photodynamic efficacy under 808 nm laser ***50 shows a faster degradation rate than BSPN100 which has no PPV segment both in vitro and in *** addition,BSPN50 can effectively diagnose tumor via NIR-II fluorescence imaging and inhibit the tumor growth by ***,our study provides a rational approach to construct biodegradable nanoplatforms for efficient tumor NIR-II phototheranostics.

Background:Hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection is the primary cause of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)in *** target population for HCC screening comprises individuals who test positive for hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg).However,current data on the prevalence of HBV infection among individuals who are eligible for HCC screening in China are *** aimed to assess the seroepidemiology of HBV infection among Chinese individuals eligible for HCC screening to provide the latest evidence for appropriate HCC screening strategies in ***:Questionnaires including information of sex,age,ethnicity,marital status,educational level,source of drinking water,as well as smoking and alcohol consumption history and serum samples were collected from females aged 45-64 years and males aged 35-64 years in 21 counties from 4 provinces in eastern and central China between 2015 and ***-linked immunosorbent assay methods were used to detect the serum HBV marker ***:A total of 603,082 individuals were enrolled,and serum samples were collected for analysis from January 1,2015 to December 31,*** prevalence of HBsAg positive in the study population was 5.23%(31,528/603,082).The prevalence of HBsAg positive was greater in males than in females(5.60%[17,660/315,183]vs 4.82%[13,868/287,899],χ^(2)=187.52,P<0.0001).The elderly participants exhibited a greater prevalence of HBV infection than younger participants(χ^(2)=41.73,P<0.0001).Birth cohort analysis revealed an overall downward trend in HBV prevalence for both males and *** born in more recent cohorts exhibited a lower prevalence of HBV infection as compared to those born ***:The current prevalence of HBV infection remains above 5%in populations eligible for HCC screening in *** efforts should be made to increase the accessibility of HCC screening among individuals with HBV infection.

Active control of terahertz(THz)waves is attracting tremendous attentions in terahertz communications and active photonic ***,due to its excellent photoelectric conversion performance and simple manufacturing process,has emerged as a promising candidate for optoelectronic ***,the exploration of perovskites in optically controlled THz modulators is still *** this work,the photoelectric properties and carrier dynamics of FA_(0.4)MA_(0.6)PbI_(3)perovskite films were investigated by optical pumped terahertz probe(OPTP)*** ultrafast carrier dynamics reveal that FA_(0.4)MA_(0.6)PbI_(3)thin film exhibits rapid switching and relaxation time within picosecond level,suggesting that FA_(0.4)MA_(0.6)PbI_(3)is an ideal candidate for active THz devices with ultrafast ***,as a proof of concept,a FA_(0.4)MA_(0.6)PbI_(3)-based metadevice with integrating plasma-induced transparency(PIT)effect was fabricated to achieve ultrafast modulation of THz *** experimental results demonstrated that the switching time of FA_(0.4)MA_(0.6)PbI_(3)-based THz modulator is near to 3.5 ps,and the threshold of optical pump is as low as 12.7μJ cm^(-2).The simulation results attribute the mechanism of ultrafast THz modulation to photo-induced free carriers in the FA_(0.4)MA_(0.6)PbI_(3)layer,which progressively shorten the capacitive gap of PIT *** study not only illuminates the potential of FA_(0.4)MA_(0.6)PbI_(3)in THz modulation,but also contributes to the field of ultrafast photonic devices.
