Heat stress significantly impairs reproduction of sheep,and under current climatic conditions is a significant risk to the efficiency of the meat and wool production,with the impact increasing as global temperatures *** from field studies and studies conducted using environmental chambers demonstrate the effects of hot temperatures(≥32℃)on components of ewe fertility(oestrus,fertilisation,embryo survival and lambing)are most destructive when experienced from 5 d before until 5 d after *** controlled studies also demonstrate that ram fertility,as measured by rates of fertilisation and embryo survival,is reduced when mating occurs during the period 14 to 50 d ***,the contribution of the ram to heat induced reductions in flock fertility is difficult to determine *** primarily on temperature controlled studies,it is clear that sustained exposure to high temperatures(≥32℃)during pregnancy reduces lamb birthweight and will,therefore,decrease lamb survival under field *** is concluded that both ewe and ram reproduction is affected by relatively modest levels of heat stress(≥32℃)and this is a concern given that a significant proportion of the global sheep population experiences heat stress of this magnitude around mating and during *** this,strategies to limit the impacts of the climate on the homeothermy,behaviour,resource use and reproduction of extensively grazed sheep are limited,and there is an urgency to improve knowledge and to develop husbandry practices to limit these impacts.

The cultivated strawberry(Fragaria×ananassa)is an allo-octoploid species,originating nearly 300 years ago from wild progenitors from the *** that time the strawberry has become the most widely cultivated fruit crop in the world,universally appealing due to its sensory qualities and health *** recent publication of the first highquality chromosome-scale octoploid strawberry genome(***)is enabling rapid advances in genetics,stimulating scientific debate and provoking new research *** this forward-looking review we propose avenues of research toward new biological insights and applications to *** these are the origins of the genome,characterization of genetic variants,and big data approaches to *** areas of research in molecular biology will include the control of flowering,fruit development,fruit quality,and plant–pathogen *** order to realize this potential as a global community,investments in genome resources must be continually augmented.

We report a significantly-enhanced bioinformatics suite and database for proteomics research called Yale Protein Expression Database（YPED） that is used by investigators at more than 300 institutions worldwide. YPED meets the data management, archival, and analysis needs of a high-throughput mass spectrometry-based proteomics research ranging from a singlelaboratory, group of laboratories within and beyond an institution, to the entire proteomics community. The current version is a significant improvement over the first version in that it contains new modules for liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry（LC–MS/MS） database search results, label and label-free quantitative proteomic analysis, and several scoring outputs for phosphopeptide site localization. In addition, we have added both peptide and protein comparative analysis tools to enable pairwise analysis of distinct peptides/proteins in each sample and of overlapping peptides/proteins between all samples in multiple datasets. We have also implemented a targeted proteomics module for automated multiple reaction monitoring（MRM）/selective reaction monitoring（SRM） assay development. We have linked YPED＇s database search results and both label-based and label-free fold-change analysis to the Skyline Panorama repository for online spectra visualization. In addition, we have built enhanced functionality to curate peptide identifications into an MS/MS peptide spectral library for all of our protein database search identification results.

There are many advantages to understanding the genetics of human *** markers can be used to calculate the risk of developing a disease,and elucidation of genetic risk factors can pinpoint the molecular aetiology of disease,which can facilitate the development of targeted *** retinopathy(DR)is a common complication of diabetes that has a significant impact on quality of *** has a clear genetic component,but determination of the genetic risk factors has proven *** date,genome-wide studies for DR have been conducted on relatively small patient cohorts compared to other complex eye diseases and replication of genetic findings has been *** disease is highly heterogeneous,confounding attempts to classify patients into appropriate groups for genetic analysis and making direct comparisons between studies *** studies to determine the genetic causes of DR will need to focus on larger sample sizes,detailed phenotyping and appropriate classification of *** co-operation and meta-analyses combining data from multiple studies will be critical to the discovery of genetic risk loci for DR.

Obj.ctive:Since concussion is the most common inj.ry in ice hockey,the obj.ctive of the current study was to elucidate risk factors,specific mechanisms,and clinical presentations of concussion in men’s and women’s ice ***:Ice hockey players from 5 institutions participating in the Concussion Assessment,Research,and Education Consortium were eligible for the current *** who sustained a concussion outside of this sport were *** were 332(250 males,82 females)athletes who participated in ice hockey,and 47(36 males,11 females)who sustained a ***:Previous concussion(odds ratio(OR)=2.00;95%confidence interval(95%CI):1.02‒3.91)was associated with increased incident concussion odds,while wearing a mouthguard was protective against incident concussion(OR=0.43;95%CI:0.22‒0.85).Overall,concussion mechanisms did not significantly differ between *** were specific differences in how concussions presented clinically across male and female ice hockey players,***(9.09%)were less likely than males(41.67%)to have a delayed symptom onset(p=0.045).Additionally,females took significantly longer to reach asymptomatic(p=0.015)and return-to-play clearance(p=0.005).Within the first 2 weeks post-concussion,86.11%of males reached asymptomatic,while only 45.50%of females reached the same phase of *** males(91.67%)were cleared for return to play within 3 weeks of their concussion,compared to less than half(45.50%)of ***:The current study proposes possible risk factors,mechanisms,and clinical profiles to be validated in future concussions studies with larger female sample *** specific risk factors,concussion mechanisms,and clinical profiles of concussion in collegiate ice hockey may generate ideas for future concussion prevention or intervention studies.

The selection of appropriate outcome measures is fundamental to the design of any successful clinical trial. Although dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) is one of the most common neurodegenerative conditions, assessment of therapeutic benefit in clinical trials often relies on tools developed for other conditions, such as Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s disease. These may not be sufficiently valid or sensitive to treatment changes in DLB, decreasing their utility. In this review, we discuss the limitations and strengths of selected available tools used to measure DLB-associated outcomes in clinical trials and highlight the potential roles for more specific obj.ctive measures. We emphasize that the existing outcome measures require validation in the DLB population and that DLB-specific outcomes need to be developed. Finally, we highlight how the selection of outcome measures may vary between symptomatic and disease-modifying therapy trials.
