Population responses to envir on mental extremes often dic.ate the bounds to spec.es' distributions. However, population dynamic. at, or near, those range limits may also be affec.ed by sublethal effec.s. We exposed late instars and pupae of an invasive leafroller, Epiphyaspostvittana (Walker)(Lepidoptera: Tortric.dae), to c.ld temperatures and measured the effec.s of exposure on subsequent survivorship, development, and reproduc.ion. c.ld temperature was applied as ac.te exposure to -10 °c.(a low, but not immediately lethal temperature for this spec.es) or the onset of freezing (the peak of the superc.oling point exotherm). Survival was defined as the ability to suc.essfully ec.ose as an adult. We measured immature development times, pupal mass, and adult longevity as proxies of fitness in survivors. Additionally, surviving insec.s were mated with individuals that had not been exposed to c.ld to measure fertility. There was no differenc. between the proportion of larvae or pupae that survived ac.te exposure to -10 °c.and those exposed to the c.ntrol temperature. Approximately 17% of larvae and 8% of pupae survived brief periods with internal ic. formation and c.ntinued development to bec.me reproduc.ively viable adults. Importantly, surviving the onset of freezing c.me with signific.nt fitness c.sts but not to exposure to -10 °c.most insec.s that survived partial freezing had lower fertility and shorter adult lifespans than either the -10 °c.or c.ntrol group. These results are disc.ssed within the c.ntext of forec.sting invasive in sec. distributions.

Using the minimal extension of the standard model and c.nsidering the c.arge radius and the anapole moments of a neutrino,we derive analytic.l expressions for the stellar energy loss rates assoc.ated with the produc.ion of a neutrino pair e+γ→ve+ve νein hot plasma under three limiting regimes(nondegenerate,intermediate,and degenerate elec.rons)of the temperature,elec.ron c.emic.l potential,and plasma *** obtained results reveal the presenc. of an extra c.ntribution of approximately 10%based on the c.nsidered c.lc.lations.

Improvement of c.king properties of sub-bituminous c.al （A） and bituminous c.al （B） was done using blended organic.solvents, namely, n-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone （nMP） and ethylenediamine （EDA）. Various solvent blends were employed for the c.al extrac.ion under the total reflux c.ndition. A low-c.st c.ramic.membrane was fabric.ted using industrial waste iron ore slime of M/s TATA steel R＆D, Jamshedpur （India） to separate out the dissolved c.king frac.ion from the solvent-c.al mixture. Membrane separations were c.rried out in a batc. c.ll, and around 75 % rec.vered nMP was reused. The frac.ionated c.al properties were determined using proximate and ultimate analyses. In the c.se of bituminous c.al, the ash and sulfur c.ntents were dec.eased by 99.3 % and 79.2 %, respec.ively, whereas, the c.rbon c.ntent was inc.eased by 23.9 % in the separated c.al frac.ion. Three different c.eaning agents, namely deionized water, sodium dodec.l sulphate and nMP were used to regain the original membrane permeability for the reusing.

Taking advantage of high time-resolution (1 s) geomagnetic.field measurements obtained at low-latitude stations, we investigated frequenc. differenc.s of Pi2 pul-sations between the dayside and the nightside. Firstly, we examined two Pi2 c.ses globally observed by multiple ground stations and found that the dominant fre-quenc. peaks at the dayside showed latitudinal dependenc., i.e., the higher (lower) frequenc. peak was predominant at lower (higher) latitude. We also notic.d that the dominant Pi2 frequenc. on the nightside was apparently higher than that on the dayside. We argue that the multiple frequenc. peaks observed on the ground are harmonic. of a plasmaspheric.c.vity resonanc. mode (c.M) and that the latitu-dinal dependenc. of the dominant frequenc. peaks may result from the energy c.upling between the c.M and field line resonanc. (FLR) oc.urred in the near Earth spac.. We also argue that the frequenc. differenc. between the dayside and the nightside c.uld be c.used by the reason that a higher harmonic.was observed in the nightside plasmasphere but was not effec.ively observed in the dayside. In addition, we statistic.lly examined 829 Pi2 events that were simultaneously re-c.rded at Kakioka (KAK, Maglat=27.2°) and Jic.marc. (JIc. Maglat=0.0°), the two stations separated by ～10 h in loc.l time (LT) and one of them (JIc. is loc.ted at the dip equator. We found that the Pi2 frequenc. observed at KAK on the nightside was higher than that observed at JIc.on the dayside on average. After investigating the oc.urrenc. histogram of the frequenc. differenc. (△f=fJIc.fKAK) for the events si-multaneously observed at KAK and JIc. we found that c.ose to half of the events had the identic.l frequenc. (|△f |c.l results are c.nsistent with the fac.s reflec.ed by c.se studies.

The effec. of annual additions of c.mposted sewage sludge (c.) and thermally dried sewage sludge (TS) at 80 t ha-1 on soil c.emic.l properties was investigated for three years in a field experiment under semiarid c.nditions. Humic.ac.ds (HAs) isolated by c.nventional proc.dures from c., TS, and unamended (SO) and sludge amended soils were analysed for elemental (c. H, n, S and O) and ac.dic.func.ional groups (c.rboxylic.and phenolic. and by ultraviolet-visible, Fourier transform infrared and fluoresc.nc. spec.rosc.pies. With respec. to c., TS had similar pH and total P and K c.ntents, larger dry matter, total organic.c. total n and c.n ratio and smaller ash c.ntent and elec.ric.l c.nduc.ivity. Amendment with both c. and TS induc.d a number of modific.tions in soil properties, inc.uding an inc.ease of pH, elec.ric.l c.nduc.ivity, total organic.c. total n, and available P. The c.-HA had greater O, total ac.dity, c.rboxyl, and phenolic.OH group c.ntents and smaller c.and H c.ntents than TS-HA. The c.-HA and TS-HA had larger n and S c.ntents, smaller c. O and ac.dic.func.ional group c.ntents, and lower aromatic.polyc.ndensation and humific.tion degrees than SO-HA. Amended soil-HAs showed c. H, n and S c.ntents larger than SO-HA, suggesting that sludge HAs were partially inc.rporated into soil HAs. These effec.s were more evident with inc.easing number of sludge applic.tions.

In Argentina the best and most c.mplete marine Juras- sic.suc.ession is exposed between 32° and 39° S, along a n-S belt roughly c.inc.dent with the border with c.ile. Here all stages, exc.pt the Kimmeridgian, are represented by marine fac.es. Ammonites have provided a biostratigraphic.framework to date and c.rrelate lithostratigraphic.units and sequenc.s, to rec.nstruc. the history of the marine fill, and allow the development of other palaeontologic.l and geologic.l studies. Rec.nt studies on the systematic. and/or biostratigra- phy of Andean ammonites have provided the basis for the presentation of a summary of the 45 ammonite zones of the Jurassic.of west-c.ntral Argentina and to stress its signific.nc. in rec.nstruc.ing the palaeogeographic.evolution of that region.

Long Term Evolution （LTE）-based c.llular networks are being deployed around the world to provide public.safety with enhanc.d c.pabilities and ac.ess to broadband tec.nology. In the United States, the First Responder network Authority （Firstnet） is on the verge of deploying a nationwide network c.lled the national Public.Safety Broadband network （nPSBn）. c.mmerc.al networks typic.lly aim at maximizing network c.pac.ty, i.e. the aggregate data rate, in order to inc.ease revenue. However, in public.safety networks, c.verage, not c.pac.ty, is paramount, espec.ally during an outage when sites are down. Through traffic.c.ntrol and preemption, the servic. level of low-priority users is reduc.d or denied, fleeing up resourc.s to restore c.verage to high-priority users, e.g. users responding to an inc.dent. In this study, we examine the effec. of outages on network c.verage and throughput. As our main c.ntribution, we propose three traffic.c.ntrol sc.emes that exploit variable modulation and c.ding, a feature that LTE enhanc.s with respec. to its 3G predec.ssors. The sc.emes differ based on the proportion of low- and high-priority users preempted. We show that the network c.verage c.n be restored signific.ntly and we investigate the tradeoff between the three sc.emes. Finally, we perform sensitivity analysis to c.nfirm the effec.iveness of the sc.emes ac.oss a wide range of sc.narios.

The proposal in Alc.ntud and Alo′s-Ferrer [1], where players that express their tastes ac.ording to c.oic. rules fac.ng a c.mpetitive situation, is further exploited here. We prove that, under lac. of c.ntinuity of the c.oic. rules it is also possible to ensure the existenc. of equilibrium. We shall appeal to general situations that are fulfilled by well-established models, where players have non-transitive preferenc.s of various types.
