A Survey and Experimental Review on Data Distribution Strategies for Parallel Spatial Clustering Algorithms

The advent of Big Data has led to the rapid growth in the usage of parallel clustering algorithms that work over distributed computing frameworks such as MPI,MapReduce,and *** important step for any parallel clustering algorithm is the distribution of data amongst the cluster *** step governs the methodology and performance of the entire *** typically use random,or a spatial/geometric distribution strategy like kd-tree based partitioning and grid-based partitioning,as per the requirements of the ***,these strategies are generic and are not tailor-made for any specific parallel clustering *** this paper,we give a very comprehensive literature survey of MPI-based parallel clustering algorithms with special reference to the specific data distribution strategies they *** also propose three new data distribution strategies namely Parameterized Dimensional Split for parallel density-based clustering algorithms like DBSCAN and OPTICS,Cell-Based Dimensional Split for dGridSLINK,which is a grid-based hierarchical clustering algorithm that exhibits efficiency for disjoint spatial distribution,and Projection-Based Split,which is a generic distribution *** of these preserve spatial locality,achieve disjoint partitioning,and ensure good data load *** experimental analysis shows the benefits of using the proposed data distribution strategies for algorithms they are designed for,based on which we give appropriate recommendations for their usage.

Multimodal medical image fusion has attained immense popularity in recent years due to its robust technology for clinical *** fuses multiple images into a single image to improve the quality of images by retaining significant information and aiding diagnostic practitioners in diagnosing and treating many ***,recent image fusion techniques have encountered several challenges,including fusion artifacts,algorithm complexity,and high computing *** solve these problems,this study presents a novel medical image fusion strategy by combining the benefits of pixel significance with edge-preserving processing to achieve the best fusion ***,the method employs a cross-bilateral filter(CBF)that utilizes one image to determine the kernel and the other for filtering,and vice versa,by considering both geometric closeness and the gray-level similarities of neighboring pixels of the images without smoothing *** outputs of CBF are then subtracted from the original images to obtain detailed *** further proposes to use edge-preserving processing that combines linear lowpass filtering with a non-linear technique that enables the selection of relevant regions in detailed images while maintaining structural *** regions are selected using morphologically processed linear filter residuals to identify the significant regions with high-amplitude edges and adequate *** outputs of low-pass filtering are fused with meaningfully restored regions to reconstruct the original shape of the *** addition,weight computations are performed using these reconstructed images,and these weights are then fused with the original input images to produce a final fusion result by estimating the strength of horizontal and vertical *** standard quality evaluation metrics with complementary properties are used for comparison with existing,well-known algorithms objectively to validate the fusion *** results from th

Background: Inflammatory diseases are among the leading causes of health issues that considerably influence health care costs. Despite the notable advancements in medical treatment that have been made in recent years, natural products with biological activity still play essential roles in a variety of anti-inflammatory conditions. The study and identification of novel treatments for the adverse effects of available synthetic anti-inflammatory agents warrant further ***: This study focused on the emerging therapeutic potential of terpenoid products as anti-inflammatory ***: The literature reveals that secondary metabolites obtained from medicinal plants, viz. terpenes and terpenoids and their nanoformulations, are effective for the treatment of inflammation in humans. Established terpenes are a broad class of secondary metabolites that are rich in monoterpenes, diterpenes, triterpenes, tetraterpenes, ceramides, and sesquiterpenes and have various therapeutic applications, such as antitumor, antibacterial, antimicrobial, analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities. Numerous studies have shown that terpenes can decrease inflammation-associated symptoms by reducing the release of proinflammatory cytokines, including nuclear transcription factor-kappa B, interleukins, tumor necrosis factor-alpha, and other inflammatory ***: This review describes the latest knowledge of the different terpenoid-derived natural and synthetic compounds that have been isolated from plant sources in recent years and their anti-inflammatory potential and therapeutic mechanism of action. Background: Renal calculi, commonly known as kidney stones, is a prevalent urological condition that affects a substantial portion of the population worldwide. The formation of kidney stones is a complex process influenced by various factors, including diet, fluid intake, genetics, and metabolic abnormalities. The pathogenesis of renal calculi involves a complex interplay of multiple factors, including supersaturation of urine with stone-forming constituents, urinary supersaturation, crystallization, and ***: This review aims to provide an overview of the present understanding of renal calculi, their pathophysiology, diagnostic approaches, and available treatment ***: This review discusses the different types of kidney stones, such as calcium oxalate, calcium phosphate, uric acid, and struvite stones, and explores their formation mechanisms and associated risk factors. The management of renal calculi relies on stone characteristics, patient symptoms, stone size, and location. Furthermore, counseling and education regarding lifestyle modifications and risk factor management are essential for long-term ***: Accurate diagnosis and appropriate management based on stone characteristics and patient symptoms are essential for successful outcomes.
