Bandgap tuning using rare earth metals as dopants in ferrite-based photocatalytic materials has received a lot of interest because the Fermi 4f energy of these metals generates a sub-energy state in the bandgap generated by the overlapping of Fe-3d and O-2p orbitals.Herein,dysprosium-doped cobalt-nickel mixed ferrite(D-CNFO)and its graphene-reinforced composite(D-CNFO@G)were prepared and an ideal photocatalyst material for azo dye mineralization was proposed.A cost-effective combination of wetchemical and ultrasonication methods was used to prepare the doped and composite samples.Advanced characterization methodologies were used to scrutinize the optical,compositional,structural,morphological,and photocatalytic characteristics of as-prepared materials.The X-ray diffraction analysis identified the spinel phase's(cubic)structure,while the electronic spectroscopy examination confirmed the prepared samples'rod-like morphology.The UV/visible absorbance spectrum shows the higher light harvesting behavior of the D-CNFO@G in the visible region.The mineralization performance of the DCNFO and D-CNFO@G composites was analyzed using Congo-red(an anionic dye),a well-known azo dye.The D-CNFO@G sample removes Congo-red dye at a rate almost 2.4%faster than the D-CNFO sample.The experiment involving trapping free radicals indicates that hydroxyl radical play s a crucial role in dye degradation.Since the D-CNFO@G catalyst is magnetic and can be isolated easily from the photocatalytic system,it shows an awkward cycle activity of more than 96%after five mineralization tests.The asprepared D-CNFO@G composite is proved as an excellent option for azo dye mineralization because of the combined impacts of rare earth doping,graphene reinforcement and nanotechnology.

Parvovirus B19 and Pregnant Women: A Bibliographic Review

Primary infection with parvovirus B19 is an uncommon but serious and treatable cause of chronic anemia in immuno compromised hosts. Widely distributed, it is responsible for a wide range of clinical manifestations, the characteristics and outcome of which depend on the interaction between the viral properties and the physiological and immune status of the infected individuals. Infection during pregnancy can result in fetal anemia, abortion, and hydrops. Pregnancy does not appear to affect the course of the infection, but the infection may affect the pregnancy. The diagnosis of B19V can be made by serological and molecular investigation of the mother, fetus and newborn. In these conditions, it seemed necessary for us to answer in this article the various questions raised by the occurrence of a contagion and/or an infection with Parvovirus B19 during pregnancy. Our objective was to determine at first the nature and the main characteristics of Parvovirus B19 as well as its propagation during the pregnancy and to show its risk for the pregnant woman and her fetus. The importance of the subject is proven by the data on the spread and incidence of the virus. Worldwide, the focus on pregnancy is due to the additional potentially fatal effects on the fetus. This document covers the important aspects of a medical investigation: causes, symptoms, tests and diagnosis.

Though significant improvements have been made in the treatment methods for ovarian cancer(OC),the prognosis for OC patients is still poor.Exploring hub genes associated with the development of OC and utilizing them as appropriate potential biomarkers or therapeutic targets is highly valuable.In this study,the differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified from an independent GSE69428 Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)dataset between OC and control samples.The DEGs were processed to construct the protein-protein interaction(PPI)network using STRING.Later,hub genes were identified through Cytohubba analysis of the Cytoscape.Expression and survival profiling of the hub genes were validated using GEPIA,OncoDB,and GENT2.For exploring promoter methylation levels and genetic alterations in hub genes,MEXPRESS and cBioPortal were utilized,respectively.Moreover,DAVID,HPA,TIMER,CancerSEA,ENCORI,DrugBank,and GSCAlite were used for gene enrichment analysis,subcellular localization analysis,immune cell infiltration analysis,exploring correlations between hub genes and different diverse states,lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA co-regulatory network analysis,predicting hub gene-associated drugs,and conducting drug sensitivity analysis,respectively.In total,8947 DEGs were found between OC and normal samples in GSE69428.After STRING and Cytohubba analysis,4 hub genes including TTK(TTK Protein Kinase),(BUB1 mitotic checkpoint serine/threonine kinase B)BUB1B,(Nucleolar and spindle-associated protein 1)NUSAP1,and(ZW10 interacting kinetochore protein)ZWINT were selected as the hub genes.Further,it was validated that these 4 hub genes were significantly up-regulated in OC samples compared to normal controls,but overexpression of these genes was not associated with overall survival(OS).However,genetic alterations in those genes were found to be linked with OS and disease-free(DFS)survival.Moreover,this study also revealed some novel links between TTK,BUB1B,NUSAP1,and ZWINT overexpression and promoter methylation status,immune cell infiltration,miRNAs,g

Mass dependence of pion-induced fission cross sections on the level density parameter

Fission probabilities and fission cross sections strongly depend on the mass number of the target and energy of the projectile. In this research work, a cascade-exciton model （using CEM95 computer code） has been implemented to observe the dependence of pion-induced fission cross sections and fission probabilities on the target mass and ratio of the level density parameter in fission to neutron emission. The analysis has been performed for both the positive and negative pions as the projectile at 80, 100 and 150 MeV energies. The computed cross sections satisfactorily reproduced the experimental findings when compared with the available experimental data in the literature. We observed a smooth dependence at 150 MeV, and a sharper dependence at 80 and 100 MeV pion energy, in the fissility region above 29.44.

Cascade-exciton model analysis of mass dependence of pion-induced fission

The cascade-exciton model has been used to observe the dependence of pion induced fission cross sections on the mass of the target. The analysis has been performed at energies 80 MeV, 100 MeV and 150 MeV for both the positive and negative pions. It has been shown that a single value of the ratio af/an can satisfactorily reproduce the experimental findings when compared with the available experimental data in the literature. The general trend of the fission cross sections with mass （fissility parameter） is seen to be low and slowly changing for the lighter nuclei, and it will steeply rise for the heavy nuclei.

Fission cross sections strongly depend on the ratio of the level density parameter in fission to neutron emission, af/an . In this work, a cascade-exciton model implemented in the code CEM95 has been used to observe this effect for proton induced fission cross sections of tungsten, lead and bismuth. The method was employed using different level density parameter ratios for each fission cross section calculation. The calculated fission cross sections are compared with the available experimental data in the literature. It has been observed that a change of the ratio of the level density parameter, af/an , is necessary with the incident energy of the proton, to best estimate the fission cross sections in CEM95.

Development of Functional Synbiotic Flavored Fermented Skim Milk Drinks Supplemented with Doum (Hyphaene thebaica L.) and Carob (Ceratonia siliqua) Fruits Powder for Nutritional, Antimicrobial and High Antioxidant Activities

The present study was carried out to make new healthy synbiotic flavored fermented skim milk drinks (SFFSD) supplemented with either Doum (Hyphaene thebaica L.) or Carob (Ceratonia siliqua) fruits powder for nutritional, antioxidant and antimicrobial activities. The HPLC analysis showed higher phenolic and flavonoid content in Doum extract than that of Carob. The antimicrobial activity of the methanolic extracts of both Doum and Carob against foodborne pathogens showed that the most sensitive indicators were Bacillus cereus, C. albicans and S. aureus, followed by T. mentagrophyte and E. coli wherein, the diameter of clear zones was, 29, 27, 24, 23 and 13 mm, respectively. While no effect was noticed against Aspergillus flavus. On the other hand, the methanolic extract of Carob fruit exhibited only a weak antibacterial effect against B. cereus (20 mm). Six treatments of SFFSD were made using both Doum or Carob fruit powder as prebiotic and Lactobacillus paracasei as probiotic bacteria. The added levels from Doum were 2%, 4% and 6%, while that added from Carob were 5%, 10% and 15%. Adding Doum and Carob powder increased the containing of minerals;Ca, K, Mg and iron compared with control. Both viscosity and viability of L. paracasei for the SFFSD were increased with increasing the added levels from either Doum or Carob, compared with the control. Samples of SFFSD containing Carob powder, show superior sensory for all parameters and total score points during storage period, especially at a level of 10%. It seems evident that samples supplemented with Doum powder were also acceptable.

Software reverse engineering is the process of analyzing a software system to extract the design and implementation details.Reverse engineering provides the source code of an application,the insight view of the architecture and the third-party dependencies.From a security perspective,it is mostly used for finding vulnerabilities and attacking or cracking an application.The process is carried out either by obtaining the code in plaintext or reading it through the binaries or mnemonics.Nowadays,reverse engineering is widely used for mobile applications and is considered a security risk.The Open Web Application Security Project(OWASP),a leading security research forum,has included reverse engineering in its top 10 list of mobile application vulnerabilities.Mobile applications are used in many sectors,e.g.,banking,education,health.In particular,the banking applications are critical in terms of security as they are used for financial transactions.A security breach of such applications can result in huge financial losses for the customers as well as the banks.There exist various tools for reverse engineering of mobile applications,however,they have deficiencies,e.g.,complex configurations,lack of detailed analysis reports.In this research work,we perform an analysis of the available tools for reverse engineering of mobile applications.Our dataset consists of the mobile banking applications of the banks providing services in Pakistan.Our results indicate that none of the existing tools can carry out the complete reverse engineering process as a standalone tool.In addition,we observe significant differences in terms of the execution time and the number of files generated by each tool for the same file.

Synergistic renoprotective effect of a compiled branched-chain amino acids and Cymbopogon schoenanthus extract against experimentally induced oxido-nitrosative renal insult

Objective: To better investigate the protective role of branched-chain amino acids(BCAAs)and Cymbopogon schoenanthus(CS) extract against the potassium dichromate(PDC)-induced oxido-nitrosative nephrotoxic insult in the experimental rat model. Methods: Thirty male rats were randomly divided into five equal groups: The 1 st group served as control; the 2^(nd)was injected with a single dose of PDC(15 mg/kg b.w i.p.);the 3^(rd), 4^(th), and 5^(th) groups were respectively treated with BCAAs, CS, and their combination for 15 d prior to induction of renal insult via PDC single dose(15 mg/kg b.w s.c.). The experimental period was terminated in all groups 2 d after induction of renal insult. The harvested kdney samples were divided for biochemical assays and histological examination. Results: The PDC-induced nephrotoxic effect caused a depletion of renal oxidative scavengers glutathione, superoxide dismutase with consequent lipo-oxidative cellular membrane deterioration manifested by a rise in malonaldehyde, oxidized glutathione, myeloperoxidase and the concomitant increase in inflammatory response elements tumor necrosis factor α, nitric oxide, and interleukin 1 β.Moreover, the comet assay and increased 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine proved an accelerated apoptotic DNA fragmentation. These local renal changes were met with global altered blood biochemistry. The BCAAs and CS or their compiled administration showed an ameliorative effect against PDC-induced nephrotoxic in a synergistic pattern. Conclusions: Both BCAAs and CS or their combined administration afford potential competitors against renal insult induced by polyvalent anion pollutants in experimentally studied animals model. As a route for novel drug discovery, further investigation should be attempted to optimize their augmenting reno-protecting potential.

近年来,随着城市地区人口的增加,有毒化学物质的爆炸和扩散引起的危公共安全事件频频发生。类似的有毒气体扩散事件可能会导致严重的环境问题,并危及人类的安全和健康。对该类事件进行后果危害建模和受灾人群评估对于预测和最小化损失至关重要。氯气作为一种常见的有毒气体,常在水处理厂中用作消毒剂,人体接触后可能对健康造成严重危害。本文以拉合尔的氯气储存工厂为案例,利用重气弥散模型对氯气存储工厂的氯气释放进行了模拟。模拟结果表明,在夏季氯气意外释放的情况下,氯云大约覆盖了释放源顺风方向3公里的范围;在任意季节与天气条件下,在距释放源0.58公里的范围内的致死率均为100%;在任意风向下,在释放源3公里范围内的地区都存在较大风险;在西南风的情况下,风险区域的人群高度密集,应考虑风险区域内的风险预防措施。此研究对受影响人口、重要地点和受灾区域进行了计算,确定了风险区域以及需要立即帮助和撤离的人口,同时使用地理信息系统的路线网络指南生成了疏散路线图,可以作为决策者在有毒气体意外释放时制定应急计划的有效工具。
