AIM:To investigate the in vitro antioxidant activity and total phenolic content of the methanolic leaf extract of Nyctanthes arbor-tristis L.(NA).METHODS:The sample was tested using five in vitro antioxidant methods(1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazine radical scavenging activity(DPPH),hydroxyl radical-scavenging activity(-OH),nitric oxide scavenging activity(NO),superoxide radical-scavenging activity,and total antioxidant activity)to evaluate the in vitro antioxidant potential of NA and the total phenolic content(Folin-Ciocalteu method).The extract showed good free radical scavenging property which was calculated as an ***:IC50(Half maximal inhibitory concentration)of the methanolic extract was found to be 57.93μg·mL for DPPH,98.61μg·mL for-OH,91.74μg·mL for NO,and 196.07μg·mL for superoxide radical scavenging *** antioxidant capacity of the extract was found to be(1198±24.05)mg ascorbic acid for the methanolic *** radical scavenging activity observed in the extracts of NA showed a concentration-dependent *** in vitro scavenging tested for free radicals was reported to be due to high phenolic content in the leaf *** leaf extract of NA showed the highest total phenolic content with a value of78.48±4.2 equivalent mg TAE/g(tannic acid equivalent).CONCLUSIONS:***-tristis leaf extract exhibited potent free radical scavenging *** finding suggests that ***-tristis leaves could be a potential source of natural antioxidant.

The rapid development of biomedical imaging modalities led to its wide application in disease ***-based diagnostic procedures are proficient and non-invasive in nature to carry out secondary diagnostic processes ***,physicians examine the characteristics of tongue prior to *** this scenario,to get rid of qualitative aspects,tongue images can be quantitatively inspected for which a new disease diagnosis model is *** model can reduce the physical harm made to the *** tongue image analytical methodologies have been proposed ***,there is a need exists to design an intelligent Deep Learning(DL)based disease diagnosis *** this motivation,the current research article designs an Intelligent DL-basedDisease Diagnosis method using Biomedical Tongue Images called IDLDD-BTI *** proposed IDLDD-BTI model incorporates Fuzzy-based Adaptive Median Filtering(FADM)technique for noise removal ***,SqueezeNet model is employed as a feature extractor in which the hyperparameters of SqueezeNet are tuned using Oppositional Glowworm Swarm Optimization(OGSO)*** last,Weighted Extreme Learning Machine(WELM)classifier is applied to allocate proper class labels for input tongue color *** design of OGSO algorithm for SqueezeNet model shows the novelty of the *** assess the enhanced diagnostic performance of the presented IDLDD-BTI technique,a series of simulations was conducted on benchmark dataset and the results were examined in terms of several *** resultant experimental values highlighted the supremacy of IDLDD-BTI model over other state-of-the-art methods.

Scaling up private investment in low-carbon energy systems through regional cooperation: Effective trade policy measures

How to ensure energy supply and reduce environment pollution have turned into governments’ top priorities and key factors to maintain sustainable development. In this context, two major trade and investment agreements that could lead to profound influence on low-carbon energy systems development around the Asia-Pacific region are the Regional comprehensive economic partnership (RCEP) consisted of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) plus Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, and Republic of Korea and the Belt and road initiative (BRI) initiated by China. In order to have a smooth transition to low-carbon energy systems in Asia, besides RCEP and BRI, it is imperative to boost private sector investment. Success of encouraging private sector investment depends on appropriate government policies towards promoting innovations and reducing financial risks to private investors. The research questions that are examined in this study are: What type of policy measures affects trade in low-carbon transition, particularly renewable energy (RE) transition? How can investment signals and incentives be reframed to scale up private finance in RE? The objective is to investigate and to provide several feasible trade policy and investment policy tools for both national and regional markets that governments could adopt to accelerate the speed of private financing of the low-carbon energy industry, particularly the RE industry.
