The preparation of hitherto unknown steroidal heterocycles containing pyrazole fused to 6,7-position of the steroidal nucleus is described. These heterocycles were prepared by the action of Vilsmeier reagent with steroidal semicarbazones in DMF. The structure of the compounds has been established on the basis of their elemental analysis and spectral data. A general mechanistic scheme for these reactions is also suggested based on current and previous results.

A subgroup H of a finite group G is said to be s-semipermutable in G if it is permutable with every Sylow p-subgroup of G with （p, ｜H｜） = 1. We say that a subgroup H of a finite group G is S-semiembedded in G if there exists an s-permutable subgroup T of G such that TH is s-permutable in G and T ∩ H ≤ H-sG, where HsG is an s-semipermutable subgroup of G contained in H. In this paper, we investigate the influence of S-semiembedded subgroups on the structure of finite groups.

A convenient, rapid and efficient method for the synthesis of substituted steroidal [6,7-d] thiazoles using microwave-induced organic reaction enhancement chemistry has been developed. The additional features of this methodology include a much faster reaction, easy workup, high yield, high purity of the products and an environment friendly approach.

In this research,green synthesized magnesium oxide nanoparticles(MgO NPs)from lemon fruit extracts and their fungicidal potential was evaluated against Alternaria dauci infection on carrot(Daucus carota L.)under greenhouse *** scanning and transmission electron microscopy(SEM and TEM)and ultra-violet(UV)visible spectroscopy were used to validate and characterize MgO *** crystalline nature of MgONPs was determined using selected area electron diffraction(SAED).MgO NPs triggered substantial antifungal activity against *** when exposed to 50 and 100 mg L^(–1)concentrations but the higher antifungal potential was noticed in 100 mg L^(–1)under invitro *** fungal inoculated plants,a marked decrease in growth,photosynthetic pigments,and an increase in phenol,proline contents,and defense-related enzymes of carrot were seen over control(distilled water).However,foliar application of MgO NPs at 50 and 100 mg L^(–1)resulted in significant improvement of plant growth,photosynthetic pigments,phenol and proline contents,and defense enzymes activity of carrots with and without *** *** of MgO NPs at 100 mg L^(–1)had more plant length(17.11%),shoot dry weight(34.38%),plant fresh weight(20.46%),and root dry weight(49.09%)in carrots when challenged with *** over inoculated *** leaf blight indices and percent disease severity were also reduced in *** inoculated plants when sprayed with MgO *** non-bonding interactions of Alternaria genus protein with nanoparticles were studied using molecular docking.

Freshwater fungi are important natural resources in agriculture,medicine,and the ***,human and industrial activities due to deforestation,irrigation,urbanization increase the amount of debris from different substrates,and their decomposition in the water,especially water bodies,affect the diversity of the freshwater fungi and the water *** are found in freshwaters at certain period or throughout their *** fungi are categorized into leaf-inhabiting（ngoldian）,wood decomposing（lignicolous）and the lower *** is no report on the freshwater fungal diversity from river Laoyu,*** study evaluated the diversity and morphological features of freshwater fungi in River Laoyu in *** objectives of this study were;to evaluate the diversity and biology of freshwater fungi,and the potential application of freshwater fungi for environmental monitoring of River Laoyu,China;believed to have unique *** of water and woody substrate were collected from the river in a plastic vials and zipper plastic bag,*** fungi were classified based on traditional and morphological features,species key to monograph was used for reference.A total of 254 fresh specimens,from which 68 species were encountered and 26 pure cultures and 10 species from different clade were identified based on morphological *** on morphological data,two new ascomycetous and hyphomycetous like taxa were *** morphological descriptions and notes were provided for *** study provides a basis for further research on freshwater fungi diversity and the potential utilization of fungal resources for sustainable ecological and industrial development.

Effect of pollution on DNA damage and essential fatty acid profile in Cirrhinus mrigala from River Chenab

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of anthropogenic pollution on DNA damage and the fatty acid profile of the bottom dweller fish （Cirrhinus mr^gala）, collected from the River Chenab, in order to assess the effect of the toxicants on the quality of the fish meat. The levels ofCd, Hg, Cu, Mn, Zn, Pb, Cr and Sn and of phenols from this river were significantly higher than the permissible limits set by the USEPA. Comet assays showed DNA damage in Cirrhinus mr^gala collected from three different sampling sites in the polluted area of the river. Significant differences were observed for DNA damage through comet assay in fish collected from polluted compared to control sites. No significant differences were observed for DNA damage between farmed and fish collected from upstream. The micronucleus assay showed similar trends. Fish from the highly polluted sites showed less number of fatty acids and more saturated fatty acids in their meat compared to fish from less polluted areas. Several fatty acids were missing in fish with higher levels of DNA in comet tail and micronucleus induction. Long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid （20：5n-3） was found missing in the fish from polluted environment while it was found in considerable amount in farmed fish 7.8±0.4%. Docosahexaenoic acid （22：6n-3） also showed significant differences as 0.1±0.0 and 7.0±0.1% respectively, in wild polluted and fanned fishes.

Nowadays,one of the most important difficulties is the protection and privacy of confidential *** address these problems,numerous organizations rely on the use of cryptographic techniques to secure data from illegal activities and *** cryptographic ciphers use the non-linear component of block cipher to ensure the robust encryption process and lawful decoding of plain data during the decryption *** the designing of a secure substitution box(S-box),non-linearity(NL)which is an algebraic property of the S-box has great ***,the main focus of cryptographers is to achieve the S-box with a high value of *** this suggested study,an algebraic approach for the construction of 16×16 S-boxes is provided which is based on the fractional transformation Q(z)=1/α(z)^(m)+β(mod257)and finite *** technique is only applicable for the even number exponent in the range(2-254)that are not multiples of ***,we choose a quadratic fractional transformation,swap each missing element with repeating elements,and acquire the initial *** the second stage,a special permutation of the symmetric group S256 is utilized to construct the final S-box,which has a higher NL score of 112.75 than the Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)S-box and a lower linear probability score of *** addition,a tabular and graphical comparison of various algebraic features of the created S-box with many other S-boxes from the literature is provided which verifies that the created S-box has the ability and is good enough to withstand linear and differential *** different analyses,it is ensured that the proposed S-boxes are better than as compared to the existing *** these S-boxes can be utilized in the security of the image data and the text data.

Analysis of fish meat using gas chromatography is *** is the sensation arising from the interplay of the signals of sensing smell, taste and irritating stimuli from food *** human, flavor and nutrition are *** fish, trace amount of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are the major compounds to affect consumer’s preference, which are produced during storage and *** the present study, volatile compounds were extracted by Likens-Nickerson concurrent distillation apparatus from wild and farmed Cirrhina mrigala and Cyprinus carpio. The quantitative and qualitative estimation of volatiles was made by gas *** and farmed fish of different fish sizes were compared for these compounds (appearing in the form of peaks), which were identified from their retention time by comparing with the *** major VOCs were found in these species which included hexadecane, 3-octanol, hexanal, decane, 3-hexene-1-ol, 2-undecanone, 2-heptanone, butanal, 2-nonanone, 1-heptanal, furaldehyde, 3-methyl-1-butanal, trans-3-hexene-1-ol, octanal and *** compounds varied qualitatively and quantitatively in both wild and farmed fish of different fish sizes.
