The remarkable uplift of the Tibetan Plateau in the Neogene had great impacts on the climate and environment of East Asia and even the ***,establishment of the Neogene stratigraphic framework of the Tibetan Plateau is of great significance to research in various fields of *** on marine sediments,the international chronostratigraphic system of the Neogene is divided into six stages in the Miocene and two stages in the *** the beginning of the Cenozoic,the share of terrestrial strata on continents has increased *** the Neogene,it had far exceeded that of marine strata,and almost all deposits on the Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas were terrestrial *** China,the Miocene includes five stages and the Pliocene includes two *** for the Tunggurian of the Miocene,which has a lower boundary at 15 Ma,the other stages have the same paleomagnetic definitions and time intervals as the corresponding international marine *** fossils play a very important role in the division and correlation of Cenozoic terrestrial strata,and rodent,carnivore,proboscidean,perissodactyl and artiodactyl fossils are especially important in Neogene terrestrial *** are many basins with well-exposed strata and abundant mammalian fossils in the Tibetan *** lower boundary stratotype sections of the Neogene Xiejian and Bahean stages are located respectively in the Xining and Linxia basins,and there are precise paleomagnetic dates in coordination with mammalian *** lower boundary stratotypes of other stages can also be effectively determined in the Tibetan *** first appearing mammalian genera in East Asia also appeared in the Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas,especially in the Linxia Basin on the northeast margin and in the Siwaliks on the southwest *** them,Prodeinotherium first appeared at the bottom of the Miocene in the Siwaliks,and the earliest Hipparion of the Old

Investigating the mechanisms of isochorismate synthase:An approach to improve salicylic acid synthesis and increase resistance to Fusarium head blight in wheat

Salicylic acid(SA),a vital endogenous hormone,plays a crucial role in plant growth and the response to abiotic and biotic *** synthase(ICS)and phenylalanine ammonia lyase(PAL)are critical rate-limiting enzymes for SA *** head blight(FHB)seriously threatens the safety of wheat production,but increasing the content of SA can enhance FHB ***,the pathway of SA synthesis and regulation in wheat remains *** this study,three wheat ICS(TaICSA,TaICSB,and TaICSD)were identified,and their functions were validated in vitro for isomerizing chorismate to *** mutation of one or two homoeoalleles of TaICSA,TaICSB,and TaICSD in the wheat variety‘Cadenza’reduced SA levels under ultraviolet treatment and Fusarium graminearum infection,further enhancing sensitivity to *** of TaICSA can significantly enhance SA levels and resistance to *** further study SA synthesis pathways in wheat and avoid interference with pathogenicity related genes,the leaves of wild-type Cadenza and different TaICS mutant lines were subjected to ultraviolet treatment for transcriptomic *** results showed that 37 PALs might be involved in endogenous SA synthesis,and 82 WRKY and MYB family transcription factors may regulate the expression of ICS and *** results were further confirmed by *** conclusion,this study expands our knowledge of SA biosynthesis and identifies TaICSA,as well as several additional candidate genes that encode transcription factors for regulating endogenous SA levels,as part of an efficient strategy for enhancing FHB resistance in wheat.

Concurrent extreme weather events in geographically distant areas potentially cause high-end risks for *** using network analysis,the present study managed to identify significant nearly-simultaneous occurrences of heatwaves between the grid cells in East Asia and Eastern Europe,even though they are geographically far away from each *** further composite analysis,this study revealed that hot events first occurred in Eastern Europe,typically with a time lag of3-4 days before the East Asian heatwave *** eastward propagating atmospheric wave train,known as the circumglobal teleconnection(CGT)pattern,bridged the sequent occurrences of extreme events in these two remote *** blockings,amplified by surface warming over Eastern Europe,not only enhanced local heat extremes but also excited a CGT-like pattern characterized by alternative anomalies of high and low *** downstream anticyclones in the middle and upper troposphere reduced local cloud cover and increased downward solar radiation,thereby facilitating the formation of heatwaves over East *** half of East Asian heatwave events were preceded by Eastern European heatwave events in the 10-day time range before East Asian heatwave *** investigation of heatwave teleconnection in the two distant regions exhibits strong potential to improve the prediction accuracy of East Asian heatwaves.

IL-17 A is a promoter of colorectal cancer initiation and *** is a polyhydroxy alkaloid compound isolated from Narcissus plants,which has potent anti-inflammatory and antitumor *** effects of narciclasine on colorectal tumors were evaluated,with a focus on IL-17 *** reduced the growth of HCT-116 and SW-480 colon cancer cells in vitro and in vivo in murine *** results of flow cytometry on JC-1 and Annexin V/PI revealed that narciclasine significantly reduced the mitochondrial membrane potential and induced apoptosis,findings confirmed by western blotting results of reduced Bcl2 and enhanced Bax expression,as well as accumulation of cleaved Caspase-3,Caspase-8,Caspase-9,and cytoplasmic *** narciclasine incubation,IL-17 A,Act1,and TRAF6 were down-regulated,while p-P65(Ser536)accumulated in the cytoplasm,a finding confirmed by laser scanning confocal ***17A substitution could partly reverse these narciclasine effects while they were elevated by IL17A ***,IL-17 A,Act1,and TRAF6 were significantly expressed to greater extents in human colorectal cancer compared to normal adjacent tissue specimens and were closely linked with a poor *** study provided evidence that narciclasine may be a useful therapeutic drug for colorectal cancer treatment through its actions in down-regulating the L-17A/Act1/TRAF6/NF-kB anti-apoptotic signaling pathway.

Silicon(Si)has mild discharge potential and high theoretical capacity,making it a highly desirable material for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).Nevertheless,the excessive volume expansion,poor ion/electron conductiv ity and unstable solid electrolyte interface(SEI)hinde practical application to ***,the metallic antimony(Sb)stabilized porous Si(SiDSb)composite was prepared by magnesiothermic reduction of Sb_(2)O_(3)and Mg_(2)Si and chemical etching to remove the by-product of *** highly conductive Sb nanodots embedded in the Si liga ments promote not only the formation of conductive and stable LiF-rich SEI,but also the electron/ion transpor ability of *** to the outstanding bulk/interface stability,excellent conductivity,as well as ideal porous structure,the SiDSb electrode demonstrates a capacity of820 mAh·g^(-1)after undergoing 320 turns at 1000 mA·g^(-1).Additionally,it exhibits a stable capacity of 675 m Ah·g^(-1)when tested at a higher current density of 5000 m A·g^(-1).The results reveal a viable solution to solve three problems at the same time,namely the poor conductivity,inferior SEI and excessive volume expansion of Si,boding well for the design of Si-based materials for high-energy LIBs.

竞争行动及其互动是动态竞争理论的重要研究分支之一.本研究以中国上市房地产企业为研究对象,将企业间竞争互动置于更符合竞争实际的多市场接触情境中,同时将行动范畴拓展到非市场领域,探讨多市场接触对企业寻租行动的影响.研究结果如下:第一,多市场接触与企业寻租之间存在倒U型关系,当多市场接触程度高过一个临界值时,相互克制效应在非市场领域产生;第二,企业寻租行为与企业绩效之间负相关,企业的寻租行为并不一定会带来企业绩效的提升;第三,企业寻租是多市场接触影响企业绩效的中介机制,当面临多市场竞争压力时,企业希望通过在非市场领域展开寻租行为提升企业绩效;第四,制度环境会削弱多市场接触对企业寻租的作用效用.上述结论表明,当企业面临多市场接触时采取的竞争策略往往是“明修栈道,暗渡陈仓”,企业间的竞争虽然在市场领域中存在相互克制效应,但背地里却企图通过非市场竞争行动发起进攻,最终导致竞争溢出到非市场领域.本文研究结论有效拓展了现阶段关于多市场竞争的理论研究,对多市场企业更好地把握企业间的竞争互动也具有一定的参考价值.

Polarization-dependent photoinduced metal–insulator transitions in manganites

In correlated oxides,collaborative manipulation on light intensity,wavelength,pulse duration and polarization has yielded many exotic discoveries,such as phase transitions and novel quantum *** view of potential optoelectronic applications,tailoring long-lived static properties by light-induced effects is highly *** far,the polarization state of light has rarely been reported as a control parameter for this ***,we report polarization-dependent metal-to-insulator transition(MIT)in phaseseparated manganite thin films,introducing a new degree of freedom to control static ***,we observed giant photoinduced resistance jumps with striking features:(1)a single resistance jump occurs upon a linearly polarized light incident with a chosen polarization angle,and a second resistance jump occurs when the polarization angle changes;(2)the amplitude of the second resistance jump depends sensitively on the actual change of the polarization *** transmittance measurements reveal that the origin of the above phenomena is closely related to the coexistence of anisotropic *** results represent a first step to utilize light polarization as an active knob to manipulate static phase transitions,pointing towards new pathways for nonvolatile optoelectronic devices and sensors.

Implanted neural probes can detect weak discharges of neurons in the brain by piercing soft brain tissue,thus as important tools for brain science research,as well as diagnosis and treatment of brain ***,the rigid neural probes,such as Utah arrays,Michigan probes,and metal microfilament electrodes,are mechanically unmatched with brain tissue and are prone to rejection and glial scarring after implantation,which leads to a significant degradation in the signal quality with the implantation *** recent years,flexible neural electrodes are rapidly developed with less damage to biological tissues,excellent biocompatibility,and mechanical compliance to alleviate *** them,the mechanical modeling is important for the optimization of the structure and the implantation *** this review,the theoretical calculation of the flexible neural probes is firstly summarized with the processes of buckling,insertion,and relative interaction with soft brain tissue for flexible probes from outside to ***,the corresponding mechanical simulation methods are organized considering multiple impact factors to realize minimally invasive ***,the technical difficulties and future trends of mechanical modeling are discussed for the next-generation flexible neural probes,which is critical to realize low-invasiveness and long-term coexistence in vivo.
