Glacial-interglacial cycles recorded in clay minerals from the eastern Tibetan Plateau over the last 800 ka and their indications

Clay mineral proxies have been widely used to reconstruct changes in provenance and the ***,high-altitude clay mineral indications and long-term and orbital variations have not been fully ***,we present an800-ka clay-mineral record from a lacustrine sediment core(ZB13-C2)from the Zoige Basin on the eastern Tibetan Plateau(TP).X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy were used to identify the clay mineral assemblages and their micromorphological characteristics of core *** results revealed that the clay minerals in core ZB13-C2 are mainly illite,with small amounts of chlorite,kaolinite,and smectite(including irregular mixed-layers of illite-smectite(I/S)and chloritesmectite(C/S)).The clay mineral assemblages and proxies exhibit three stages of change,which are mainly controlled by the Zoige watershed range under different climate *** watershed was limited to the southeastern region with altitudes ranging from~3500 to~4200 meters above sea level(m a.s.l.),and glacial-interglacial hydraulic erosion controlled the input of bedrock debris during 800-621 ka *** expanded to higher altitudes(~4200 to~4700 m a.s.l.)due to stronger seasonal freezethaw weathering without significant glacial-interglacial variations under a cooling and drying climate during 621-100 ka ***,it expanded to its highest altitudes of~4700 to~5200 m *** of the watershed after 100 ka BP,and hydraulic erosion increased obviously under a warm climate of the interstadial MIS 3 on the *** watershed underwent two major expansions under different climatic conditions at~621 ka and 100 ka BP,with the wet/dry alternation became strong at~621 ka *** results reveal that long-term temperature changes and the wet/dry alternation at high altitudes controlled the watershed range and degree of the physical erosion,and that the indications of clay minerals should be carefully clarified before they are used as climate indicators,especi

Calcium-fortified fresh milk ameliorates postmenopausal osteoporosis via regulation of bone metabolism and gut microbiota in ovariectomized rats

The aging of the global population has made postmenopausal osteoporosis prevention essential;however,pharmacological treatments are ***,we evaluate the effect of calcium-fortified fresh milk(FM)in ameliorating postmenopausal osteoporosis in a rat model established using bilateral *** 3 months of FM(containing vitamin D,and casein phosphopeptides,1000 mg Ca/100 g)or control milk(110 mg Ca/100 g milk)supplementation,bone changes were assessed using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry,microcomputed tomography,and bone biomechanical *** results revealed that FM can regulate bone metabolism and gut microbiota composition,which act on bone metabolism through pathways associated with steroid hormone biosynthesis,relaxin signaling,serotonergic synapse,and unsaturated fatty acid ***,FM administration significantly increased bone mineral content and density in the lumbar spine and femur,as well as femoral compressive strength,while improving femoral trabecular bone parameters and ***,we found that the effects may be due to increased levels of estrogen,bone formation marker osteocalcin,and procollagen typeⅠN-propeptide,and decreased expression of the bone resorption marker C-telopiptide and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase ***,the findings suggest that FM is a potential alternative therapeutic option for ameliorating postmenopausal osteoporosis.

BACKGROUND This study employs a descriptive phenomenological approach to investigate the challenges anesthesia nurses face in managing emergence delirium(ed),a common and complex postoperative complication in the post-anesthesia care *** role of nurses in managing ed is critical,yet research on their understanding and management strategies for ed is *** To investigate anesthetic nurses’cognition and management experiences of ed in hopes of developing a standardized management *** This study employed a descriptive phenomenological approach from qualitative research *** sampling was utilized to select 12 anesthetic nurses from a tertiary hospital in Shanghai as research ***-structured interviews were conducted,and the data were organized and analyzed using Colaizzi’s seven-step analysis method,from which the final themes were *** After analyzing the interview content,four main themes and eight subthemes were distilled:Inefficient cognition hinders the identification of ed(conceptual ambiguity,empirical identification),managing diversity and challenges(patientcentered safe care,low level of medical-nursing collaboration),work responsibilities and pressure coexist(heavy work responsibilities,occupational risks and stress),demand for high-quality management(expecting the construction of predictive assessment tools and prevention strategies,and pursuing standardized management processes to enhance management effectiveness).CONCLUSION Nursing managers should prioritize the needs and suggestions of nurses in order to enhance their nursing capabilities and provide guidance for standardized management processes.

Preparation and magnetic hardening of low Ti content(Sm,Zr)(Fe,Co,Ti)_(12)magnets by rapid solidification non-equilibrium method

The Sm–Zr–Fe–Co–Ti quinary-alloys with ThMn12 structure has attracted wide attention for ultra-high intrinsic magnetic properties,showing potentiality to be developed into rare-earth permanent *** Ti element in alloys is crucial for phase stability and magnetic properties,and lower Ti content can increase intrinsic magnetic properties but reduce phase *** this study,the 1:12 single-phase melt-spun ribbons with low Ti content was successfully prepared using a rapid solidification non-equilibrium method for the Sm1.1Zr_(0.2)Fe_(9.2)Co_(2.3)Ti_(0.5) ***,this non-equilibrium ribbon did not achieve good magnetic hardening due to the uneven microstructure and ***,annealing was carried out to eliminate micro-strain and homogenize microstructure,therefore,remanence and coercivity were significantly improved even the precipitation of a small amount of a-Fe phase which were not conducive to *** remanence of 86.1 emu/g and coercivity of 151 ka/m was achieved when annealing at 850℃ for 45 *** hot pressing,under the action of high temperature and pressure,a small portion of ThMn12 phases in the magnet decompose into Sm-rich phases and a-Fe,while remanence of 4.02 kGs(1 Gs=10^(-4) T),and coercivity of 1.12 kOe(1 Oe=79.5775 A·m^(-1))were still *** findings can provide reference for exploring practical permanent magnets made of 1:12 type quinary-alloys.

Extensive carbon cycle between peatland and vegetation: Insights from high net primary productivity of the Middle Jurassic in northwestern China

Peatlands have obvious carbon storage capacity and are crucial in mitigating global climate *** the end-product of peatlands,coals have preserved a large amount of palaeoenvironmental *** carbon accumulation rate and the net primary productivity （NPP） of coal-forming peatlands can be used as proxies for recovering palaeoenvironments.A super-thick coal seam （42°35'N,91°25'E） was developed in the Middle Jurassic Xishanyao Formation in the Shaerhu coalfield in the southern margin of the Tuha （Turpan-Hami） Basin,northwestern *** this study,we use the time series analysis to identify the periods of Milankovitch orbital cycles in the Gamma-ray curve of this super-thick （124.85 m） coal and then use the obtained cycle periods of 405 ka,173 ka,44 ka,37.6 ka,22.5 ka to calculate the timeframe of the coalforming peatlands which ranges from 2703.44 to 2975.11 *** that the carbon content of the coal seam is 78.32%and the carbon loss during the coalification is about 25.80%,the carbon accumulation rate of the targeted coal seam is estimated to be 58.47-64.34 g C/m2·a,and the NPP is estimated to be252.28-277.63 g C/m2·*** main palaeoenvironmental factors controlling the NPP of peatlands are CO2content,palaeolatitude and *** reduced NPP values of the palaeo-peatlands in the Shaerhu coalfield can be attributed to the mid-palaeolatitude and/or too low atmospheric *** a certain extent,the NPP of palaeo-peatlands reflects the changes in atmospheric CO2,which can further reveal the dynamic response of the global carbon cycle to climate ***,predicting the level of NPP in the Middle Jurassic and studying the final destination of carbon in the ecosystem are beneficial to understanding the coal-forming process and palaeoenvironment.

Topological phase transition in compressed van der Waals superlattice heterostructure BiTeCl/HfTe_(2)

针对散货船传统水尺计重中存在准确度低、工作强度大、安全性无法保障等问题,根据激光雷达避障、卡尔曼滤波器、图像传输等技术和原理,结合港口实际情况,研制水尺计重所用无人船,选择某国际散货船进行10船次无人船和传统人工目测水尺对比试验,试验结果表明,该无人船设计符合水尺计重精度要求,可大幅提升工作效率。

A novel red-emitting phosphor tantalate Ca_(2)YTaO_(6):Eu^(3+)was synthesized by a solid-state *** purity and surface morphology of the phosphors were *** Ca_(2)YTaO_(6):Eu^(3+)phosphors show a sharp emission peak at 612 nm under near-ultraviolet(n-UV) at 395 nm because of the ^(5)D0→^(7)F_(2) transition of Eu^(3+).The optimal Eu^(3+)doping concentration in Ca_(2)YTaO_(6) is 40 mol% and the critical energy-transfer distance of Eu^(3+)ions was calculated to be 0.9 *** emission spectra of Ca_(2)YTaO_(6):Eu_(3+)from 300 to 480 K were *** thermal-quenching temperature(T_(0.5)) of Ca_(2)YTaO_(6):Eu^(3+)is above 480 *** color purity of Ca_(2)YTaO_(6):40 mol%Eu^(3+)is as high as 99.8%.The luminescence lifetime of Ca_(2)YTaO_(6):40 mol%Eu^(3+)was also *** high color purity and high thermal stability of Eu^(3+)-doped Ca_(2)YTaO_(6) phosphors contribute to its application value in white lightemitting diodes(w-Leds).
