Effects of core and non-dominant arm strength training on drive distance in elite golfers

Background： Various training schemes have sought to improve golf-related athletic ability. In the golf swing motion, the muscle strengths of the core and arms play important roles, where a difference typically exists in the power of arm muscles between the dominant and non- dominant sides. The purposes of this study were to determine the effects of exercises strengthening the core and non-dominant arm muscles of elite golf players （handicap 〈 3） on the increase in drive distance, and to present a corresponding training scheme aimed at improving golf performance ability. Methods： Sixty elite golfers were randomized into the control group （CG, n = 20）, core exercise group （CEG, n = 20）, and group receiving a combination of muscle strengthening exercises of the non-dominant arm and the core （NCEG, n = 20）. The 3 groups conducted the corresponding exercises for 8 weeks, after which the changes in drive distances and isokinetic strength were measured. Results： Significant differences in the overall improvement of drive distance were observed among the groups （p 〈 0.001）. Enhancement of the drive distance of NCEG was greater than both CG （p 〈 0.001） and CEG （p = 0.001）. Except for trunk flexion, all variables of the measurements of isokinetic strength for NCEG also showed the highest values compared to the other groups. Examination of the correlation between drive distance and isokinetic strength revealed significant correlations of all variables except trunk flexion, wrist extension, and elbow extension. Conclusion： The combination of core and non-dominant arm strength exercises can provide a more effective specialized training program than core alone training for golfers to increase their drive distances.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of *** on longitudinal bone growth rate in adolescent female *** *** was extracted with 30% EtOH for 3h at 90℃in a reflux *** Sprague-Dawley rats(33d-old)were randomly divided into three groups:control(vehicle),recombinant human growth hormone(rhGH;20μg·kg-1·d-1),and ***(300mg·kg-1·d-1).*** extracts or vehicle was administered orally twice daily for *** bone growth rate in newly synthesized bone was observed using tetracycline labeling(20mg·kg-1,intraperitoneally).RESULTS *** significantly increased longitudinal bone growth rate in adolescent female rats at 300mg·kg-1(6.1%,357.34±32.67μm·d-1)compared to control group(336.80±14.47μm·d-1).CONCLUSION *** extract significantly increased longitudinal bone growth rate and growth plate height in adolescent female *** results suggest that *** could be helpful for increasing bone growth rate in children who have growth retardation.

Amid the growing interest in triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)as novel energy-harvesting devices,several studies have focused on direct current(DC)TENGs to generate a stable DC output for operating electronic ***,owing to the working mechanisms of conventional DC TENGs,generating a stable DC output from reciprocating motion remains a ***,we propose a bidirectional rotating DC TENG(BiR-TENG),which can generate DC outputs,regardless of the direction of rotation,from reciprocating *** distinct design of the BiR-TENG enables the mechanical rectification of the alternating current output into a rotational-direction-dependent DC ***,it allows the conversion of the rotational-direction-dependent DC output into a unidirectional DC output by adapting the configurations depending on the rotational *** to these tailored design strategies and subsequent optimizations,the BiR-TENG could generate an effective unidirectional DC *** of the BiR-TENG for the reciprocating motions of swinging doors and waves were demonstrated by harnessing this *** study demonstrates the potential of the BiR-TENG design strategy as an effective and versatile solution for energy harvesting from reciprocating motions,highlighting the suitability of DC outputs as an energy source for electronic devices.

Oxidative stress has been strongly related with Parkinson disease (PD) and Alzheimer disease pathogenesis. We determined the effects of Lactococcus lactis (LAL) supplementation on the generated loss-of-function mutants of PINK1 B9, an AR-JP-linked gene and Aβ42 induced phenotypes in a Drosophila melanogaster model of PD/AD. Enhanced mutant PINK1 B9 and Aβ42 expression in D. melanogaster dopaminergic (DA) neurons can curtail lifespan, flight muscle accompanied by locomotive defects and we have observed longevity methods to assay the effects of LAL on D. melanogaster survival. Furthermore, flies expressing mutant PINK1 B9 and Aβ42 in their brain fed LAL had up to the two weeks, or 25%, greater median lifespan than those fed a standard sucrose diet. In addition, LAL improved mutant PINK1 B9 and Aβ42-induced flight impairments in the Drosophila wing. Our microscopy analyses revealed that individuals fed LAL had improved atypical ommatidia as well as an increased thirteen percentage of flight ability than those fed a control diet. We propose that LAL, rich in naturally occurring probiotics and antioxidants, promotes the survival of neurons in brain and wing muscle tissues with increased levels of mutant PINK1 B9 and Aβ42 via a protective cell survival mechanism.

目的 (18F-氟戊基)三苯基季磷盐(18F-FPTP)是一种新的有应用前景的心肌PET显像剂,其在心肌细胞内积聚量多且肝脏清除快。该研究小组在小鼠体内做了18F-FPTP PET显像的代谢区室分析和两项线性分析,即用于生成参数图的线性最小二乘法（LLS）和基函数法（BFM）分析。此外,还研究了动态分析的最小动态显像时间,并进行了计算机模拟。方法对心肌梗死（MI）小鼠模型（n=12）进行18F-FPTP动态PET显像（18 min）和CT显像。在左心室、正常心肌和梗死区勾画感兴趣区（ROI）。比较两室模型（速率常数k1和k2;2室2参数）和不可逆摄取的三室模型（速率常数k1-k3;3室3参数）的拟合优度,并进行部分容积和溢出校正（Vα和α=1-Va）。LLS和BFM用于基于ROI和基于体素的动力学参数估算,估算结果与相应代谢区室模型标准的基于ROI的非线性最小二乘法（NLS）结果进行比较。通过计算机模拟研究估算方法的统计学特点。结果 2室2参数模型最适于描述18F-FPTP的动力学表现。正常心肌的平均k1、k2和Va值分别是6.8ml·min-1·g-1、1.1/min和0.44,而梗死组织的分别是1.4 ml·min-1·g-1、1.1/min和0.32。动态显像10 min的数据即足够用于估算各项参数。LLS和BFM的估算结果与ROI水平的NLS的结果有很好的相关性（k1:1.22x-0.30,r2=0.90;y=1.26x+0.00,r2=0.92）。动态参数图形（αk1,k1,k2,Va）的局部分布具有生理相关性。在计算机模拟中,LLS和BFM比NLS的特征性更强。结论快速的动力学特征和心肌较高的特异性摄取使18F-FPTP能在显像开始的最初10 min动态显像内,利用2室2参数模型进行定量分析。LLS和BFM能在体素水平进行参数估算,这2种方法可用于定量评价18F-FPTP在心肌中的分布,进而研究其在不同条件、不同疾病模型和病种中进行心肌显像的表现。

Tandem device architectures offer a route to greatly increase the maximum possible power conversion efficiencies(PCEs)of polymer solar cells,however,the complexity of tandem cell device fabrication(such as selecting bandgaps of the front and back cells,current matching,thickness,and recombination layer optimization)often result in lower PCEs than are observed in single-junction *** this study,we analyze the influence of front cell and back cell bandgaps and use transfer matrix modeling to rationally design and optimize effective tandem solar cell structures before actual device *** approach allows us to estimate tandem device parameters based on known absorption coefficients and open-circuit voltages of different active layer materials and design devices without wasting valuable time and *** this approach,we have investigated a series of wide bandgap,high voltage photovoltaic polymers as front cells in tandem devices with PTB7-Th as a back *** this way,we have been able to demonstrate tandem devices with PCE of up to 12.8%with minimal consumption of valuable photoactive materials in tandem device *** value represents one of the highest PCE values to date for fullerene-based tandem solar cells.

The (Y,Gd)BO 3∶Eu phosphor was synthesized by solid state reaction. The UV spectra showed that in a certain range of Gd 3+ concentration, more Gd 3+ absorbed energy and transferred it to Eu 3+ with its increasing concentration. From the spectra in VUV region, it was observed that both the doping and the concentrations of Gd 3+ , Eu 3+ greatly affected the absorption of the host lattice. The absorbances at 147 nm and 170 nm increased when the Gd 3+ was doped which can be explained as that Gd 3+ transferred energy to BO 4. The optical properties of (Y,Gd)BO 3∶Eu were the best when the concentration of Eu 3+ was about 0.04.
