The recycling of rare earth elements（REE） from end-of-life REE based products is an environment friendly proposition. Waste Sm-Co based permanent magnet generated during machining is a good source for both Sm and Co. In the present study a simpler process of acid leaching at 80 ℃ followed by solvent extraction, oxalate precipitation and calcination is described for producing pure Sm2 O3 and Co3 O4. With either 10 vol% H2SO4 or 15 vol% HCI at 80 ℃ more than 95% Sm and Co are leached in 1 *** of Sm from sulphate leach liquor with TBP or Aliquat 336 was poor. Although extraction with TOPS-99 is quantitative but Sm from sulphate leach liquor precipitated as Sm2（SO4）3·8 H2O. The chloride leach liquor at an initial pH of 2.5 and with 1.2 mol/L TOPS-99 shows requirement of 4-stages at A：O = 3：2. Stripping with oxalic acid precipitates Sm-oxalate which is calcined at 800 ℃ to produce Sm2 O3. Co3 O4 is recovered from the raffinate through oxalate precipitation followed by calcination at450℃.

This research article mainly reports on the precise structural,optical,and photocatalytic properties of cerium(Ce)-substituted yttrium manganite(YMnO_(3))nanoparticles synthesized by the polyacrylamide gel *** characteristics of YMnO_(3)were investigated by the substitution of Ce into the Y site at various molar *** Raman and X-ray diffraction(XRD)analyses confirmed the pure phase of hexagonal YMnO_(3),supported by the Rietveld *** microstructural studies indicate inhomogeneous and irregular particle *** X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)results show the presence of two ionic states of Mn and Ce along with Y^(3+)state and oxygen *** optical exploration using photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopy and UV-Vis-NIR analysis indicates that the intensity of absorption peak increases in the visible region,while the bandgap decreases from 1.42 to1.30 eV with the Ce ion doping(5 mol%-15 mol%).Photocatalytic properties of the polycrystalline nanoparticles were investigated by degradation of the pollutant *** process of amplified photocatalysis process was elucidated by the lowered bandgap and rate of charge carrier *** can be conjugated from this study that the synthesized nanoparticles may be employed as highly efficient(92.8%)visible light-triggered photocatalysts in a variety of real-world applications.

In the nonparametric data envelopment analysis literature,scale elasticity is evaluated in two alternative ways:using either the technical efficiency model or the cost efficiency *** evaluation becomes problematic in several situations,for example(a)when input proportions change in the long run,(b)when inputs are heterogeneous,and(c)when firms face ex-ante price uncertainty in making their production *** address these situations,a scale elasticity evaluation was performed using a value-based cost efficiency ***,this alternative value-based scale elasticity evaluation is sensitive to the uncertainty and variability underlying input and output ***,in this study,we introduce a stochastic cost-efficiency model based on chance-constrained programming to develop a value-based measure of the scale elasticity of firms facing data *** illustrative empirical application to the Indian banking industry comprising 71 banks for eight years(1998–2005)was made to compare inferences about their efficiency and scale *** key findings are as follows:First,both the deterministic model and our proposed stochastic model yield distinctly different results concerning the efficiency and scale elasticity scores at various tolerance levels of chance ***,both models yield the same results at a tolerance level of 0.5,implying that the deterministic model is a special case of the stochastic model in that it reveals the same efficiency and returns to scale characterizations of ***,the stochastic model generates higher efficiency scores for inefficient banks than its deterministic ***,public banks exhibit higher efficiency than private and foreign ***,public and old private banks mostly exhibit either decreasing or constant returns to scale,whereas foreign and new private banks experience either increasing or decreasing returns to *** the application of our proposed stochastic mode

Functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes(f-SWCNTs)hybridized with freshly prepared zinc oxide(ZnO)nanocrystals have been found to be good luminescent material with tuned emission properties.A three-phase nanocomposite of sulfonated polyaniline embedded with such SWCNT/ZnO nanostructures has been prepared by a simple solution mixing chemical process and characterized by using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy,X-ray diffractometry,Raman spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,and thermogravimetric *** study of UVvisible absorption and photoluminescence spectroscopies reveal that the ternary polymer nanocomposite is a luminescent material with enhanced emission *** an increase in DC conductivity indicates that the nanocomposite is also a good conductive material,satisfying Mott’s variable range hopping model for a two-dimensional *** a three-phase nanocomposite may find extensive application in dye-sensitized solar cells,sensors,and supercapacitors.

A 3D porous carbon-manganese oxide（3D-C@MnO） nanocomposite is successfully synthesized via a thermal plasma deposition *** chemical bonds and compositions,phase structures,surface morphologies,*** as-obtained 3D-C@MnO nanocomposite were characterized by the various equipment,such as X-ray diffractometer,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and electron *** electrochemical performances of the 3D-C@MnO nanocomposite electrode showed a specific capacitance of 780 Fg;at a current density of 2Ag;and a capacitance retention rate of 99% after 5000 charge-discharge cycles at a high current density of 10Ag;.These excellent capacitive performances may be attributed to the encapsulation of MnO nanoparticles by porous carbon sheets in the 3D-C@MnO nanocomposite *** is believed that the carbon-encapsulated MnO nanoparticles can be protected from a volume deformation during the charge adsorption/desorption cycle and can be electrically improved by the encapsulated carbon sheets,resulting in better overall capacitive *** addition,this study also demonstrates the practical applicability by assembling a supercapacitor using the as-obtained 3D-C@MnO nanocomposite to glow a light emitting diode.

In this article,we present a dynamical system analysis of a Dirac-Born-Infeld scalar field in a modified f(Q)gravity *** considered a polynomial form of modified gravity,used two different types of scalar potential,polynomial and exponential,and found a closed autonomous dynamical system of *** analyzed the fixed points of such a system and evaluated the conditions under which deceleration to late-time acceleration occurs in this *** note the similarity of the two models and show that our result is consistent with a previous study on Einstein s *** also investigated the phenomenological implications of our models by plotting EoS(ω),energy density(Ω),and deceleration parameter(q)*** e-fold time and comparing to the present *** conclude the paper by observing how the dynamical system analysis differs in the modified f(Q)gravity,and present the future scope of our research.

In the background of f(R,L_(m))gravity,this work investigates three distinct dark matter halo profiles to test the possibility of generalised wormhole geometry within the galactic halo *** current study aims to accomplish these goals by examining various dark matter profiles including universal rotation curves(URC),Navarro-Frenk-White(NFW)model-Ⅰ,and NFW model-Ⅱinside two distinct f(R,L_(m))gravity *** to the f(R,L_(m))=R/2+L^(a)_(m)model,the dark matter(DM)halo density profiles produce suitable shape functions that meet all the necessary requirements for exhibiting the wormhole geometries with appropriate choice of free *** addition,to examine DM profiles under the f(R,L_(m))=R/2+(1+λR)L_(m) model,we consider a specific shape ***,we observed that the derived solution from both two models violates the null energy constraints,confirming that the DM supports wormholes to maintain in the galactic halo.

The current study is performed to find sustainable solutions for the future of transportation and environmental *** conventional methods and experimental design table(L16 Orthogonal Array)techniques have been employed to examine and optimize a diesel-powered engine's operational and pollutant *** L16 Orthogonal Array is obtained through Taguchi's experimental design approach using Minitab 16 *** experimental design incorporated three control variables,namely engine speed,fuel type,and engine load,each with four *** operational parameters,namely brake thermal efficiency(BTE)and brake specific fuel consumption(BSFC),as well as the emission characteristics,including hydrocarbon(HC),carbon monoxide(CO),nitrogen oxide(NO),and smoke emissions,were acquired using the L16 orthogonal array(OA) and subsequently *** utilization of methodologies such as signal-to-noise(S/N) ratio and grey analysis was employed to determine the optimal operational state of the engine to achieve maximum performance while minimizing *** engine's ideal state of operation,in terms of BTE and BSFC,was determined to be at 75% engine load,1000 r/min engine speed,and using 10^(-4)(in vol) carbon nanotube incorporated 20% orange peel biodiesel(OPB20CNT100) blended fuel(A3-B1-C4).The study indicated that engine load significantly influenced BTE and BSFC,with 84.05% and 87.79% contribution factors,*** 25% engine load,1000 r/min,and OPB20CNT100 fuel(A1-B1-C4) CO,smoke,NO,and HC emissions were the *** load affects emissions the *** BSFC increased 3.10% and NO emissions 1.77%.BTE,CO,smoke,and HC emissions decreased by 1.9%,12.29%,47.05%,and 47.22%,respectively,at optimal operating conditions concerning diesel *** study shows that Taguchi-Grey's experimental design optimizes diesel engine operational and pollutant *** outcomes revealed that orange peel biodiesel infused with CNT can replace diesel fuel in a

Damage caused due to low-velocity impacts in composites leads to substantial deterioration in their residual strength and eventually provokes structural *** work presents an experimental investigation on the effects of different patch and parent laminate stacking sequences on the enhancement of impact strength of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers(CFRP)composites by utilising the adhesively bonded external patch repair *** evolution study is also performed with the aid of Acoustic Emission(AE).Two different quasi-isotropic configurations were selected for the parent laminate,viz.,[45°/45°/0°/0°]s and[45°/0°/45°/0°]*** Static Indentation(QSI)test was performed on both the pristine laminates,and damage areas were detected by using the C-scan inspection *** laminates were repaired by using a single-sided patch of two different configurations,viz.,[45°/45°/45°/45°]and[45°/0°/0°/45°],and employing a circular plug to fill the damaged *** different combinations of repaired laminates with two configurations of each parent and patch laminate were produced,which were further subjected to the QSI *** results reveal the effectiveness of the repair method,as all the repaired laminates show higher impact resistance compared to the respective pristine *** of[45°/0°/0°/45°]configuration when repaired by taking[45°/45°/0°/0°]s and[45°/0°/45°/0°]s as parents exhibited 68%and 73%higher peak loads,respectively,than the respective pristine ***,parent and patch of configuration[45°/0°/45°/0°]s and[45°/0°/0°/45°],respectively,attain the highest peak load,whereas[45°/45°/0°/0°]s and[45°/45°/45°/45°]combinations possess the most gradual decrease in the load.
