We report on an experiment performed at the FLASh2 free-electron laser(FEL)aimed at producing warm dense matter via soft x-ray isochoric *** the experiment,we focus on study of the ions emitted during the soft x-ray ablation process using time-of-flight electron multipliers and a shifted Maxwell–Boltzmann velocity distribution *** find that most emitted ions are thermal,but that some impurities chemisorbed on the target surface,such as protons,are accelerated by the electrostatic field created in the plasma by escaped *** morphology of the complex crater structure indicates the presence of several ion groups with varying *** find that the ion sound velocity is controlled by the ion temperature and show how the ion yield depends on the FEL radiation attenuation length in different materials.

Neutron-rich P,Cl,and k isotopes,particularly those with neutron numbers of approximately N=28,have attracted extensive experimental and theoretical *** utilize the ab initio valence-space in-medium similarity renormalization group approach,based on chiral nucleon-nucleon and three-nucleon forces,to investigate the exotic properties of these *** calculations of the low-lying spectra are performed.A key finding is the level inversion between 3/2_(1)^(+)and 1/2_(1)^(+)states in odd-A isotopes,attributed to the inversion ofπ0xod_(3/2) andπls_(1/2) single-particle *** ab initio calculations,which incorporate the three-nucleon forces,correlate closely with existing experimental *** calculations of effective proton single-particle energies provide deeper insights into the shell evolution for Z=14 and 16 *** results indicate that the three-body force plays important roles in the shell evolution for Z=14 and 16 sub-shells with neutron numbers ranging from 20 to ***,systematic ab initio calculations are conducted for the low-lying spectra of odd-odd *** results correspond with experimental data and provide new insights for future research into these isotopes up to and beyond the drip line.

In the present study Ti-Nb binary alloy system was chosen because it has excellent biocompatibility as well as reasonable mechanical properties,aiming at understanding oxygen content on microstructural formation, elastic modulus and tensile properties in Ti-Nb alloy *** alloy buttons of 50 mm in diameter were prepared by arc melting on a water-cooled copper hearth under an argon gas atmosphere with a non-consumable tungsten *** button ingots were then heat treated in a vacuum atmosphere at 1273 k for 0.5 h followed by water quenching in a specially designed heat treatment ***,elastic modulus and tensile properties were investigated in order to understand the effect of oxygen content in quenched Ti- Nb alloy *** orthorhombic structuredα″martensite was changed to bcc structuredβ-phase with increasing Nb ***,it was found that oxygen makesβ-phase stable in quenched Ti-Nb alloy *** modulus values were sensitive to phase stability of constituent *** strength increased with increasing oxygen *** will be explained by phase formation and stability behavior.

The structural and surface properties of high-quality epitaxial cubic MgxZn1-xO films deposited by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) were studied by X-ray diffracti on and atomic force microscopy respectively. For films of about 500nm thick, sca ns over a 30μm × 30μm area revealed a surface roughness ra of about 100nm. Th is relatively large surface roughness is primarily attributed to the particulate and outgrowth during the PLD process. A good epitaxial growth on LaAlO3 (LAO ) (100) substrates, however has been obtained for composition x = 0.9, 0.7 and 0 .5 with the heteroepitaxial relationship of (100)■∥(100)LAO (out-of-plane) and (011)■∥(010)LAO (in-plane). These structural qualities suggest that cubic Mgx Zn1-xO alloys films have good potential in a variety of optoelectronic device ap plications.

Small mammal community response to early meadow–forest succession

Background： With farmland afforestation becoming common policy in many European Union countries, we studied how early forest succession（from meadow to young stand） influences small mammal species composition, diversity,abundance and biomass. Despite numerous investigations into forest succession, almost no attention has been given to the small mammal community change in the early-successional forest ecosystems, starting with the pre-forest habitat and ending with stand formation and the establishment of tree dominance. We compared small mammal communities in meadows at the initial stage of regrowth（with saplings less than 10 cm in height）, in young forest（5–10 years old） and more advanced forest（15–20 years） in both cases of human-induced forest succession, where the trees had been planted, and natural forest succession, where natural regrowth of meadows had ***： The greatest diversity of small mammal species was recorded in the meadow（h = 2.95）, with a lower diversity found in the young forest（h = 2.61） and even lower in the advanced forest（h = 2.04）, the last habitat being the most monodominantic. The order of species dominance from Microtus sp.（M. arvalis, M. agrestis）, Myodes glareolus, Apodemus flavicollis, Sorex araneus, A. agrarius in the meadow changed to M. glareolus, S. araneus, M. arvalis,M. agrestis in the young forest and to M. glareolus, A. flavicollis, S. araneus in the advanced forest. The lowest relative abundance of small mammals was recorded in the meadow（18.19 ± 2.27 ind. Per 100 trap-days）, with Microtus voles being the most abundant. Relative abundance was higher in the young forest（22.72 ± 2.25 ind. Per 100 trap-days）,with Myodes glareolus being the most abundant（7.59 ± 0.96 ind. Per 100 trap-days） and at its highest in the advanced forest（23.91 ± 2.77 ind. Per 100 trap-days）, again with M. glareolus being the most abundant（15.54 ± 2.35 ind. Background The increase in the frequency and intensity of droughts is pointed out as one of the main factors altering biogeochemical cycles in the Amazon *** eco-nutritional approach using X-ray fluorescence micro-analysis(μXRF)is proposed to verify the long-and short-term effects of droughts on the growth and xylem nutrient concentrations of Cedrela fissilis *** Fourteen radii were selected from a tree-ring width chronology and X-rayed by Itrax *** of ring width,wood density,and concentrations of aluminum(Al),phosphorus(P),sulfur(S),calcium(Ca),potassium(k),manganese(Mn),iron(Fe)and strontium(Sr)together with Al/Ca,Ca/Mn,k/Ca,Sr/Ca and Mn/S ratios were constructed and correlated with precipitation,temperature,the difference between precipitation and potential evapotranspiration(P-PET)and standardized precipitation-evapotranspiration index(SPEI).Results During dry years,*** showed narrower,less dense rings,lower Al,P,S and Ca,and higher k and Fe concentrations(the opposite was found in wet years).Ring width decreased(together with Al,P,S,k,Ca,Mn,Fe,Sr,Al/Ca,k/Ca and Sr/Ca)and wood density increased(together with Ca/Mn and Mn/S),which was associated with an increase in evapotranspiration and temperature over time,mainly since *** fissilis showed a tendency to increase its capacity for resistance,and a recovery and resilience in growth over time associated with responses in Al,Ca,P and ***,it showed a risk in the capacity for recovery of the pre-drought density values,associated with unsatisfactory responses in Al,Ca,k,Fe and *** This study is the first attempt to analyze tree-ring nutritional evidences of *** trees to climate sensitivity and resilience to drought,based on long-term data from seasonal moist tropical forests of the *** data suggested that *** is undergoing alterations in the concentration,use and redistribution of nutrients associated with increasing wood density and d
