Effect of Co substitution on the structural,dielectric and optical properties of kBiFe_(2)O_(5)

Cobalt(Co)-modified brownmillerite kBiFe_(2)O_(5)(kBFO;[kBiFe_(2(1−x))Co_(2x)O_(5)(x=0,0.05)])polycrystalline is synthesized following the solid-state reaction *** refinement of X-ray diffraction data confirmed the phase purity of kBFO and kBiFe_(1.9)Co_(0.1)O_(5)(kBFCO).The optical bandgap energy(Eg)of kBFO decreased from 1.59 to 1.51 eV because of Co *** decrease in bandgap can be attributed to the tilting of the Fe–O tetrahedral structure of *** observed room-temperature Raman peaks of kBFCO shifted by 3 cm^(−1) toward a lower wavenumber than that of *** shift in Raman active modes can be attributed to the change in the bond angles and bond lengths of the Fe–O tetrahedral structure and modification in response to oxygen deficiency in kBFO because of Co *** with that of kBFO,the frequency-dependent dielectric constant and dielectric loss of kBFCO decrease at room temperature,which is a consequence of the reduction in oxygen migration and modification in response to vibrational modes present in the sample.

Modern technology for developing new items made from renewable resources is becoming more and more popular as a result of rising environmental ***,contemporary polymer composites have included the hybridization of natural fibers with synthetic ones,along with the inclusion of a variety of biowaste filler for developing sustainable *** this work,the kenaf/glass hybrid polyester composites are strengthened by the addition of fish scale(FS),which is taken from the fish􀆳s outermost layer of *** different stacked-order laminates,such as kkkk,kGkG,GkkG,kGGk,and GGGG,are fabricated by using the hand lay-up method with four different weight concentrations of filler content:0%,5%,10%,and 15%.Mechanical possessions such as tensile,flexural,impact strength and micro-hardness have been evaluated through experimentation in accordance with ASTM *** experimental findings revealed that,the tensile strength and micro-hardness value of kGkG laminates with 15wt% of FS filler are found to be maximum of 118.72 MPa and 17.82 HV respectively which are 39.67%and 26.11%greater than that of kGkG laminates without FS ***,the flexural and impact strength of same laminates with 10 wt% FS filler exhibited a maximum value of 142.77 MPa and 62.08 kJ/m^(2).In order to corroborate its applicability for structural and building materials in open environment,the dimensional stability of the composite has been studied through moisture absorption *** influences of FS filler loading on dimensional stability and resistance to moisture absorption capacity of laminates are also *** experimental results reflected that the addition of FS-filler has significantly improved the dimensional stability of the laminates in moist environment by reducing the moisture absorption *** further support the mode of failures,a fractography investigation of fractured surfaces was conducted.

The awareness amongst the researchers to develop an environment friendly sustainable material leads to explore new class of plant-based fiber for making composites. Hybridization of such plant-based fiber with inclusion of engineered fiber is one of the promising methods to not only enhanced the mechanical performance but also suppressed the drawbacks that associate with such plant-based fiber to some extent. A usual hand lay-up method was taken-up in this work to fabricate four layered of hybrid kenaf(k)/glass(G)polyester laminates with different stacking order such as kkkk,kGkG,kGGk,GkkG and GGGG. The erosive character of the laminates was examined under three distinct particle velocities(48m/s, 70m/s,82m/s)and four different impact angles(30°, 45°, 60°, 90°). All fabricated laminates exhibited a semiductile character at lower velocities(48m/s and70m/s)as peak wear rate was observed at45° impact angle. However,they showed a semi-brittle character at high velocity(82m/s)as maximum rate of erosion was noticed at60° impact angle. Again,the influence of stacking order of piles on erosion wear was also clearly noticed. Moreover,the semi-brittle/semi-ductile characterization was also evidenced in accordance to the range of erosion efficiencies. The micro-structures of worn surfaces were inspected thoroughly from the images of scanning electron microscope(SEM)to evident the mechanism of erosion.

Arsenic,a dangerous bio-accumulative poison,is a grave threat affecting a large number of people as well as animals throughout theWorld,particularly in Bangladesh and West Bengal,*** is also a matter of concern as continuously entering into food chain through biotic and abiotic *** present study was conducted to evaluate the experimental effect of arsenic toxicosis on Garole sheep of West *** group was subjected to oral arsenic exposure@6.6 mg kg1 over 133 days when rests considered as negative *** arsenic estimation in wool,urine and feces along with hemato-biochemical alteration were checked *** was evident from the study that long term arsenic exposure exerted a significant(pke coagulative necrosis of liver,tubular nephritis of kidney and acanthosis of skin *** bioaccumulative and excretion pattern of arsenic inside body were also well understood by the arsenic estimation study of wool,urine and feces which may be helpful for discussion regarding arsenic entry into food chain via animals.

Like many of the tropical islands, the population of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, though not directly, relies predominantly upon rain water harvesting to quench their need and also depends on the groundwater sources. In the background of climate change, severity of hydrological cycle is much anticipated which may cause more extreme and unusual precipitation. It is quite essential to have other alternatives. Accordingly, groundwater could be exploited as a potential alternative. The present study intends to find out the potential groundwater source and estimate aquifer parameters in kodiyaghat (kD) and Burmanallah (BN). As these areas are composed of very hard rock, Wenner-Schlumberger array has been used to carry out a 2D Electrical Resistivity Tomography survey to find out the fracture zone as well as to delineate the aquifer. kD and BN show maximum resistivity of 25,416 Ωm and 5985 Ωm indicate very hard rock terrain. Similarly, the minimum values of resistivity (21.6 Ωm and 30.4 Ωm) were observed at kD and BN define the presence of freshwater aquifers respectively. The aquifer identified was found to be at a depth of 5 m to 19.9 m at kD and 2.5 m to 20 m at BN. The calculated Hydraulic conductivity (14.85 m/day and 30.14 m/day), transmissivity (86.25 m2/day and 271.27 m2/day) and porosity (28.7% and 31.24%) values at kD and BN confirmed that, the located aquifer was of fresh ground water quality and can be utilized for drinking and house hold purposes. According to the results, almost 70% of the study area is hard rock terrain and 30% comes under potential aquifer zone. The results also show that, both the areas were characterized by Horst and Graben topography and suggest possible groundwater sources for future exploration.
