Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH),an advanced form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLd),has emerged as the leading cause of liver failure and related ***,no medication is specifically approved to treat NAFLd or *** we report that oral administration of honey vesiclelike nanoparticles(H-VLNs)to naturally aged mice protects the liver from NASH development.H-VLNs are dominantly taken up by kupffer cells in the liver and suppress hepatic chronic inflammation and further development of fibrosis and nodule formation in aged *** their reported antiinflammasome function,H-VLNs are found to inhibit the transcriptional activities of C-JUN and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB).MicroRNAs miR5119 and miR5108 and phenolic compound luteolin in H-VLNs are identified in suppressing both the C-JUN and NF-kB ***,oral intake of H-VLNs represents a promising new user-friendly modality to prevent the development of NASH.

We have recently proposed a new technique of plasma tailoring by laser-driven hydrodynamic shockwaves generated on both sides of a gas jet[Marquès et al.,*** 28,023103(2021)].in a continuation of this numerical work,we study experimentally the influence of the tailoring on proton acceleration driven by a high-intensity picosecond laser in three cases:without tailoring,by tailoring only the entrance side of the picosecond laser,and by tailoring both sides of the gas *** tailoring,the acceleration is transverse to the laser axis,with a low-energy exponential spectrum,produced by Coulomb *** the front side of the gas jet is tailored,a forward acceleration appears,which is significantly enhanced when both the front and back sides of the plasma are *** forward acceleration produces higher-energy protons,with a peaked spectrum,and is in good agreement with the mechanism of collisionless shock acceleration(CSA).The spatiotemporal evolution of the plasma profile is characterized by optical shadowgraphy of a probe *** refraction and absorption of this beam are simulated by post-processing 3d hydrodynamic simulations of the plasma *** with the experimental results allows estimation of the thickness and near-critical density of the plasma slab produced by tailoring both sides of the gas *** parameters are in good agreement with those required for CSA.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

Antidepressant-Like Effects of Hesperidin in Animal Model of post-Traumatic Stress disorder

Objective:post-traumatic stress disorder(pTSd)is a psychiatric disorder characterized by depression and anxiety,that arises due to an imbalance of neurotransmitters in response to excessive ***(HSd)is a naturally occurring flavonoid shown to exert a variety of biological activities,including antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,and neuroprotective ***:This study was used the open field test(OFT)and forced swimming test(FST)to examine the effects of HSd on the depression-like response of rats after exposure to a single prolonged stress(SpS)leading to the dysregulation of the serotonergic activation *** rats were given HSd(20,50,and 100 mg/kg,intraperitoneal injection,n=6–7 per group)once daily for 14 days after exposure to *** influence of administration of HSd on SpS-induced behavioral responses and concentrations of serotonin(5-HT),5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid(5-HiAA),and monoamine oxidase-A(MAO-A)in the rat brain were also investigated using enzyme-linked immunoassays(ELiSAs).Results:daily HSd administration significantly improved depression-like behaviors in the FST(pincreased the number of lines crossed in the central zone of the OFT(pd reduced freezing behavior both in contextual and cued fear *** treatment also attenuated the reduction in SpS-induced 5-HT concentrations in the hippocampus and *** increase in 5-HT concentrations during HSd treatment was partially attributed to a decrease in the 5-HiAA/5-HT ratio in the hippocampus of rats with ***,HSd treatment inhibited activity of MAO-A and decreases of tryptophan hydroxylase-1 expression in the ***:HSd was shown to exert antidepressant effects in rats exposed to SpS,suggesting that this natural flavonoid may be an effective medicine for pTSd.

Sensory quality of meat from eight different types of cattle in relation with their biochemical characteristics

The present study compared eight breeds of cattle differing in gender （heifers, buls and steers） to determine associations between muscle characteristics and meat sensory qualities of theLongissimus thoracis muscle. Animal types differed in al the muscle characteristics and sensory qualities. Many correlations among muscle characteristics and among sensory qualities were consistent for most animal types. isocitrate dehydrogenase （iCdH） activities alowed discrimination of muscles with respect to myosin heavy chain （MyHC）-i proportions for al animal types. Lactate dehydrogenase （LdH） and phos-phofructokinase （pFk） activities were positively correlated for most animal types. Overal liking was correlated with beef lfavour and abnormal lfavour in al animal types and with global tenderness for al animal types except for Charolais cross breed steers. For al animal types except for Angus×Friesian heifers, beef lfavour and abnormal lfavour were negatively correlated. Overal liking was not correlated with juiciness. pFk, iCdH and citrate synthase （CS） activities were strongly associated with tenderness, beef lfavour and overal liking when average values for al animal types were used. However, associations between muscle characteristics and sensory qualities within animal types were weak and inconsistent.

Medicago truncatula is a model legume species that has been studied for decades to understand the symbiotic relationship between legumes and soil bacteria collectively named *** symbiosis called nodulation is initiated in roots with the infection of root hair cells by the bacteria,as well as the initiation of nodule primordia from root cortical,endodermal,and pericycle cells,leading to the development of a new root organ,the nodule,where bacteria fix and assimilate the atmospheric dinitrogen for the benefit of the ***,we report the isolation and use of the nuclei from mock and rhizobia-inoculated roots for the single nuclei RNA-seq(sNucRNA-seq)profiling to gain a deeper understanding of early responses to rhizobial infection in Medicago roots.A gene expression map of the Medicago root was generated,comprising 25 clusters,which were annotated as specific cell types using 119 Medicago marker genes and orthologs to Arabidopsis cell-type marker genes.A focus on root hair,cortex,endodermis,and pericycle cell types,showing the strongest differential regulation in response to a short-term(48 h)rhizobium inoculation,revealed not only known genes and functional pathways,validating the sNucRNA-seq approach,but also numerous novel genes and pathways,allowing a comprehensive analysis of early root symbiotic responses at a cell type-specific level.

Structural and Optical properties of Nanocrystal in203 Films by Thermal Oxidation of in2S3 Films

in2S3 nanocrystalline films are prepared on glass substrates by the spray pyrolysis technique using indium chloride and thiourea as precursors. The deposition is carried out at 350℃ on glass substrates. The films are then annealed for two hour at 200, 400, 600, and 800℃ in O2 flow. This process allows the transformation of nanocrystal in203 films from in2S3 films and the reaction completes at 600℃. These results indicate that the in2O3 film prepared by this simple thermal oxidation method is a promising candidate for electro-optical and photovoltaic devices.

Water quality in forest and village ponds in Burkina Faso(western Africa)

Forest ecosystems help conserve the quality of water resources in aquatic habitats. The conservation of biological diversity in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems remains a communal concern. Aquatic ecosystems and resources are vulnerable but can be preserved and protected by forests. in sub-Saharan regions of Africa, water from ecosystems such as ponds still play important role in the livelihood of local populations. Water from temporary ponds is used by local populations for multiple needs; however, in this part of the world, the population is increasing, thus increasing human needs and activities and land use in the region. Land-use changes lead to deforestation, land degradation and the decline in freshwater, affecting human health and well-being. Forest degradation leads to the decline in ecosystem goods and services, particularly those related to watersheds. This study conducted in eastern Burkina Faso aimed to assess water quality of temporary ponds in protected forest areas (reserves) and surrounding villages. it was conducted in 61 temporary ponds where physical, chemical and biological variables were measured, such as water surface area, depth, transparency, macrophyte cover, pH, dissolved O2, conductivity, nutrient concentrations and algae biomass. The results showed that at p surface area (p = 0.02), depth (p = 0.00), nutrient content (p = 0.00), and algae biomass (p = 0.04) were significantly higher outside reserves than inside reserves. in contrast, macrophyte cover (mean cover percentages 53 vs. 44.5%) and water transparency (p = 0.02) were higher inside reserves. The variations in conductivity and pH were not significant. All trends showed the influences of human activities on water characteristics and the role forests and land cover had in preventing negative human impacts and disturbance of temporary ponds.
