Context:The role of glycated haemoglobin(HbA1c)in the prediction of ischaemic stroke in individuals without diabetes is ***:We performed a study to analyse the role of HbA1c in the risk prediction of ischaemic stroke in Pakistani population without *** further studied the difference between HbA1c values of individuals with diabetes and without diabetes with *** and design:Single centre,case–*** and methods:In phase I,a total of 233 patients without diabetes with ischaemic stroke and 245 as controls were *** of HbA1c levels,lipid profiles and blood pressure recordings with ischaemic stroke was *** phase II,comparison was done between diabetics and nondiabetics with *** analysis:Comparison of the mean variables was performed with Student’s *** regression analysis with ischaemic stroke as the dependent variable was performed for phase ***:In phase I,the ischaemic stroke group had significantly higher HbA1c levels(5.9±2.9%vs 5.5±1.6%)compared with controls(pminants of stroke(pmean HbA1c values were significantly higher in the diabetes group(7.6±2.1 vs 6.1±2.3)(pmeters were not statistically significantly different(p>0.05).Conclusions:Higher HbA1c indicated a significantly increased risk for ischaemic *** HbA1c value above 5.6%(prediabetic range)predicted future risk of stroke and efforts to maintain glucose level within the normal range(≤5.6%)in individuals with high cardiovascular risk are important.

We consider a two-photon correlated emission laser as a source of an entangled radiation with a large number of photons in each mode. The system consists of three-level atomic schemes inside a doubly resonant cavity. We study the dynamics of this system in the presence of cavity losses, concluding that the creation of entangled states with photon numbers up to tens of thousands seems achievable.

In this paper, we present the effect of varied illumination levels on the electrical properties of the organic blend bulk heterojuction （BHJ） photodiode. To prepare the BHJ blend, poly（2-methoxy-5（2P-ethylhexyloxy） phenyleneviny- lene （mEH-PPV） and aluminum-tris-（8-hydroxyquinoline）（Alq3） are used as donor and acceptor materials, respectively. In order to fabricate the photodiode, a 40-nm thick film of poly（3, 4-ethylendioxytbiophene）：poly（styrensulfonate）（PE- DOT：PSS） is primarily deposited on a cleaned ITO coated glass substrate by spin coating technique. The organic photo- sensitive blend is later spun coated on the PEDOT：PSS layer, followed by the lithium fluoride （LiF） and aluminium （A1） thin films deposition by thermal evaporation. The optical properties of the mEH-PPV：Alq3 blend thin films are investigated using photoluminescence （PL） and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The photodiode shows good photo-current response as a function of variable illumination levels. The responsivity value - 8 mA/W at 3 V is found and the ratio of photo-current to dark current （lph/IDark） is found to be 1.24.
