Phosphoric Acid Pretreatment and Saccharification of Paper Sludge as a Renewable Material for Cellulosic Fibers

Recycling of paper sludge waste is crucial for establishing a sustainable green *** waste contains valuable sugars that can be converted into important chemicals such as ethanol,poly hydroxybutyrate,and lactic ***,the main challenge in obtaining sugars in high yield from paper sludge is the high crystallinity of cellulose,which hinders *** address this,pretreatment using phosphoric acid was optimized using response surface methodology to facilitate cellulose hydrolysis with minimal energy and *** created prediction model using the response surface method considered factors such as acid concentration(ranging from 60%to 85%),consistency(ranging from 4%to 10%),temperature(ranging from 25℃to 80℃),and time(ranging from 0.5 to 4 h).The results revealed that the model’s significant factors affecting the yield were acid concentration,reaction time,temperature,and the product of acid concentration and temperature,while the model’s significant factors affecting the crystallinity were the consistency,the temperature,and their *** results showed that the optimum conditions for pretreatment were using an acid concentration of 64%,temperature of 25℃,consistency of 10%,and time of 30 *** hydrolysis of the conditionally pretreated paper sludge resulted in a weight loss of 42%,compared to only 18%weight loss in non-pretreated paper ***,the optimized conditions led to low levels of furfurals and acetic acid,which are undesirable by-products that can interfere with sugar *** total sugar obtained under the optimized conditions was 0.43 g glucose/g sample(10.46 g/L),while the contents of methyl furfural,furfural,and acetic acid were 21.65,235.7,and 4.57 mg/L,*** study demonstrates the potential of phosphoric acid for pretreatment and hydrolysis of paper sludge,enabling efficient saccharification and the production of sugars with minimal undesired by-products.

One of the challenges of Informationcentric Networking(ICN)is finding the optimal location for caching content and processing users’*** this paper,we address this challenge by leveraging Software-defined Networking(SDN)for efficient ICN *** achieve this,we formulate the problem as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming(MINLP)model,incorporating caching,routing,and load balancing *** explore two distinct scenarios to tackle the ***,we solve the problem in an offline mode using the GAMS environment,assuming a stable network state to demonstrate the superior performance of the cacheenabled network compared to non-cache ***,we investigate the problem in an online mode where the network state dynamically changes over *** the computational complexity associated with MINLP,we propose the software-defined caching,routing,and load balancing(SDCRL)algorithm as an efficient and scalable *** evaluation demonstrates that the SDCRL algorithm significantly reduces computational time while maintaining results that closely resemble those achieved by GAMS.

A sedimentological investigation was carried out to reconstruct the paleogeography of the Zagros Foreland Basin. Based on the study of more than 1 000 rock samples, nine carbonate microfacies and three terrigenous facies were identified. The study reveals that the Maastrichtian succession was deposited in a widespread homoclinal ramp in the High Zagros Basin. Three(Gandom kar area), two(Ardal area), seven(Gardbishe area), five(Shirmard area), two(kuh-e-kamaneh area), three(kuh-e-Balghar area), and six(Murak area) of depositional sequences(3rd order) were identified. The thickness of the lowstand systems tract(LST) due to activities of local faults and subsidence in the southeast is more than in the central and northwest of the High Zagros Basin during the Early and Early Middle Maastrichtian. During the Middle Maastrichtian, the shallow and deep marine deposits were formed during the transgressive systems tract(TST) and highstand systems tract(HST) in this basin and the rate of subsidence in the center of this basin(Gardbishe area) is higher than in other areas and the platform was drowned in this area. The falling relative sea-level due to activities of local faults led to that marine deposits were absent in all parts of the High Zagros Basin(except the south part) during the Late Maastrichtian. Paleogeographical studies on the Zagros Basin during the Late Campanian-Maastrichtian showed the following results: shallow marine environments were developed in the southeast of this basin, and the turbidite, delta, and fluvial environments in the northwest were developed more than in other areas.

In this study,the interaction between 3-D bedforms and submerged rigid vegetation has been *** laboratory experiments were conducted to study the distribution of flow velocity,Reynolds shear stress,turbulent kinetic energy,and skewness coefficients for a constant density of *** showed that the velocity profile in the pool section deviates from those in the upstream section of the *** has been found that the dip parameter varied between 0.6H and 0.9H depending on various factors including bed roughness,vegetation distribution,and pool entrance/exit ***,scattered vegetation in the pool and differences in slopes created non-uniform flow ***,in the wake region behind each vegetated element,flow velocity reduced significantly,and small-scale eddies are formed,causing increased *** decreasing the entrance slope and bed roughness,relatively uniform flow and weaker turbulence was resulted,but the random distribution of vegetated elements counteracted this balance and intensified *** the decrease in the pool entrance slope,the contribution of sweep event decreased and the contribution of ejection event increased.

Investigation of Microstructure, Microhardness and Thermal Properties of Ag-In Intermetallic Alloys Prepared by Vacuum Arc Meltings

Ag-In intermetallic alloys were produced by using vacuum arc furnace. Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC) and Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectrometry(EDX) were used to determine the thermal properties and chemical composition of the phases respectively. Microhardness values of Ag-In intermetallics were calculated with Vickers hardness measurement method. According to the experimental results, Ag-34 wt%In intermetallic system generated the best results of energy saving and storage compared to other intermetallic systems. Also from the microhardness results, it was observed that intermetallic alloys were harder than pure silver and Ag-26 wt%In system had the highest microhardness value with 143.45 kg/mm^(2).

The seamless trailing edge morphing flap is investigated using a high-fidelity steady-state aerodynamic shape optimization to determine its optimum configuration for different flight conditions,including climb,cruise,and gliding descent.A comparative study is also conducted between a wing equipped with morphing flap and a wing with conventional hinged *** optimization is performed by specifying a certain objective function and the flight performance goal for each flight *** the climb rate,extending the flight range and endurance in cruise,and decreasing the descend rate,are the flight performance goals covered in this *** optimum configurations were found for the morphing wing by determining the optimum morphing flap deflection for each flight condition,based on its objective function,each of which performed better than that of the baseline *** was shown that by using optimum configuration for the morphing wing in climb condition,the required power could be reduced by up to 3.8%and climb rate increases by 6.13%.The comparative study also revealed that the morphing wing enhances aerodynamic efficiency by up to 17.8%and extends the laminar ***,the optimum configuration for the gliding descent brought about a 43%reduction in the descent rate.
