Back.round Pediatric cancer survivors are at increased risk.of muscle weak.ess and low areal bone mineral density(aBMD).However,the prevalence of muscle streng.h deficits is not well documented,and the associations of muscle streng.h with aBMD are unk.own in this ***,this study aimed to investig.te the prevalence of upper-and lower-body muscle streng.h deficits and to examine the associations of upper-and lower-body muscle streng.h with ag.-,sex,and race-specific aBMD Z-scores at the total body,total hip,femoral neck.and lumbar *** This cross-sectional study included 116 pediatric cancer survivors(12.1±3.3 years old,mean±SD;42.2%female).Upper-and lower-body muscle streng.h were assessed by handg.ip and standing.long.jump test,***‑energ. X‑ray absorptiometry was used to measure aBMD(g.cm2).Associations between muscle streng.h and aBMD were evaluated in multivariable linear reg.ession *** reg.ession was used to evaluate the contribution of muscle streng.h(1-decile lower)to the odds of having.low aBMD(Z-score≤1.0).All analyses were adjusted for time from treatment completion,radiotherapy exposure,and body mass *** More than one-half of survivors were within the 2 lowest deciles for upper-(56.9%)and lower-body muscle streng.h(60.0%)in comparison to ag.-and sex-specific reference *** streng.h deficits were associated with lower aBMD Z-scores at all sites(B=0.133–0.258,p=0.001–0.032).Each 1-decile lower in upper-body muscle streng.h was associated with 30%–95%hig.er odds of having.low aBMD Z-scores at all *** 1-decile lower in lower-body muscle streng.h was associated with 35%–70%hig.er odds of having.low aBMD Z-scores at total body,total hip,and femoral *** Muscle streng.h deficits are prevalent in young pediatric cancer survivors,and such deficits are associated with lower aBMD Z-scores at all *** results sug.est that interventions desig.ed to improve muscle streng.h in t

We consider dual Toeplitz operators on the orthog.nal complements of the Fock.obolev spaces of all nonneg.tive real ***,for symbols in a certain class containing.all bounded functions,we study the problem of when an operator which is finite sums of the dual Toeplitz products is compact or ***,for bounded symbols,we construct a symbol map and exhibit a short exact sequence associated with the C^(*)-alg.bra g.nerated by all dual Toeplitz operators with bounded symbols.

Prevalence and risk.factors of wound complications after transtibial amputation in patients with diabetic foot

BACk.rOUND Diabetic foot(DMF)complications are common and are increasing.in *** factors related to wound complications are yet to be established after transtibial amputation under the diag.osis of DMF *** To analyze the prog.osis and risk.factors related to wound complications after transtibial amputation in patients with *** This retrospective cohort study included seventy-two patients with DMF complications who underwent transtibial amputation between April 2014 and March *** g.oups were categ.rized based on the occurrence of wound complications,and we compared demog.aphic data between the complication g.oup and the non-complication g.oup to analyze risk.***,a multivariate log.stic reg.ession analysis was performed to identify risk.*** The averag. follow-up period was 36.2 *** the 72 cases,31(43.1%)had wound *** these,12 cases(16.7%)received further treatment,such as debridement,soft tissue stump revision,and re-amputation at the proximal *** a g.oup that required further manag.ment due to wound complications after transtibial amputation,the hemog.obin A1c(HbA1c)level was 9.32,while the other g.oup that did not require any treatment had a 7.54 HbA1c *** prevalence of a history of k.dney transplantation with wound complications after transtibial amputation surg.ry in DMF patients was sig.ificantly g.eater than in cases without wound complications(P=0.02).Other factors did not show sig.ificant *** Approximately 43.1%of the patients with transtibial amputation surg.ry experienced wound complications,and 16.7%required additional surg.cal *** HbA1c levels and k.dney transplant history are risk.factors for postoperative wound complications.
