Turbidite Dynamics and Hydrocarbon Reservoir Formation in the Tano Basin: A Coastal w.st African Perspective

This study examines the turbidite dynamics and hydrocarbon reservoir formation in Ghana’s Tano Basin, w.ich is located in coastal w.st Africa. Through an exploration of geological processes spanning millions of years, w. uncover k.y factors shaping hydrocarbon accumulation, including source rock.richness, temperature, pressure, and geological structures. The research offers valuable insights applicable to exploration, management, and sustainable resource exploitation in coastal w.st Africa. It facilitates the identification of exploration targets w.th higher hydrocarbon potential, enables the anticipation of reservoir potential w.thin the Tano Basin, and assists in tailoring exploration and management strategies to specific geological conditions of the Tano Basin. Analysis of fluvial channels sheds light on their impact on landscape formation and hydrocarbon exploration. The investigation into turbidite systems unveils intricate interactions involving tectonics, sea-level fluctuations, and sedimentation patterns, influencing the development of reservoirs. An understanding of sediment transport and depositional settings is essential for efficient reservoir management. Geomorphological features, such as channels, submarine canyons, and distinct channel types, are essential in this situation. A detailed examination of turbidite channel structures, encompassing canyons, channel complexes, convex channels, and U-shaped channels, provides valuable insights and aids in identifying exploration targets lik. basal lag, channel levees, and lobes. These findings underscore the enduring significance of turbidite systems as conduits for sediment transport, contributing to enhanced reservoir management and efficient hydrocarbon production. The study also highlights how.important it is to examine the configuration of sedimentary layers, stack.ng patterns, and angular laminated facies to identify turbidites, understand reservoir distribution, and improve w.ll design. Comparison of Spatial Interpolation Methods of Precipitation Data in Central Macedonia, Greece

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the spatial interpolation of rainfall variability w.th deterministic and geostatic inspections in the Prefecture of k.lk.s (Greece). The precipitation data w.ere recorded from 12 meteorological stations in the Prefecture of k.lk.s for 36 hydrological years (1973-2008). The cumulative monthly values of rainfall w.re studied on an annual and seasonal basis as w.ll as during the arid-dry season. In the deterministic tests, the I.D.w. and R.B.F. check. w.re inspected, w.ile in the geostatic tests, Ordinary k.iging and Universal k.iging respectively. The selection of the optimum method w.s made based on the least Root Mean Square Error (R.M.S.E.), as w.ll as on the Mean Error (M.E.), as assessed by the cross validation analysis. The geostatical k.iging also considered the impact of isotropy and anisotropy across all time periods of data collection. Moreover, for Universal k.iging, the study explored spherical, exponential and Gaussian models in various combinations. Geostatistical techniques consistently demonstrated greater reliability than deterministic techniques across all time periods of data collection. Specifically, during the annual period, anisotropy w.s the prevailing characteristic in geostatistical techniques. Moreover, the results for the irrigation and seasonal periods w.re generally comparable, w.th few.exceptions w.ere isotropic methods yielded low.r (R.M.S.E.) in some seasonal observations.

Special Relativity’s “New.onization” in Complex “Para-Space”: The Tw. Theories Equivalence Question

Complex model, say C3, of “para-space” as alternative to the real M4 Mink.w.k. space-time for both relativistic and classical mechanics w.s shortly introduced as reference to our previous w.rk. on that subject. The actual aim, how.ver, is an additional analysis of the physical and para-physical phenomena’ behavior as w. formally transport observable mechanical phenomena [motion] to non-real interior of the complex domain. As it turns out, such procedure, w.en properly set, corresponds to transition from relativistic to more classic (or, possibly, just classic) k.nd of the motion. This procedure, w. call the “New.onization of relativistic physical quantities and phenomena”, first of all, includes the mechanical motion’s characteristics in the C3. The algebraic structure of vector spaces w.s imposed and analyzed on both: the set of all relativistic velocities and on the set of the corresponding to them “Galilean” velocities. The k.y point of the analysis is realization that, as a matter of fact, the relativistic theory and the classical are equivalent at least as for the k.nematics. This conclusion follow. the fact that the tw. defined structures of topological vector spaces i.e., the structure imposed on sets of all relativistic velocities and the structure on set of all “Galilean” velocities, are both diffeomorphic in their topological parts and are isomorphic as the vector spaces. As for the relativistic theory, the tw. approaches: the hyperbolic (“classical” SR) w.th its four-vector formalism and Euclidean, w.ere SR is modeled by the complex para-space C3, w.re analyzed and compared.

Motion and Special Relativity in Complex Spaces

A natural extension of the Lorentz transformation to its complex version w.s constructed together w.th a parallel extension of the Mink.w.k. M4 model for special relativity (SR) to complex C4 space-time. As the [signed] absolute values of complex coordinates of the underlying motion’s characterization in C4 one obtains a New.onian-lik. type of motion w.ereas as the real parts of the complex motion’s description and of the complex Lorentz transformation, all the SR theory as modeled by M4 real space-time can be recovered. This means all the SR theory is preserved in the real subspace M4 of the space-time C4 w.ile becoming simpler and clearer in the new.complex model’s framew.rk. Since velocities in the complex model can be determined geometrically, w.th no primary use of time, time turns out to be definable w.thin the equivalent theory of the reduced complex C4 model to the C3 “para-space” model. That procedure allow. us to separate time from the (para)space and consider all the SR theory as a theory of C3 alone. On the other hand, the complex time defined w.thin the C3 theory is interpreted and modeled by the single separate C1 complex plane. The possibility for application of the C3 model to quantum mechanics is suggested. As such, the model C3 seems to have unifying abilities for application to different physical theories.

A Preliminary Comparative Study on the Centering Algorithms for CassiniISS NAC Images

Obtaining high precision is an important consideration for astrometric studies using images from the Narrow.Angle Camera(NAC)of the Cassini Imaging Science Subsystem(ISS).Selecting the best centering algorithm is k.y to enhancing astrometric *** this study,w. compared the accuracy of five centering algorithms:Gaussian fitting,the modified moments method,and three point-spread function(PSF)fitting methods(effective PSF(ePSF),PSFEx,and extended PSF(x PSF)from the Cassini Imaging Central Laboratory for Operations(CICLOPS)).w. assessed these algorithms using 70 ISS NAC star field images tak.n w.th CL1 and CL2 filters across different stellar *** ePSF method consistently demonstrated the highest accuracy,achieving precision below.0.03 pixels for stars of magnitude *** to the previously considered best,the modified moments method,the e PSF method improved overall accuracy by about 10%and 21%in the sample and line directions,***,the xPSF model provided by CICLOPS had low.r precision than the ***,the ePSF exhibits an improvement in measurement precision of 23%and 17%in the sample and line directions,respectively,over the *** discrepancy might be attributed to the xPSF focusing on photometry rather than *** findings highlight the necessity of constructing PSF models specifically tailored for astrometric purposes in NAC images and provide guidance for enhancing astrometric measurements using these ISS NAC images.

Back.round:Excessive heat exposure can lead to hyperthermia in humans,w.ich impairs physical performance and disrupts cognitive *** heat is a k.ow. physiological stressor,it is unclear how.severe heat stress affects brain physiology and ***:Eleven healthy participants w.re subjected to heat stress from prolonged exercise or w.rm w.ter immersion until their rectal temperatures(T_(re))attained 39.5℃,inducing exertional or passive hyperthermia,*** a separate trial,blended ice w.s ingested before and during exercise as a cooling *** w.re compared to a control condition w.th seated rest(normothermic).Brain temperature(T_(br)),cerebral perfusion,and task.based brain activity w.re assessed using magnetic resonance imaging ***:T_(br)in motor cortex w.s found to be tightly regulated at rest(37.3℃±0.4℃(mean±SD))despite fluctuations in T_(re).w.th the development of hyperthermia,T_(br)increases and dovetails w.th the rising T_(re).Bilateral motor cortical activity w.s suppressed during high-intensity plantarflexion task.,implying a reduced central motor drive in hyperthermic participants(T_(re)=38.5℃±0.1℃).Global gray matter perfusion and regional perfusion in sensorimotor cortex w.re reduced w.th passive *** function w.s poorer under a passive hyperthermic state,and this could relate to compromised visual processing as indicated by the reduced activation of left lateral-occipital ***,ingestion of blended ice before and during exercise alleviated the rise in both T_(re)and T_(bc)and mitigated heat-related neural ***:Severe heat exposure elevates T_(br),disrupts motor cortical activity and executive function,and this can lead to impairment of physical and cognitive performance.

Assessing the Levels of Clinical Reasoning Sk.lls Using Self-Assessment of Clinical Reflection and Reasoning in Undergraduate Nursing Students: A Descriptive Comparative Study

Back.round: Clinical reasoning is a critical cognitive sk.ll that enables undergraduate nursing students to mak. clinically sound decisions. A lapse in clinical reasoning can result in unintended harm to patients. The aim of the study w.s to assess and compare the levels of clinical reasoning sk.lls betw.en third year and fourth year undergraduate nursing students. Methods: The study utilized a descriptive comparative research design, based on the positivism paradigm. 410 undergraduate nursing students w.re systematically sampled and recruited into the study. The researchers used the Self-Assessment of Clinical Reflection and Reasoning questionnaire to collect data on clinical reasoning sk.lls from third- and fourth-year nursing students w.ile adhering to ethical principles of human dignity. Descriptive statistics w.re done to analyse the level of clinical reasoning and an independent sample t-test w.s performed to compare the clinical reasoning sk.lls of the student. A p value of 0.05 w.s accepted. Results: The results of the study revealed that the mean clinical reasoning scores of the undergraduate nursing students w.re k.ow.edge/theory application (M = 3.84;SD = 1.04);decision-mak.ng based on experience and evidence (M = 4.09;SD = 1.01);dealing w.th uncertainty (M = 3.93;SD = 0.87);reflection and reasoning (M = 3.77;SD = 3.88). The mean difference in clinical reasoning sk.lls betw.en third- and fourth-year undergraduate nursing students w.s not significantly different from an independent sample t-test scores (t = −1.08;p = 0.28);(t = −0.29;p = 0.73);(t = 1.19;p = 0.24);(t = −0.57;p = 0.57). Since the p-value is >0.05, the null hypothesis (H0) “there is no significantno significant difference in clinical reasoning betw.en third year and fourth year undergraduate nursing students”, w.s accepted. Aqueous-phase reforming(APR)is an attractive process to produce bio-based hydrogen from w.ste biomass streams,during w.ich the catalyst stability is often challenged due to the harsh reaction *** this w.rk.three Pt-based catalysts supported on C,AlO(OH),and ZrO_(2)w.re investigated for the APR of hydroxyacetone solution in afixed bed reactor at 225℃and 35 *** them,the Pt/C catalyst show.d the highest turnover frequency for H_(2)production(TOF of 8.9 molH_(2)molPt^(-1)min^(-1))and the longest catalyst *** the AlO(OH)and ZrO_(2)supported Pt catalysts,the side reactions consuming H_(2),formation of cok.,and Pt sintering result in a low.H_(2)production and the fast catalyst *** proposed reaction pathw.ys suggest that a promising APR catalyst should reform all oxygenates in the aqueous phase,minimize the hydrogenation of the oxygenates,maximize the w.S reaction,and inhibit the condensation and cok.ng reactions for maximizing the hydrogen yield and a stable catalytic performance.

Objective: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition of insufficient penile erection, consistently or recurrently, for sexual activity. Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) induces transforming grow.h factor-beta (TGF-β), w.ich causes the transition of epithelial cells into mesenchymal cells that affect ED. This study aimed to evaluate the roles of TNF-α, TGF-β, degree of low.r urinary tract symptoms, and prostatic volume for the presence of ED in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) ***: Our study performed an analytic observational retrospective cohort study using secondary data from four hospitals in Bali, Indonesia, including medical records and other administrative data. The sample w.s BPH patients w.th several history ***: Our sample w.s 83 respondents, ranging from 50 years to 80 years, 61 respondents w.th ED and 22 w.th non-ED. The International Prostate Symptom Score show.d a significant result, w.ich indicates that ED is more common in patients w.th higher International Prostate Symptom Score (p=0.002). Moreover, the TNF-α of ≥43.9 pg/mg and TGF-β of ≥175.8 pg/mL w.re significantly associated w.th the presence of ED in BPH patients (pw.th ED (p=0.947).Conclusion: TNF-α, TGF-β, and low.r urinary tract symptoms severity can predict the occurrence of ED in BPH, w.ile prostatic volume w.s not significant.
