Uncertainty is an important factor that needs to b. considered while analyzing the performance of any engineering *** order to quantify uncertainty,fuzzy set theory is frequently used b. most of researchers,including energy system *** to the classical reliab.lity theory,component lifetimes have crisp parameters,b.t due to uncertainty and inaccuracy in data,it is sometimes very difficult to determine the exact values of these parameters in real-world *** overcome this difficulty in the current research,failure and repair rates were tak.n as triangular fuzzy numb.rs to determine the fuzzy availab.lity of a system undergoing calendar-b.sed periodic inspection sub.ect to multiple failure modes(FMs).It was assumed that each component in the system had an exponential failure rate and repair rate with fuzzy *** FMs were explicitly tak.n into account when a functional state of the system was *** FM had a random failure *** the occurrence of any failure,a random time was selected for the relevant corrective repair *** proposed research was studied for one of the major sources of green energy,namely a wind turb.ne system wherein all the derived propositions have b.en implemented on it.

The heat transfer through a concave permeab.e fin is analyzed b. the local thermal non-equilib.ium(LTNE) model. The governing dimensional temperature equations for the solid and fluid phases of the porous extended surface are modeled, and then are nondimensionalized b. suitab.e dimensionless terms. Further, the ob.ained nondimensional equations are solved b. the clique polynomial method(CPM). The effects of several dimensionless parameters on the fin's thermal profiles are shown b. graphical illustrations. Additionally, the current study implements deep neural structures to solve physics-governed coupled equations, and the b.st-suited hyperparameters are attained b. comparison with various network.comb.nations. The results of the CPM and physicsinformed neural network.PINN) exhib.t good agreement, signifying that b.th methods effectively solve the thermal modeling prob.em.

In the present study,we applied Tsallis non-extensive statistics to investigate the thermodynamic properties and phase diagram of quark.matter in the Polyak.v chiral SU(3)quark.mean field *** this model,the properties of the quark.matter were modified through the scalar fieldsσ,ζ,δ,χ,vector fieldsω,ρ,ϕ,and Polyak.v fieldsΦandΦ¯at finite temperature and chemical ***-extensive effects were introduced through a dimensionless parameter q,and the results were compared to those of the extensive case(q→1).In the non-extensive case,the exponential in the Fermi-Dirac(FD)function was modified to a q-exponential *** influence of the q parameter on the thermodynamic properties,pressure,energy,and entropy density,as well as trace anomaly,was *** speed of sound and specific heat with non-extensive effects were also ***,the effect of non-extensivity on the deconfinement phase transition as well as the chiral phase transition of u,d,and s quark. was *** found that the critical end point(CEP),which defines the point in the(T−μ)phase diagram where the order of the phase transition changes,shifts to a lower value of temperature,TCEP,and a higher value of chemical potential,μCEP,as the non-extensivity is increased,that is,q>1.

Traditional glob.l sensitivity analysis(GSA)neglects the epistemic uncertainties associated with the prob.b.listic characteristics(*** of distrib.tion type and its parameters)of input rock.properties emanating due to the small size of datasets while mapping the relative importance of properties to the model *** paper proposes an augmented b.yesian multi-model inference(b.MI)coupled with GSA methodology(b.MI-GSA)to address this issue b. estimating the imprecision in the momentindependent sensitivity indices of rock.structures arising from the small size of input *** methodology employs b.MI to quantify the epistemic uncertainties associated with model type and parameters of input *** estimated uncertainties are propagated in estimating imprecision in moment-independent b.rgonovo’s indices b. employing a reweighting approach on candidate prob.b.listic *** proposed methodology is showcased for a rock.slope prone to stress-controlled failure in the Himalayan region of *** proposed methodology was superior to the conventional GSA(neglects all epistemic uncertainties)and b.yesian coupled GSA(b.GSA)(neglects model uncertainty)due to its capab.lity to incorporate the uncertainties in b.th model type and parameters of *** b.rgonovo’s indices estimated via proposed methodology provide the confidence intervals of the sensitivity indices instead of their fixed-point estimates,which mak.s the user more informed in the data collection *** performed with the varying sample sizes suggested that the uncertainties in sensitivity indices reduce significantly with the increasing sample *** accurate importance rank.ng of properties was only possib.e via samples of large ***,the impact of the prior k.owledge in terms of prior ranges and distrib.tions was significant;hence,any related assumption should b. made carefully.

Pollution of rivers is mainly caused b. anthropogenic activities such as discharge of effluent from industrial facilities,maintenance of sewage/effluent treatment plants,and dumping of solid waste on river *** study dealt with the pollution issues of the Cooum River in the well-k.own city of Chennai in South *** samples from 27 locations were collected and analyzed for 12 elements,including b.,b.and Al,as well as heavy metals such as Pb.Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni,Cu,Zn,and *** samples showed levels of these elements that exceeded World Health Organization *** correlation analysis revealed the inter-dependency among elements,and the contrib.tion of each element b.sed on factor loadings showed its percentage contrib.tion compared to *** samples from six significant locations were chosen for remediation with three algae:Chlorella vulgaris,Scenedesmus dimorphus,and Phormedium *** uptak. of pollutants led to the continuous growth of algae during the incub.tion period of 15 d,effectively removing heavy metals from the river *** increasing levels of algal counts and the chlorophyll a content confirmed the algal growth during the incub.tion period,followed b. a declining stage after the incub.tion *** scanning electron microscopic images of algae b.fore and after the remediation showed no remark.b.e modification of morphological *** study showed that the uptak. of heavy metals using algae is an effective water pollution remediation measure,mak.ng the process practicab.e in the field on a large scale in the near future.
