Vaccination against Coronavirus disease-19(COVID-19)was pivotal to limit spread,morbidity and *** aim is to find out whether vaccines against COVID-19 lead to an immunological response stimulating the production of de novo donor specific antibodies(DSAs)or increase in mean fluorescence intensity(MFI)of pre-existing DSAs in kidney transplant recipients(kTRs).This study involved a detailed literature search through December 2nd,2023 using PubMed as the primary *** search strategy incorporated a combination of relevant Medical Subject Headings terms and keywords:"COVID-19","SARS-CoV-2 Vaccination","kidney,Renal Transplant",and"Donor specific antibodies".The results from related studies were collated and analyzed.A total of 6 studies were identified,encompassing 460 kTRs vaccinated against *** responses were detected in 8 kTRs of which 5 had increased MFIs,1 had de novo DSA,and 2 were categorized as either having de novo DSA or increased *** were 48 kTRs with pre-existing DSAs prior to vaccination,but one study(Massa et al)did not report whether pre-existing DSAs were associated with post vaccination *** the remaining 5 studies,35 kTRs with pre-existing DSAs were identified of which 7 kTRs(20%)developed de novo DSAs or increased ***,no immunological response was detected in 452(98.3%)*** study affirms prior reports that COVID-19 vaccination is safe for kTRs,especially if there are no pre-existing ***,if kTRs have pre-existing DSAs,then an increased immunological risk may be *** findings need to be taken cautiously as they are based on a limited number of patients so further studies are still needed for confirmation.

Simulation of Crack Pattern Formation Due to Shrinkage in a Drying Material

Crack patterns observed in nature have attracted the interest of researchers in various fields, and the mechanism of the pattern formation has been investigated. However, the phenomenon is very complicated, and many factors affect the process. Therefore, we are motivated to construct a general simulation code with a simple algorithm. In this study, crack pattern formation due to shrinkage caused by the drying of a wet material was simulated. The process was simplified as follows: tensile force is generated in the model, and a crack is generated when the tension exceeds a critical value. The tensile forces in the x and y directions are independently evaluated. A crack propagates perpendicular to the tension until it reaches another crack or a boundary. Based on this modeling, simulations with a two-dimensional square domain were performed. Consequently, a cross-divided pattern was generated. Assuming zigzag crack propagation, more realistic patterns were obtained. The effects of the boundary and domain size were also considered, and various characteristic patterns were obtained. Furthermore, the orientation dependency was simulated, and 45˚ declined patterns and rectangularly divided patterns were generated. The model presented in this study is very simplified and is expected to be applicable to various objects.

We have measured the cross section for π^＋π^- production in two-photon collisions using a data sample with an integrated luminosity of 85.9 fb^-1 collected with the Belle detector. The f0（980） resonance is observed as a peak in the energy spectrum of the cross section. We also report preliminary results for γγ→ π^0π^0 with two-photon center-of-mass energies ranging from 0.6 to 4.0 GeV, based on a 95 fb-1 data sample. We find at least four resonant structures including a peak from f0（980）. In addition, there is evidence for Xc0 production. We also make a preliminary discussion of the angular dependence and cross section ratio of γγ →π^＋π^- and γγ→π^oπ^o.

Algorithms used in data mining and bioinformatics have to deal with huge amount of data efficiently. In many applications, the data are supposed to have explicit or implicit structures. To develop efficient algorithms for such data, we have to propose possible structure models and test if the models are feasible. Hence, it is important to make a compact model for structured data, and enumerate all instances efficiently. There are few graph classes besides trees that can be used for a model. In this paper, we investigate distance-hereditary graphs. This class of graphs consists of isometric graphs and hence contains trees and cographs. First, a canonical and compact tree representation of the class is proposed. The tree representation can be constructed in linear time by using prefix trees. Usually, prefix trees are used to maintain a set of strings. In our algorithm, the prefix trees are used to maintain the neighborhood of vertices, which is a new approach unlike the lexicographically breadth-first search used in other studies. Based on the canonical tree representation, efficient algorithms for the distance-hereditary graphs are proposed, including linear time algorithms for graph recognition and graph isomorphism and an efficient enumeration algorithm. An efficient coding for the tree representation is also presented; it requires [3.59n] bits for a distance-hereditary graph of n vertices and 3n bits for a cograph. The results of coding improve previously known upper bounds （both are 2^O（nlogn）） of the number of distance-hereditary graphs and cographs to 2^[3.59n] and 2^3n, respectively.
