Digital fabrication techniques,in recent decades,have provided the basis of a sustainable revolution in the construction ***,selecting the digital fabrication method in terms of manufacturability and functionality requirements is a complex *** paper presents alternatives and criteria for selection of digital fabrication techniques by adopting the multi-criteria decision-making *** alternatives considered in the study are concrete three-dimensional(3D)printing,shotcrete,smart dynamic casting,material intrusion,mesh molding,injection concrete 3D printing,and thin forming *** criteria include formwork utilization,reinforcement incorporation,geometrical complexity,material enhancement,assembly complexity,surface finish,and build *** demonstrates different multi-criteria decision-making techniques,with both subjective and objective weighting *** given ranking is based on the current condition of digital fabrication in the construction *** study reveals that in the selection of digital fabrication techniques,the criteria including reinforcement incorporation,build area,and geometrical complexity play a pivotal role,collectively accounting for nearly 70% of the overall *** the evaluated techniques,concrete 3D printing emerged as the best performer,however the shotcrete and mesh molding techniques in the second and third positions.

Awake off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery in 25 patients

Methods Between October 2002 to April 2003 twenty five cases underwent beating heart coronary artery revascularization without endotracheal general anesthesia using high thoracic epidural anesthesia and analgesia. All the patients underwent epidural catheterization on the evening before the surgery. Resuits The patients in all received 71 grafts (single n = 11 double n = 5 triple n = 6 quadruple n = 3). Six patients underwent repeat coronary artery bypass. Except one was converted to general anesthesia and cardiopulmonary bypass the other patients underwent off-pump coronary artery bypass graft surgery 2 patients underwent grafting via left thoracotomy (MIDCAB) and the rest through mid sternotomy. There was no mortality. Mean length of stay in the intensive care unit was 16 .2 ( 4.2 hours and hospital was 3.0(1.2 days. Conclusions Our experience confirms the feasibility of performing multiple coronary artery bypasses in conscious patients without endotracheal general anesthesia

Türkiye is located in a seismically active region,where the Anatolian,African,and Arabian tectonic plates *** seismic hazards cause the region to be struck repeatedly by major *** February 06,2023,a devastating M_(W)7.7 earthquake struck Türkiye at 01:17 am local time(01:17 UTC).In this regard,near and far-field ground motion data within the distance of 120 km are compiled and later characterized to identify the key ground motion intensity ***,the vertical components of ground motions were examined to capture the complete three-dimensional nature of the seismic ***,the effect of Pulse-Like(PL)and Non-Pulse-Like(NPL)ground motion on a representative RC frame structure built as per the Türkiye code was *** results indicate that PL behavior was observed in both horizontal and vertical components of ground motions and PL behavior were noted both near the epicenter and at higher distances from the ***,the ratio of the peak vertical acceleration to peak horizontal acceleration at certain stations was found to be close to ***,the non-linear time history analysis of the representative reinforced concrete frame structure for ground motions recorded at stations located equidistant from the epicenter,indicated that PL ground motions led to more significant damage compared to NPL ground motions.

目的　了解在高位胸段硬膜外麻醉下避免全麻行非体外循环心脏跳动下冠状动脉搭桥手术的可行性。方法　硬膜外麻醉下对 2 5例清醒病人行非体外循环心脏跳动下冠状动脉搭桥手术 ,没有气管插管全麻 ,所有病人在手术前晚行硬膜外置管。结果　总共搭桥 71支 (1支 11例 ,2支 5例 ,3支 6例 ,4支 3例 )。除 1例因为术中出现室颤转为全麻和体外循环外 ,2 4例在硬外麻作为唯一麻醉下完成非体外循环心脏跳动下冠状动脉搭桥手术。除 2例行左胸小切口外其余行正中切口 ;其中 6例为再次手术 ;平均每例搭桥2 8支 ,没有手术死亡。术后在复苏室和病房住院时间分别为 (16 2± 4 2 )h和 (3 2 4± 1 2 )d。结论　本组的早期经验提示在没有气管插管全麻。

Tolerance charting is an effective tool to determine the optimal allocation of working dimensions and working tolerances such that the blueprint dimensions and tolerances can be achieved to accomplish the cost *** selection of machining datum and allocation of tolerances are critical in any machining process planning as they directly affect any setup methods/machine tools selection and machining *** paper mainly focuses on the selection of optimum machining datums and machining tolerances simultaneously in process planning.A dynamic tolerance charting constraint scheme is developed and implemented in the optimization *** optimization model is formulated for selecting machining datum and tolerances and implemented with an algorithm namely Elitist Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm（NSGA-II）.The computational results indicate that the proposed methodology is capable and robust in finding the optimal machining datum set and tolerances.

Unreinforced masonry(URM)made with soft bricks comprises a large percentage of the building stock in devel-oping ***,the poor performance of URM piers during earthquakes has led to renewed interest in understanding their behavior under lateral *** experimental data is available on the seismic response,analysis,and design of URMs made of soft *** this study,the micro-modeling technique is used to simulate the in-plane behavior of load-bearing,soft-brick URM *** parameters required in the constitutive models are obtained from material tests and used to develop a calibrated numerical model of the URM *** with various aspect ratios subjected to various axial stresses are numerically modeled to obtain monotonic and cyclic responses,and their critical displacement limit states are *** in the failure modes of masonry piers with variations in the aspect ratio and axial stress are ***-bearing piers exhibit three distinct failure modes:bed sliding,diagonal shear cracking,and flexure,depending on the aspect ratio and axial *** seismic fragility of each pier failure type is examined using nonlinear time history *** results show that bed-sliding piers collapse at extremely low PGA *** failing through diagonal shear cracking also fail at low PGA *** piers can resist seismic forces up to a slightly higher PGA level and thus are the last to *** results also indicate that the effect of uncertainty in ground motions is more significant than the effect of variability in the masonry pier capacities.

This paper discusses the applicability of relevance vector machine(RVM)based regression to predict the compressive strength of various self compacting concrete(SCC)*** strength data various SCC mixes has been consolidated by considering the effect of water cement ratio,water binder ratio and steel *** vector machine(RVM)is a machine learning technique that uses Bayesian inference to obtain parsimonious solutions for regression and *** RVM has an identical functional form to the support vector machine,but provides probabilistic classification and *** is based on a Bayesian formulation of a linear model with an appropriate prior that results in a sparse *** strength model has been developed by using MATLAB software for training and *** 75%of the data has been used for development of model and 30%of the data is used for *** predicted compressive strength for SCC mixes is found to be in very good agreement with those of the corresponding experimental observations available in the literature.
