BACKGROUND The classification of uterine sarcomas is based on distinctive morphological and immunophenotypic characteristics,increasingly supported by molecular genetic *** on neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase(NTRK)gene fusionpositive uterine sarcoma,potentially aggressive and morphologically similar to fibrosarcoma,are limited due to its recent ***-TRK immunohistochemistry(IHC)analysis serves as an effective screening tool with high sensitivity and specificity for NTRK-fusion *** SUMMARY We report a case of a malignant mesenchymal tumor originating from the uterine cervix,which was pan-TRK IHC-positive but lacked NTRK gene fusions,accompanied by a brief literature review.A 55-year-old woman presented to the emergency department with abdominal pain and distension,exhibiting significant ascites and multiple solid pelvic *** examination revealed a tumor encompassing the uterine cervix,extending to the vagina and uterine corpus.A punch biopsy of the cervix indicated NTRK sarcoma with positive immunochemical pan-TRK ***,subsequent next generation sequencing revealed no NTRK gene fusion,leading to a diagnosis of poorly differentiated,advanced-stage *** The clinical significance of NTRK gene fusion lies in potential treatment with TRK inhibitors for positive *** such rare tumors is crucial due to the potential applicability of tropomyosin receptor kinase inhibitor treatment.

An on-line full scan inspection system is developed for particle size analysis. A particle image is first obtained through optical line scan technology and is then analyzed using digital image processing. The system is composed of a particle separation module, an image acquisition module, an image processing module, and an electric control module. Experiments are carried out using non-uniform 0.1 mm particles. The main advantage of this system consists of a full analysis of particles without any overlap or miss, thus improving the Area Scan Charge Coupled Device （CCD） acquisition problems. Particle size distribution, roundness, and sphericity can be obtained using the system with a deviation of repeated precision of around ±1%. The developed system is shown to be also convenient and versatile for any particle size and shape for academic and industrial users.

Dominant gain-of-function alleles of Arabidopsis phytochrome B were recently shown to confer lightindependent, constitutive photomorphogenic （cop） phenotypes to transgenic plants （Su and Lagarias, 2007）. In the present study, comparative transcription profiling experiments were performed to assess whether the pattern of gene expression regulated by these alleles accurately reflects the process of photomorphogenesis in wild-type Arabidopsis. Whole- genome transcription profiles of dark-grown phyAphyB seedlings expressing the Y^276H mutant of phyB （YHB） revealed that YHB reprograms about 13% of the Arabidopsis transcriptome in a light-independent manner. The YHB-regulated transcriptome proved qualitatively similar to but quantitatively greater than those of wild-type seedlings grown under 15 or 50 μmol m^-2 m^-1 continuous red light （Rc）. Among the 2977 genes statistically significant two-fold （SSTF） regulated by YHB in the absence of light include those encoding components of the photosynthetic apparatus, tetrapyrrole/pigment biosynthetic pathways, and early light-responsive signaling factors. Approximately 80% of genes SSTF regulated by Rc were also YHB-regulated. Expression of a notable subset of 346 YHB-regulated genes proved to be strongly attenuated by Rc, indicating compensating regulation by phyC-E and/or other Rc-dependent processes. Since the majority of these 346 genes are regulated by the circadian clock, these results suggest that phyA- and phyB-independent light signaling pathway（s） strongly influence clock output. Together with the unique plastid morphology of dark-grown YHB seedlings, these analyses indicate that the YHB mutant induces constitutive photomorphogenesis via faithful reconstruction of phyB signaling pathways in a light-independent fashion.

Enhanced mechanical properties of LPSOp/Mg composites using super high pressure treatment

The super high pressure（SHP） technique was employed to fabricate the magnesium matrix composites（MMCs） reinforced with long-period stacking order structure powder（LPSOp） by cubic-anvil large-volume press with six rams. The LPSOp was optimized through high energy ball milling（HEBM） with a chemical composition of Mg85Zn6Y9（at%）. The microstructure and mechanical properties of LPSOp/Mg composite was characterized by X-ray diffraction（XRD）, scanning electron microscopy/transmission electron microscopy（SEM/EDS）, transmission electron microscopy（TEM）, microhardness and compressive tests. The microhardness of LPSOp exhibits a notable increase after HEBM, and the thermal stability of LPSOp is affirmed through elevated annealing. The SHPed LPSOp/Mg consists of Mg and LPSO phase. Upon annealing at 400℃ for 1 h, the LPSO phase precipitates from solid solution of Mg and W phase is also identified. The strength of composites by SHP treatment and subsequently annealing is significantly improved compared with the pure Mg without LPSOp, which demonstrates the maximum compression yield strength（CYS） of 250 MPa and ultimate compression strength（UCS） of 375 MPa with satisfactory ductility. The enhanced mechanical properties are attributed to the synergistic reinforcement effects of the dispersed and 3D skeletal structure of LPSOp with excellent interfacial bonding, the coexistence of nano-scale LPSO and W phase and partial solid solution strengthening.

The growth behavior containing deposit morphology, growth rate, activation energy, and growth mechanism of copper on silicon substrate, especially at the initial stage, in the electroless plating process was studied. Copper was deposited on the surface of the silicon substrate in an electloless plating bath containing formalin （CH2O 37vol%） as a reducing agent at a pH value of 12.5 and a temperature of 50-75℃. The copper deposit was characterized using a field emission scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope. The results showed that after the activation process, nanoscale Pd particles were distributed evenly on the surface of the silicon; in the deposition process, copper first nucleated at locations not only near the Pd particles but also between the Pd particles; the growth rate of electroless Cu ranged from 0.517 nm/s at 50℃ to 1.929 nm/s at 75℃. The activation energy of electroless Cu on Si was 52.97 kJ/mol.

Precision-based drug delivery via remote triggering is fast becoming an attractive therapeutic design and is highly useful in complicated clinical situations that may require accurate site-delivery of drug while reducing the risk of collateral damage to surrounding healthy *** the many strategies available to achieve these desirable effects,silica/gold nano-assemblies offers a practical means to achieving these ***,as a proof-of-concept,a silica nanocapsule passivated with a gold outer nanoshell had been fabricated to deliver Doxorubicin,and this nano-assembly can be remotely triggered via two-photon excitation(TPE),even under in vivo setting.A polyethylene glycol(PEG)layer as well as AS1411 DNA aptamer had also been grafted to the surface to improve homing specificity toward MDA-MB-231 breast cancer *** assembly of silica/gold nanocapsules was characterized via TEM,FTIR,and UVVis to validate the the *** TPE irradiation,a higher expression level of Annexin V and Caspase-3 was observed in both in vitro and in vivo animal models.A significant reduction in tumor size on mice model was noticed after 21 days,and these results had suggested a viable nano-sized design serving as remotely triggered drug release platform based on current well-established silica nanoparticulate methodologies.

Characteristics of High Speed Electro-thermal Jet Activated by Pulsed DC Discharge

Experimental study of synthetic jet produced by pulsed direct current （DC） discharge is presented. High velocity jet is acti- vated electro-thermally by high frequency pulsed DC discharge in small cavity. A cavity of 2.38 mm diameter cylinder bounded by circular electrode is made in a ceramic plate and a small orifice of 1.78 mm diameter is drilled in the middle of cavity. High frequency pulsed DC discharge instantaneously heats air in the cavity and produces high velocity jet at the exit of the orifice. Schlieren imaging at high framing rate of 100 kHz reveals the presence of supersonic precursor shock followed by the jet emerg- ing from the orifice. The jet velocity reaches as high as about 300 m/s. Jet with smaller cavity volume produces lesser effect and jet velocity reaches maximum at certain cavity volume with given discharge current and orifice size. As duty time of pulse increases from 5 to 20 μs at fixed frequency of 5 kHz, the jet velocity also increases and becomes nearly constant with further increase in duty time. At fixed duty time of 20 μs, higher frequency pulsing of 10 kHz produces degradation of the jet as the discharge pulse continues. The jet developed in this study is demonstrated to be strong enough to penetrate deep into supersonic boundary layer and to produce a bow shock when the jet is issued into Mach 3 supersonic flow.
