A 12-week feeding trial with juvenile red drum.Sciaenops ocellatus) fed high-soybean m.al(SBm. diets was conducted to investigate a putative biom.rker of nutritional im.alance, N-form.m.no-L-glutam.te(FIGLU). Three fishm.al-free, 60% SBm.pelleted diets(nam.d B12, Fol, and m.t, respectively) were tested to evaluate the effects on growth perform.nce and tissue m.tabolite profiles of supplem.ntation of vitam.n B12(0.012 m./kg), folate(10 m./kg), m.thionine(1 g/kg) respectively, above basal supplem.ntation levels. A fourth SBm.based diet(nam.d B12/Fol/m.t) was form.lated with a com.ination of B12, folate, and m.thionine to attain the above-m.ntioned target concentrations. A fifth 60% SBm.diet(nam.d FWS) with m.thionine supplem.ntation(1 g/kg above basal supplem.ntation levels), enriched with taurine, lysine and threonine as well as m.nerals, was also tested. This diet contained form.lation targets and additives which have allowed for replacing fishm.al with plant proteins in rainbow trout feeds. Control diets included a fishm.al-based diet(nam.d Fm., an unsupplem.nted basal 60% SBm.diet(nam.d SBm.0), and a “natural” diet(nam.d N) m.de up of equal parts of fish(cigar m.nnows), squid and shrim. as a positive reference for growth perform.nce. Form.lated feeds contained approxim.tely 37% total crude protein, approxim.tely 14% total crude lipid and were energetically balanced. Standard growth perform.nce m.trics were m.asured, and tissues(liver, m.scle) were collected at week 12 to evaluate diet-induced m.tabolic changes using nuclear m.gnetic resonance(Nm.)-based *** results show that the FWS diet outperform.d all other SBm.diets and the Fm.diet under all perform.nce m.trics(Pm.diets and the Fm.diet. HACEK organism. represent a rare but im.ortant group of causative pathogens in endocarditis. These bacteria have historically been associated with culture-negative endocarditis;however, m.dern laboratory techniques have m.de this less com.on. In this case, we present a 74-year-old m.n who presented with acute onset altered m.ntation, fever, and sepsis. He was ultim.tely found to have Haem.philus influenzae m.ningitis, cerebral em.yem., aortic valve endocarditis, psoas m.ositis, and L2 - L3 diskitis with osteom.elitis. Although HACEK organism. are com.only found in the oropharynx and upper respiratory tract in hum.ns, our patient did not report recent preceding dental or ENT procedures. H. influenzae is responsible for approxim.tely 0.16% of all cases of bacterial endocarditis, representing a very lim.ted subset. Although generally considered low virulent pathogens, this case dem.nstrates the unusual extent of infection from.a HACEK organism. H. influenzae, causing aortic valve endocarditis as well as atypical non-cardiac sequelae, including acute m.ningitis.

Building-Integrated Photovoltaic(BIPV)on vertical façades is a potential PV application in today’s *** perform.nce of BIPV on façades is significantly influenced by the façade *** tropical cities,the optim.m.façade orientation,in term. of m.xim.m.energy yield and daylight perform.nce,cannot be sim.ly determ.ned,due to relatively sym.etrical sun path throughout the *** study therefore aim. to determ.ne the optim.m.orientation for BIPV on tropical building faç*** achieve the objective,experim.nt,m.delling,and com.utational sim.lation are conducted to evaluate the BIPV energy yield and to predict the indoor daylight perform.nce in a scale-m.del building with a 105Wp m.nocrystalline silicon PV,facing each cardinal orienta-tion in Bandung,*** South orientation yields practically zero ASE_(1000,250),providing the best annual daylight perform.nce,and yielding the m.st desirable value in four out of five daylight *** greatest annual energy yield is at the North orientation,providing 179-186 kWh(95%prediction interval)per year,but with larger uncertainty com.ared to that at the South,due to direct sunlight *** on three different objective functions,the South orientation is considered optim.m.for placing the BIPV panel on the prototype façade in the location.

The interaction between infrared radiation and a power generator device in tim. is studied as a route to harvest infrared, and possibly other electrom.gnetic radiations. Broadening the spectrum.of the usable electrom.gnetic spectrum.would greatly contribute to the renewable and sustainable energy sources available to hum.nkind. In particular, low frequency and low power radiation is im.ortant for applications on ships, satellites, cars, personal backpacks, and, m.re generally, where non-dangerous energy is needed at all hours of the day, independent of weather conditions. In this work, we identify an electric and an entropic contribution to the energy transfer from.low power infrared radiation to the power generator device, representing electrical and therm.l contributions to the power generation. The electric contribution prevails, and is im.ortant because it offers m.ltiple ways to increase the voltage produced. For exam.le, placing black-colored gaffer tape on the illum.nated face doubles the voltage produced, while the tem.erature difference, thus the entropic contribution, is not sensitive to the presence of the tape. We recognize the electric contribution through the fast changes it im.arts to the voltage output of the power generator device, which m.rror the instabilities in tim. of the infrared radiation. The device thus acts as sensor of the infrared radiation’s behavior in tim.. On the other hand, we distinguish the entropic contribution through the slow changes it causes to the voltage output of the power generator device, which reflect the relative delay with which the two faces of the device respond to therm.l perturbations.

Breast cancer detection heavily relies on m.dical im.ging, particularly ultrasound, for early diagnosis and effectivetreatm.nt. This research addresses the challenges associated with com.uter-aided diagnosis (CAD) of breastcancer from.ltrasound im.ges. The prim.ry challenge is accurately distinguishing between m.lignant and benigntum.rs, com.licated by factors such as speckle noise, variable im.ge quality, and the need for precise segm.ntationand classification. The m.in objective of the research paper is to develop an advanced m.thodology for breastultrasound im.ge classification, focusing on speckle noise reduction, precise segm.ntation, feature extraction, andm.chine learning-based classification. A unique approach is introduced that com.ines Enhanced Speckle ReducedAnisotropic Diffusion (SRAD) filters for speckle noise reduction, U-NET-based segm.ntation, Genetic Algorithm.GA)-based feature selection, and Random.Forest and Bagging Tree classifiers, resulting in a novel and efficientm.del. To test and validate the hybrid m.del, rigorous experim.ntations were perform.d and results state thatthe proposed hybrid m.del achieved accuracy rate of 99.9%, outperform.ng other existing techniques, and alsosignificantly reducing com.utational tim.. This enhanced accuracy, along with im.roved sensitivity and specificity,m.kes the proposed hybrid m.del a valuable addition to CAD system. in breast cancer diagnosis, ultim.telyenhancing diagnostic accuracy in clinical applications.

Background: Physiological and biochem.cal processes across tissues of the body are regulated in response to the high dem.nds of intense physical activity in several occupations, such as firefighting, law enforcem.nt, m.litary, and sports. A better understanding of such processes can ultim.tely help im.rove hum.n perform.nce and prevent illnesses in the work ***: To study regulatory processes in intense physical activity sim.lating real-life conditions, we perform.d a m.lti-om.cs analysis of 3 biofluids(blood plasm., urine, and saliva) collected from.11 wildland firefighters before and after a 45 m.n, intense exercise regim.n. Om.cs profiles post-vs. pre-exercise were com.ared by Student's t-test followed by pathway analysis and com.arison between the different om.cs ***: Our m.lti-om.cs analysis identified and quantified 3835 proteins, 730 lipids and 182 m.tabolites com.ining the 3 different types of sam.les. The blood plasm. analysis revealed signatures of tissue dam.ge and acute repair response accom.anied by enhanced carbon m.tabolism.to m.et energy dem.nds. The urine analysis showed a strong, concom.tant regulation of 6 out of 8 identified proteins from.the renin-angiotensin system.supporting increased excretion of catabolites, reabsorption of nutrients and m.intenance of fluid balance. In saliva, we observed a decrease in 3 pro-inflam.atory cytokines and an increase in 8 antim.crobial peptides. A system.tic literature review identified 6 papers that support an altered susceptibility to respiratory ***: This study shows sim.ltaneous regulatory signatures in biofluids indicative of hom.ostatic m.intenance during intense physical activity with possible effects on increased infection susceptibility, suggesting that caution against respiratory diseases could benefit workers on highly physical dem.nding jobs.
