To address the scale variance and uneven distribution of objects in scenarios of object-counting tasks,an algorithm called Refinement Network(RefNet) is *** proposed top-down scheme sequentially aggregates multiscale features,which are laterally connected with low-level *** by a multiresolution density regression loss,a set of intermediate-density maps are estimated on each scale in a multiscale feature pyramid,and the detailed information of the density map is gradually added through coarse-to-fine granular refinement progress to predict the final density *** evaluate our RefNet on three crowd-counting benchmark datasets,namely,ShanghaiTech,UCFC0,and UCSD,and our method achieves competitive performances on the mean absolute error and root mean squared error compared to the state-of-the-art *** further extend our RefNet to cell counting,illustrating its effectiveness on relative counting tasks.

CO_(2)capture and storage(CCS)has the risk of CO_(2)leakage,and this leakage always increases soil CO_(2)concentration,and the long-term CO_(2)stress damages crop production in *** maize,the growth characteristics,such as plant height and yield,and physiological indexes(osmoregulation substances and antioxidant enzymes)were explored under different simulative CO_(2)leakage ***,the relationship between maize physiological indexes and soil CO_(2)concentration was analyzed,showing that soil CO_(2)stress inhibited maize growth to a certain extent,resulting in shorter plants,thinner stems and lower kernel *** an increase in soil CO_(2)concentration,the contents of malondialdehyde,soluble sugar and soluble protein in maize leaves increased;with continuing stress,the increase rate of malondialdehyde was greatly augmented,whereas the increase rates of soluble sugar and soluble protein *** extended CO_(2)stress,the activity of the enzyme superoxide dismutase(SOD)increased continuously,while the activities of catalase and peroxidase first increased and then *** dismutase activity was closely correlated with soil CO_(2)concentration(r=0.762),and responded quickly to the change of soil CO_(2)concentration(R~2=0.9951).Therefore,SOD plays an important role in maize resistance to soil CO_(2)*** study will help further understanding of the mechanism of maize tolerance to soil CO_(2)stress,providing a theoretical basis for agricultural production in CCS project areas.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of thorascopic administration of ginseng polysaccharides(GPS)plus dendritic cells(DC) on T helper cell type 1/T helper cell type 2(Th1/Th2) balance in patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).METHODS: A total of 96 NSCLC patients were divided evenly into two groups. The control group was treated with DCs alone and the treatment group was treated with DCs plus GPS. After DCs and GPS were administered thoracoscopically, once a week,4 times for 30 days, the patients' quality of life was measured with the Functional Assessment of Can-cer Treatment-Lung(FACT-L) questionnaire before and after treatment. Serum interferon-γ(INF-γ), interleukin-4(IL-4), IL-2 and IL-5 were examined before and after ***: The level of Th1 cytokines(INF-γ, IL-2)and the ratio of Th1/Th2 cytokines(INF-γ/IL-4, IL-2/IL-5) increased in both treatment groups, while Th2cytokines(IL-4, IL-5) and FACT-L scores decreased(P<0.01). Furthermore, after treatment Th1 cytokines(INF-γ, IL-2) and the ratio of Th1/Th2 cytokines(INF-γ/IL-4, IL-2/IL-5) were higher in the DCs +GPS group than in the control group(P<0.05). Conversely, FACT-L scores and Th2 cytokines(IL-4, IL-5)were higher in the control group than in the DCs +GPS group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION: The treatment regime of DCs plus GPS had a greater effect on NSCLC patients' immune function as compared with DCs alone. This was evident by increased expression of Th1 cytokines(INF-γ, IL-2) and the ratio of Th1/Th2(INF-γ/IL-4, IL-2/IL-5), as well as by decreased FACT-L scores and the expression of Th2 cytokines(IL-4,IL-5).

Recently,the substance P(SP)/neurokinin-1 receptor(NK-1R)system has been found to be involved in various human pathophysiological disorders including the symptoms of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Besides,studies in the oncological field have demonstrated an intricate correlation between the upregulation of NK-1R and the activation of SP/NK-1R system with the progression of multiple carcinoma types and poor clinical *** findings indicate that the modulation of SP/NK-1R system with NK-1R antagonists can be a potential broad-spectrum antitumor *** review updates the latest potential and applications of NK-1R antagonists in the treatment of human diseases and cancers,as well as the underlying ***,the strategies to improve the bioavailability and efficacy of NK-1R antagonist drugs are summarized,such as solid dispersion systems,nanonization,and *** a radiopharmaceutical therapeutic,the NK-1R antagonist aprepitant was originally developed as radioligand receptor to target NK-1R-overexpressing ***,combining NK-1R antagonists with other drugs can produce a synergistic effect,thereby enhancing the therapeutic effect,alleviating the symptoms,and improving patients’quality of life in several diseases and cancers.

A series of novel 2-hydrazinyl-4-morpholinothieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine derivatives was designed and *** of them were screened for their cytotoxic activities against large cell lung cancer（H460）,colon cancer （HT-29） and adenocarcinomic lung cancer（A549） cell lines in *** pharmacological results indicate that most of the target compounds show moderate to significant *** compound 17 exhibits the most potent antitumor activities against H460,HT-29 and A549 cell lines with IC50 values of 0.57,0.45 and 1.45 μmol/L,respectively.

Design, Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Novel Benzothiazole Derivatives Bearing Semicarbazone Moiety as Antitumor Agents

A series of novel benzothiazole derivatives bearing semicarbazone as a linker was designed and synthe- sized, and their in vitro antitumor activities were evaluated against four cancer cell lines（HT29, H460, A549 and MDA-MB-231）. Most of them showed moderate to excellent activity against all the tested cell lines. Among them, compounds 12a--12i with fluoro-substituted benzyl-1H-indole moiety displayed more potent activity than those with phenyl moiety. The most promising compound 12d exhibited excellent antitumor activity with IC50 values of 0.015, 0.28, 1.53 and 0.68 ***/L against the four tested cell lines respectively.

The composite bucket foundation (CBF) is a new kind of foundation which has been applied in the offshore wind industry. A reasonable connection pattern between the tower and the CBF top cover is crucial for load transmissions from the superstructure. Therefore, it is essential to choose an optimum structure type for the transition section. The line type and the arc transition section models were established by ABAQUS, and the internal forces of cross section were extracted along the height direction. Specifically, the force transfer mechanism for different types of the transition sections was investigated comparatively with monotonic as well as composite loadings. The results show that the curved transition structure exhibits the better mechanical characteristics under the monotonic and composite loadings, and the reason can be illustrated that its specific arc-shape structure can effectively convert the tremendous bending moment from the turbine tower into the limited tensile and compressive stresses downwards, without the occurrence of force concentration. © 2017, Tianjin University and Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

A hybrid pharmacophore approach was used to design and synthesize a series of coumarin derivatives bearing 2-methylbiphenyl moiety, which were evaluated for their in vitro anticancer activities against four cancer cell lines(MCF-75 A549, H460 and HT29) and PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitory activities. Moreover, several compounds with excellent anticancer activities were selected to evaluate the cytotoxicities against one normal cell line(HEK-293). The most promising compound llo showed the best anticancer activities against the four tested cancer cell lines with the IC50 values of 6.45, 8.65, 6,57 and 8.13 gmol/L, respectively, and displayed weak cytotoxicity on the normal cell(HEK-293). Furthermore, screening of PD-1 /PD-L1 inhibitory activity revealed that compound llo could effectively inhibit the binding of PD-1/PD-L1, and the binding interactions of compound llo with PD-L1 protein were explored by molecular docking. All above evidences showed that compound llo might be worthy of further study as a valuable leading compound for the treatment of cancer.
