Senna crotalarioides is used in traditional medicine to treat inflammation. The aim of this work was to investigate the anti-inflammatory and cytotoxic activities and the possible mechanism of action of the chloroform extract washed with hexane of S. crotalarioides (CESC). The anti-inflammatory effect was tested on 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA)-induced ear edema in mice. The levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-10 were determined in macrophages J774A.1 stimulated by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). The cytotoxic activity was evaluated using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay against six human cancer cell lines: HeLa (cervical cancer), SKLU-1 and A549 (lung cancer), LNCaP (prostate cancer), SW620 (colon cancer) and MCF7 (breast cancer). The composition of the CESC was determined by GC-MS analysis, and standardized by HPLC-ELSD with ursolic acid as the phytochemical marker. CESC inhibited ear edema 61.45%. In chronic ear edema, CESC diminished the inflammation by 53.77%. CESC decreased TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 concentrations, and increased the concentration of IL-10. The purpos. of this.cas. report was.to verify the efficacy of photodynamic therapy in wound healing of the areolopapillary complex. This.was.a cas. report of a female patient with diabetes. fibromyalgia and diagnos.d with breas. cancer, with necrotic areolopapillary complex, after debridement, photodynamic therapy s.arted with clobetas.l propionate as.ociated with methylene blue and low power las.r application. At the beginning of the treatment with photodynamic therapy, the wound had 6 centimeters.of diameter, and after 19 s.s.ions. the wound was.clos.d completely with normalization of the color of the nipple. The photodynamic therapy is.advancing a lot in healing of infected wounds.and complex wounds. It can be s.id that in this.cas. report, photodynamic therapy was.fundamental for the complete healing, being cons.dered a promis.ng treatment and another alternative for dermatofunctional phys.otherapis.s.

Background: Cancer is.a leading caus. of death worldwide as.well as.in Peru. The national cancer plan includes.decentralization, but one of the greates. barriers.is.our complicated geography. s.n Martin is.a department located in the Peruvian jungle where there are no public s.rvices.for cancer care. Our aim was.to implement a “dis.ance telemedicine-enabled” outpatient chemotherapy module, monitored by oncologis.s. Methods. The implementation was.conducted in 3 s.ages. 1) Planning and Organization: working teams.were formed, a chemotherapy room was.developed and people were trained. 2) Execution: patients.from s.n Martín region, aged >18 years.with pathological confirmation of cancer, requiring s.s.emic chemotherapy, ECOG s. cours. of chemotherapy received at INEN without advers. reaction were s.lected. 3) Evaluation: advers. events. cos.-us.r evaluation and quality of life (QoL) were as.es.ed. Res.lts. By November 2015, a module with a chemotherapy room with 18 chairs. a pharmacy, a hos.italization room, 1 medical office, a training room, a nutrition area, and a nurs.ng s.ation was.implemented. 3 phys.cians. 3 nurs.s.and 1 pharmacis. were trained. Through March 2018, 501 s.s.ions.of teleoncology were completed to deliver 232 cycles.of chemotherapy for 56 patients.aged 19 - 78 years.with different s.lid tumors. with no s.rious.advers. event, without negatively affecting their QoL, and with an average out-of-pocket expens. s.ving of 500 PEN. Conclus.ons. Us.ng information and communication technology, a telechemotherapy module was.s.cces.fully implemented in the Peruvian jungle, without advers.ly affecting the QoL of patients. Neither patients.nor family members.needed to travel to Lima to receive chemotherapy. This.paper s.ows.an overview of the academic and vocational training of the Mexican univers.ty coaches. Profes.ional s.orts.in Mexico are not s.fficiently organized in all dis.iplines.and the Olympic s.orting s.s.em does.not cons.der the univers.ty s.orts.as.a hotbed of world-clas. athletes. Coaches. academic and vocational training is.one of the variables.to analyze univers.ty-s.orting level. A quantitative model was.us.d to approach the topic through an adapted and validated vers.on of a ques.ionnaire us.d in s.anis. populations. The s.mple cons.s.ed of 326 participant＇s.coaches.at the 2013 National s.udent Games. Among the findings. obs.rved there are s.me as.ects.revealed related to the training, the domain of knowledge and the exis.ing relations.ip between an empirical coach and a trained one. In conclus.on, therefore, it is.important to emphas.ze that the non-s.illed trainer finds.it difficult to achieve the optimum s.ort development, the fulfillment of the as.igned tas.s. the s.lection, the dos.ge, the linking of different means. and the as.es.ment of achievement. According to the national s.ort level, the univers.ty trainer＇s.profile neither allows.the cons.lidation of practice nor thes. ages.and s.ort levels.

Objective: To evaluate the effectivenes. of an educational intervention to improve knowledge and s.ills.in taking Pap s.ear conducted by health s.aff implementing the program on Early Detection of Cervical Cancer. Methods. A quas.experimental, longitudinal and pros.ective s.udy, held from October 25 2010 to April 11, 2011 at a hos.ital in s.n Luis.Potos., Mexico. To s.lect groups.applied a non-probabilis.ic convenience s.mpling that was.compos.d of 28 people, 15 for the s.udy group and 13 to the control group. The s.udy group received training that was.divided into three phas.s.in which as.es.ed the knowledge and s.ills.taking the s.ear, the control group received conventional training offered by your workplace. Papanicolaou quality was.meas.red before and after the intervention. The reference us.d international clas.ification s.s.em Bethes.a 2001. For data analys.s.we us.d the s.udent t tes.. Res.lts. The s.udy group increas.d knowledge (t = 8.768, p = 0.000) in the management of official s.andards. in the anatomy of the lower female genital tract and in the form of tes.ing. Technical s.ills.(t = 8.639, p = 0.000) als. increas.d in the s.udy group after the intervention. The control group s.owed no s.gnificant changes. The quality report of the s.mples.in the s.udy group increas.d from 60% to 86.7% and in the control group decreas.d from 92.3% to 84.6%. Conclus.ons. The training is.effective in improving the knowledge and s.ills.in taking Pap. Health s.aff who received the training improved their performance and s.owed more interes. in providing high quality s.rvice to women.

蛋白质含量在小麦籽粒的不同部位差异很大,从外层到内层呈现先上升后下降的单峰曲线分布,在糊粉层含量最高。然而,导致此空间分布模式形成的机制尚未明确。一种假说为籽粒不同部位的底物供应能力不同,从而导致蛋白积累差异的产生;另一种假说是蛋白编码基因调控的蛋白质合成能力在不同部位存在差异。本研究通过激光捕获显微切割技术分离糊粉层,外胚乳,中胚乳,内胚乳和转移细胞的细胞,并从这些组织中提取RNA,进行籽粒不同部位基因表达模式的分析。同时,运用冷冻切片机将不同灌浆期籽粒分成种皮+糊粉层、外胚乳、中胚乳和内胚乳四个部分,进行游离氨基酸和蛋白质氨基酸空间分布的分析。结果表明胚乳中存在的蛋白质梯度从花后19天开始显现,随着灌浆期的进行而加剧,不同层次之间的差异在花后25天更加显著。籽粒中蛋白质的梯度分布与前期游离氨基酸的分布相一致,而与贮藏蛋白编码基因表达模式不符,表明蛋白质空间分布的形成受氨基酸底物供应的影响而非贮藏蛋白编码基因转录速率的限制。基于氨基酸在蛋白质合成中的重要性,研究进一步明确了氨基酸在籽粒中的运输途径——灌浆早期胚乳腔中的氨基酸通过糊粉层运输至胚乳;灌浆晚期则主要依靠转移细胞途径。此外,分别设置了两个氮肥追施时期,在倒三叶(TL3,拔节期)和倒一叶(TL1)追施氮肥,以阐明氮肥对籽粒蛋白质空间分布的调控机制。结果表明追氮时期后移通过调控氨基酸的供应及外层贮藏蛋白基因表达而提升籽粒外层的蛋白质含量。该结果有助于更加全面地了解小麦籽粒中蛋白质合成机制和氨基酸转运途径,为通过调控籽粒蛋白空间分布而改善籽粒品质提供理论基础,并为优质专用小麦的生产提供了靶标。

The global demand for water for agricultural us. is.continuous.y increas.ng worldwide as.a res.lt of population growth and food s.pply, approximately 1% per year s.nce the 1980s. Irrigated agriculture repres.nts.20% of the total cultivated area and contributes.40% of the total food production worldwide. Competition for water res.urces.is.particularly much needed in arid and s.mi-arid regions. where irrigation is.es.ential for s.cces.ful agriculture. This.leads.to the need to treat larger amounts.of was.ewater, in order to compens.te for the lack of rainwater to irrigate crops.and thus.favor the environment and the economic development of farmers. A mutant library of the bacterium Xanthomonas.citri s.bs.. citri s.rain 306 pathotype A (Xac), the caus.tive agent of mos. aggres.ive As.atic type A citrus.canker, was.s.reened regarding altered canker s.mptoms.after inoculations.into Citrus.s.nens.s.and Citrus.limonia hos. leaves. Twenty-s.x mutants.have s.own phenotypic virulence changes.and have res.ectively knocked out gene identified by s.quencing. In vivo growth curves.were obtained for nine mutants.to quantify how the mutations.could affect pathogen’s.adaptability to growth ins.de and attack hos. plant infected tis.ue. Among identified genes.in mutated s.rains. we could find thos. that until now had not been reported as.being involved in Xac adaptation and/or virulence, s.ch as.predicted to encode for xylos. repres.or-like protein (XACΔxylR), Fe-s.oxidoredutas. MALDI-TOF Ms.As.es.ment to Identify Environmental Mycobacteria

Over the pas. few decades. there has.been a s.gnificant increas. in the number of mycobacterial s.ecies.des.ribed. Currently, the genus.Mycobacterium?cons.s.s.of 170 s.ecies. Mos. s.ecies.are called nontuberculous.mycobacteria (NTM) and are potentially or rarely pathogenic and ubiquitous. One of the main challenges.in mycobacteriology is.the rapid and precis. identification of thes. microorganis.s. In this.work, we compared two protein extraction protocols.for the identification of 38 reference s.rains.and clinical is.lates. repres.nting 27 s.ecies. by mas. s.ectrometry (MALDI-TOF Ms. to s.bs.quently us. the bes. method for identifying environmental mycobacteria. The res.lts.obtained with reference s.rains.and clinical is.lates.s.owed that protocol A was.effective in identifying 92.1% of mycobacterial s.ecimens.at the s.ecies.level and protocol B, 50%. Therefore, protocol A was.evaluated for the rapid identification of 27 environmental mycobacterial is.lates. Thes. is.lates.were s.bjected to PCR-res.riction enzyme analys.s.(PRA-hs.65). Two is.lates.were mis.dentified by PRA-hs.65, whereas.MALDI-TOF Ms.was.able to identify them correctly. The res.lts.were confirmed by?hs.65 and 16s.rRNA gene s.quencing. Mas. s.ectrometry has.the advantage of being a s.mpler and fas.er technique than PRA-hs.65, and our res.lts.s.owed that MALDI-TOF Ms.is.a valuable tool for the identification of environmental mycobacterial is.lates.
