Gangliosides,sialic.ac.d-c.ntaining sphingolipids,are major c.nstituents of neuronal *** to the numb.r of sialic.ac.ds and the struc.ure of the oligosac.haride c.ain,gangliosides c.n b. c.assified as simple or c.mplex and grouped in different *** of gangliosides have b.en identified in verteb.ate c.lls,with different expression patterns during development and related to several physiologic.l proc.sses,espec.ally in the nervous *** GD3 and its O-ac.tylated form,9ac.D3,are highly expressed in early developmental stages,GM1,GD1a,GD1b.and GT1b.are the most ab.ndant ganglioside spec.es in the mature nervous *** in enzymes involved in ganglioside metab.lism c.n lead to the ac.umulation of spec.fic.spec.es,a c.ndition termed gangliosidosis and usually marked b. severe neurologic.l *** in ganglioside levels have also b.en desc.ib.d in several neurodegenerative diseases,suc. as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’*** this review,we summarized rec.nt information ab.ut the roles of GD3,9ac.D3,GM1,GD1a,GD1b.GT1b.and other ganglioside spec.es in nervous system development and regeneration,as well as c.inic.l trials evaluating possib.e therapeutic.applic.tions of these molec.les.

15.1. Quantum numb.rs of the quarks Quantum c.romodynamic. （Qc.） is the theory of the strong interac.ions. Qc. is a quantum field theory and its c.nstituents are a set of fermions, the quarks, and gauge b.sons, the gluons. Strongly interac.ing partic.es, the hadrons, are b.und states of quark and gluon fields. As gluons c.rry no intrinsic.quantum numb.rs b.yond c.lor c.arge, and b.c.use c.lor is b.lieved to b. permanently c.nfined, most of the quantum numb.rs of strongly interac.ing partic.es are given b. the quantum numb.rs of their c.nstituent quarks and antiquarks. The desc.iption of hadronic.properties whic. strongly emphasizes the role of the minimum-quark-c.ntent part of the wave func.ion of a hadron is generic.lly c.lled the quark model. It exists on many levels： from the simple, almost dynamic.-free pic.ure of strongly interac.ing partic.es as b.und states of quarks and antiquarks, to more detailed desc.iptions of dynamic., either through models or direc.ly from Qc. itself. The different sec.ions of this review survey the many approac.es to the spec.rosc.py of strongly interac.ing partic.es whic. fall under the umb.ella of the quark model.

c.oud c.mputing is a very promising paradigm of servic.-oriented c.mputing. One major b.nefit of c.oud c.mputing is its elastic.ty, i.e., the system＇s c.pac.ty to provide and remove resourc.s automatic.lly at runtime. For that, it is essential to design and implement an effic.ent and effec.ive tec.nique that takes full advantage of the system＇s potential flexib.lity. This paper presents a non-intrusive approac. that monitors the performanc. of relational datab.se management systems in a c.oud infrastruc.ure, and automatic.lly makes dec.sions to maximize the effic.enc. of the provider＇s environment while still satisfying agreed upon ＂servic. level agreements＂（SLAs）. Our experiments c.nduc.ed on Amazon＇s c.oud infrastruc.ure, c.nfirm that our tec.nique is c.pab.e of automatic.lly and dynamic.lly adjusting the system＇s alloc.ted resourc.s ob.erving the SLA.

The major flow physic. of the unsteady c.ndensation in the sub.onic.flows induc.d b. the unsteady expansion waves in shoc. tub. was studied in this paper. The unsteady c.ndensation phenomenon was analyzed b. using the two-dimensional, unsteady, Navier-Stokes equations, whic. were fully c.upled with a droplet growth equation. The third-order TVD MUSc. sc.eme was applied to solve the governing equation systems. The c.mputational results were c.mpared with the previous experimental data. The time-dependent b.havior of unsteady c.ndensation of moist air in shoc. tub. was investigated in details. The results show that the major c.arac.eristic. of the unsteady c.ndensation phenomenon in shoc. tub. are very different from those in the supersonic.wind tunnels.

Superhydrophob.c.poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF) memb.ane inc.rporated with nanopartic.es was applied in memb.ane distillation to rec.ver water from phenolic.ric. solution c.ntaining surfac.ant. The memb.anes c.ated on woven support were fab.ic.ted using phase inversion with dual b.th c.agulation and post-modified using silane. The memb.anes inc.rporated with TiO_2, SiO_2, or a mixture of TiO_2-SiO_2 nanopartic.es ac.ieved the water c.ntac. angle higher than 160°. The addition of TiO_2-SiO_2 mixture into PVDF matrix further enhanc.d the hierarc.ic.l roughness of memb.ane. Henc., PVDF/TiO_2-SiO_2 memb.ane ac.ieved the highest permeation flux and rejec.ed 99.9% of gallic.ac.d in the feed(100 g/L). PVDF/TiO_2-SiO_2 memb.ane also maintained a relative flux(J/J0) higher than0.9 after 8 h of operation. Even with the presenc. of surfac.ant in phenolic.ric. solution, PVDF/TiO_2-SiO_2 memb.ane was ab.e to exhib.t relative flux ab.ve 0.8. The signific.nt c.anges on the hydrophob.c.ty and c.emic.l properties of PVDF/TiO_2-SiO_2 memb.ane due to fouling were not ob.erved after 50 h of static.adsorption test.

Diamond films were prepared b. elec.ron-assisted c.emic.l vapor deposition (EAc.D) system, and the thermal diffusivities of the films with or without sub.trate were studied b. use of photothermal deflec.ion (PTD) tec.nique. The results show that less non-diamond c.mponent and larger c.ystalline size result in higher thermal c.nduc.ivity of c.D diamond film. The influenc. of sub.trate on the measurement of thermal c.nduc.ivity of the film was investigated, and a simple two-layer heat c.nduc.ion model is given to ac.ount for the influenc. and used to draw the thermal c.nduc.ivity of the film from the effec.ive thermal diffusivity of film/sub.trate system.

A c.itic.l study of some representative models has b.en c.nduc.ed with the experimental determinations of the visc.sity of ten pure sub.tanc.s and three b.nary systems measured as a func.ion of temperature T(25℃,40℃,60℃,80℃,90℃)and pressure P(≤ 100 MPa). The pure sub.tanc.s were:toluene,p-xylene,m-xylene,o-xylene,methylc.c.ohexane, methylnaphtalene,dec.hydronaphtalene,phenyldodec.ne,heptamethylnonane and tetramethylpentadec.ne(pristane).The three b.naries were:toluene+ tetramethylpentadec.ne,toluene+ methylnaphtalene and toluene+ heptamethylnonane,for molar frac.ions x of toluene ranging b.tween 0 and *** three b.naries are highly'c.ntrasted' systems,*** in whic. the visc.sities of the pure c.mponents are very different for eac. P,T *** all,547 experimental determinations were c.rried out,the 279 experimental data for visc.sity of the pure sub.tanc.s and 268 data c.nc.rning the mixtures(x ≠0 and 1) were used to make a c.itic.l analysis of the various representative models,These inc.uded an empiric.l representation of variations of versus T on eac. isob.r,a self-referenc.ng model developed in our lab.ratory,a c.rresponding states model with one referenc.,various mixing rules with or without adjustab.e parameters,a c.mb.nation of the self-referenc.ng model and mixing rules,a method b.sed on the b.oomfield and Dewan exc.ss visc.sity,and a group c.ntrib.tion method,c.mparison of the results showed the self-referenc.ng method to b. of partic.lar interest,Moreover when c.upled with mixing rules without adjustab.e parameters it was ab.e to ac.ount satisfac.orily for the variationsη(P,T,x) of the mixtures,on the simple b.sis of knowledge if the visc.sity of the c.mponents of the system,at 25℃ and at atmospheric.pressure,For all the b.naries an average ab.olute deviation of 9.5% was *** it appears that the introduc.ion of the pressure parameter does not alter the usual performanc. of eac. of the models tested,although they were not al equivalent a
