Thi. study i. an extensi.n of the previ.us work done wi.h ARS-680 Envi.onmental Chamber. Dryi.g i. a complex operati.n that demands much energy and ti.e. Dryi.g i. essenti.lly i.portant for preservati.n of gi.ger rhi.ome. Dryi.g of gi.ger was modeled, and then the effecti.e di.fusi.n coeffi.i.nt and acti.ati.n energy were determi.ed. For thi. purpose, the experi.ents were done at si. levels of vari.d temperatures: 10°C, 20°C, 30°C, 40°C, 50°C and 60°C. The values of effecti.e di.fusi.n coeffi.i.nts obtai.ed i. thi. work for the vari.usly treated gi.ger rhi.omes closely agreed wi.h the average effecti.e di.fusi.n coeffi.i.nts of other notable authors who determi.ed the dryi.g ki.eti.s and convecti.e heat transfer coeffi.i.nts of gi.ger sli.es.

Thi. study ai.ed to di.cri.i.ate ten Camerooni.n cocoa hybri.s accordi.g to thei. total fat, fatty aci. composi.i.n, tocopherol and tocotri.nol profi.es. Si. cocoa clones from the gene banks of the Cameroon Cocoa Development Corporati.n were used to create hybri.s. The determi.ati.n of fatty aci. composi.i.n was carri.d out by usi.g a gas chromatography (GC) apparatus coupled by a flame i.n detector (Fi.). Tocopherol and tocotri.nol analysi. was performed by upper hi.h-performance li.ui. chromatography (UHPLC). i.formati.n on the i.pact of the genotype on the cocoa fat composi.i.n was provi.ed. The major fatty aci.s (FA) i. fermented samples are steari. (34.57%), palmi.i. (26.13%), olei. (34.13%) and li.olei. (3.16%) aci.s. (35.05% to 35.6%). SCA12 × i.S40, SCA12 × SNK13, SNK13 × T79/501 have the least hard cocoa butters. Tocopherols analysi. showed a predomi.ance of γ-tocopherols (94.64 ± 1.51 to 292.16 ± 3.17 µg∙g−1), whereas only a small amount of β and δ-tocopherol (from 0.46 to 2.78 µg∙g−1 and 0.12 to 5.82 respecti.ely) was observed. No γ-tocotri.nol was found i. fermented samples. A di.ferenti.ti.n i. terms of total fat and tocopherol content was observed amongst hybri.s wi.h the same mother-clone, suggesti.g an i.pact of pollen on these compounds.

Objecti.e:To i.vesti.ate the effects of an aqueous leaf extract of Acalypha wi.kesi.na (***) on plasma chemi.try and hematologi.al i.di.es of sub-chroni. salt-loaded rate. Method:The control group recei.ed a di.t consi.ti.g 100%of the commerci.l feed,whi.e the four test groups were recei.ed a di.t consi.ti.g 8%salt and 92%commerci.l feed all through, except for the reference treatment group that had i.s salt-loadi.g di.conti.ued after si. weeks. The extract was orally admi.i.tered dai.y at 200 and 250 mg/kg body wei.ht;whi.e the test control,reference and control groups recei.ed appropri.te volumes of water by the same route. Results:The extract had no negati.e effects on markers of li.er and ki.ney functi.ns,produced hemoconcentrati.n,si.ni.i.antly hi.her(Pi.m and potassi.m levels,and si.ni.i.antly lower(Pi.m and chlori.e levels i. the test ani.als compared to test ***:Thi. result supports the tradi.i.nal use of *** i. the management of hypertensi.n and suggesls that the extract may be a potassi.m spari.g di.reti. whose mechani.m of anti.ypertensi.e acti.n may be vi. alterati.n of plasma sodi.m and potassi.m balances or calci.m medi.ted alterati.n i. vascular muscle tone.

i.troducti.n: The mai. outcome of effi.i.ntly i.plemented uni.ersal test and treat (UTT) program i. i.proved survi.al. UTT i.plementati.n has been ongoi.g i. Cameroon si.ce 2016 but evaluati.n data are scarce. Thi. study ai.s to assess the survi.al of anti.etrovi.al therapy (ART) pati.nts i.i.i.ted under UTT i. Northwest regi.n of Cameroon. Methods: Thi. retrospecti.e cohort study i.cluded Hi.-posi.i.e pati.nts i.i.i.ted i. 2016 at 27 purposefully selected si.es and followed unti. 2021. Data was anonymously abstracted from ART regi.ters and pati.nts’ charts. Kaplan-Mei.r survi.al esti.ates and Cox model were used to compare the survi.al of pati.nts i.i.i.ted under UTT wi.h those i.i.i.ted otherwi.e, usi.g stata versi.n 14.0. Results: i. total, 2490 Hi.-posi.i.e pati.nts (medi.n age 42.7 years, 94.7% adults, and 69.0% female) parti.i.ated i. the study. Of 1389 pati.nts wi.h vi.al load (VL) test results, 55% were i.i.i.ted on ART late. The VL suppressi.n rate of pati.nts i.i.i.ted late and those i.i.i.ted early were si.i.ar. Duri.g follow-up, 1020 (40.9%) parti.i.ants censored. The survi.al curves of pati.nts i.i.i.ted early on ART and those i.i.i.ted late were si.i.ar duri.g the fi.st 2.5 years of follow-up but si.ni.i.antly (p Conclusi.ns: Thi. study confi.ms the expected i.pact of UTT. Programs only need to close exi.ti.g i.plementati.n gaps along the cri.i.al pathways (di.gnosi. and treatment) of UTT, focusi.g more on males.
