The ongoing transformation of electrical power systems highlights the weaknesses of the protection schemes of traditional devices because they are designed and configured according to traditional characteristics of the ***,this work proposes a new methodology to study the fault-generated high frequency transient signals in transmission lines through multiresolution *** high frequency components are determined by a new digital filtering technique based on mathematical morphology theory and a spectral energy ***,wide spectra of signals in the time–frequency domain are *** performance of this method is verified on an electrical power system modeled in ATP-Draw,where simulation and test signals are developed for different locations,fault resistances,inception angles,high frequency noises,sampling frequencies,types of faults,and shapes of the structuring *** results show the characteristics of the fault such as the traveling wave frequency,location,and starting time.

This study investigates the recent near-surface temperature trends over the Antarctic *** make use of available surface observations,ECMWF’s ERA5 and its predecessor ERA-Interim,as well as numerical simulations,allowing us to contrast different data *** use hindcast simulations performed with Polar-WRF over the Antarctic Peninsula on a nested domain configuration at 45 km(PWRF-45)and 15 km(PWRF-15)spatial resolutions for the period 1991?*** addition,we include hindcast simulations of KNMI-RACMO21P obtained from the CORDEX-Antarctica domain(~50 km)for further *** show that there is a marked windward warming trend except during *** windward warming trend is particularly notable in the autumn season and likely to be associated with the recent deepening of the Amundsen/Bellingshausen Sea low and warm advection towards the Antarctic *** the other hand,an overall summer cooling is characterized by the strengthening of the Weddell Sea low as well as an anticyclonic trend over the Amundsen Sea accompanied by northward *** persistent cooling trend observed at the Larsen Ice Shelf station is not captured by ERA-Interim,whereas hindcast simulations indicate that there is a clear pattern of windward warming and leeward ***,larger temporal correlations and lower differences exhibited by PWRF-15 illustrate the existence of the added value in the higher spatial resolution simulation.

Cacao(Theobroma cacao)is a tropical tree that produces the essential raw material for *** yields have been stagnant,land use has expanded to provide for increasing chocolate *** genomes of key parents could modernize breeding programs in the remote and under-resourced locations where cacao is *** MinION,a long read sequencer that runs off of a laptop computer,has the potential to facilitate the assembly of the complex genomes of high-yielding F1 ***,we validate the MinION’s application to heterozygous crops by creating a de novo genome assembly of a key parent in breeding programs,the clone Pound *** MinION-only assembly was 20%larger than the latest released cacao genome,with 10-fold greater contiguity,and the resolution of complex heterozygosity and repetitive *** with Illumina short reads brought the predicted completeness of our assembly to similar levels to the previously released cacao genome *** contrast to previous cacao genome projects,our assembly required only a small scientific team and limited *** sequencing and assembly methods could easily be adopted by under-resourced breeding programs,speeding crop improvement in the developing world.

AIM: To investigate the correlation between preoperative measurement in total knee arthroplasty and the prosthetic size implanted. METHODS: A prospective double-blind study of 50 arthroplasties was performed. Firstly, the reliability and correspondence between the size of said measurement and the actual implant utilized was determined. Secondly, the existing correlation between the intra- and interobserver determinations with the intraclass correlation coefficient was analyzed. RESULTS: An overall correspondence of 54%, improving up to 92% when the measured size admitted a difference of one size, was found. Good intra- and interobserver reliability with an intraclass correlation coefficient greater than 0.90(P < 0.001) was also discovered. CONCLUSION: Agreement between the preoperative measurement with standardized acetate templates and the prosthetic size implanted can be considered satisfactory. We thus conclude it is a reproducible technique.

In this paper, simulated and experimental results on the conical tank level control are presented. PI/PID controllers of integer order （IO） as well as of fractional order （FO） are studied and compared. The tuning parameters are obtained first by using root locus （RL） and Ziegler and Nichols methods, for comparison purposes. Next, particle swarm optimization （PSO） is employed to determine the optimal controllers＇ parameters using as fitness function the integral of the absolute value of tracking error （IAE）. From the experimental results it is concluded that PI/FOPI are the controllers presenting the lowest IAE indexes, whereas PID/FOPID controllers present the lowest energy consumption by the control signal.

Traditionally,food sustainability has been considered solely in the stage of agricultural ***,globalization,the expansion of the food production industry,and the emergence of supermarket chains that control the retail food market require specific significant changes in supply chains in the food sector and,therefore,we need to address the economic,social,and environmental impacts of these *** the other hand,social selling has increased rapidly in recent years,with a further boom,following current events related to the coronavirus disease(COVID-19).This explosion of social sales,where there are usually no control and regulation entities,can bring problems associated with mishandling *** this paper,we expose how Blockchain technology supports the traceability of social sales by validating the data provided by the chain participants such as digital health passports,production and transport data in the sale process;the proposed solution generates recommendations on productmanagement considering the agreements previously made by the network *** evaluate the proposed smart contracts,we useHyperledger Caliper,obtaining an average throughput of 12.6 transactions per second and an average latency of 0.3 s for the asset update *** also use a study case to evaluate the proposed project platform’s selling-transport stage using Internet of Things(IoT)sensors.
