This article examines the complex relationship between disease perception,negative emotions,and their impact on postoperative recovery in patients with perianal *** conditions not only cause physical discomfort,but also carry a significant emotional burden,often exacerbated by social ***-logical factors,including stress,anxiety,and depression,activate neuroendocrine pathways,such as the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis,disrupting the gut microbiota and leading to *** disruption can delay wound healing,prolong hospital stay,and intensify *** on the findings of Hou et al,our article highlights the critical role of illness perception and negative emotions in shaping recovery *** advocates for a holistic approach that integrates psychological support and gut microbiota modulation,to enhance healing and improve overall patient outcomes.

The family of bile acids includes a group of molecular species of acidic steroids with very peculiar physical-chemical and biological *** are synthesized by the liver from cholesterol through several complementary pathways that are controlled by mechanisms involving finetuning by the levels of certain bile acid *** their best-known role is their participation in the digestion and absorption of fat,they also play an important role in several other physiological ***,genetic abnormalities accounting for alterations in their synthesis,biotransformation and/or transport may result in severe alterations,even leading to lethal situations for which the sole therapeutic option may be liver ***,the increased levels of bile acids reached during cholestatic liver diseases are known to induce oxidative stress and apoptosis,resulting in damage to the liver parenchyma and,eventually,extrahepatic *** this occurs during pregnancy,the outcome of gestation may be *** contrast,the physical-chemical and biological properties of these compounds have been used as the bases for the development of drugs and as pharmaceutical tools for the delivery of active agents.

Objective： To examine the effect of metanol extract of Petiveria alliacea （PM） on airway inflammation in a murine model of chronic asthma. Methods： Two-month-old male BALB/c mice （n=6-8/group） were sensitized on days 0 and 14 by intraperitoneal injection of 20μg ovalbumin （OVA）. On day 25, the mice received an airway challenge with OVA （3%, w/v, in phosphate buffered saline）. PM was administered orally by oral gavage to mice at doses of 100, 200 and 400 mg/kg body weight once daily from days 18 to 23. Control mice were orally administered phosphate buffered saline （PBS） to induce a model of asthma. At the end of the test, respiratory reactivity was assayed, the total cell number, interleukin-4 （IL-4）, IL-5, IL-13, tumor necrosis factor-alpha （TNF-α） and reactive oxygen species （ROS） in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid （BALF） were determined and the levels of serum IgE, intercellular cell adhesion molecule 1 （ICAM-1） and eotoxin were measured. In addition, lung tissue was used to qualify the IL-4, IL-5, IL-13, TNF-α and transforming growth factor beta 1 （TGF-β1）. Histologic examination was performed to observe inflammatory cellular infiltration. Results： The administration of PM in comparison with the OVA-only treated group significantly attenuated the infiltration of eosinophUs and other inflammatory cells （P〈0.01）. Airway resistance （RI） in the OVA-only induced group was significantly higher than that of the PBS control group （P〈0.01） when methacholine was added. TNF-α, IgE, TGF-β1 and cytokine levels IL-4, IL-5, IL-β in the BALF decreased compared to control mice （P〈0.01 or P〈0.05）. PM treatment also inhibited the production of chemokines, eotaxin and ICAM-1 in BALF （P〈0.01）, which improved lung function. Histopathological examination revealed that the sensitized treated PM groups had significant lower in inflammatory scores similar to dexamethasone treatments and the untreated group. 30 different arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi （AMF） species, distributed in different genera such as Glomus, Acaulospora, Scutellospora, Entrophospora, Ambisporu, Kuklospora, Gigaspora, and Archeospora, have been identified in the root zone of Araucaria angustifolia, known as Brazil Pine. During our AMF survey in this ecosystem, our attention was called to the presence of many superficially growing Araucaria roots. Our hypothesis was that these roots were colonized with AMF because of the presence of AMF spores in organic material aboveground. Samples of these superficial roots and the organic substrate they were growing on were evaluated for their mycorrhizal status. DNA was extracted from the AMF-colonized superficial roots and submitted to polymerase chain reaction （PCR） amplification using the NS31-AM1 primer pair, followed by cloning and sequencing. We found that the root colonization percentages were between 31% and 52%, and the number of AMF spores in the substrate ranged from 27 to 164 spores per 50 g dry substrate. The phylogenetic analyses and tree construction using maximum parsimony （MP） and neighbor-joining （N J） methods identified 13 different species of the phylum Glomeromycota belonging to the genera Glomus, Funneliformis, Rhizophagus, Gigaspora, Acaulospora, and Archaeospora, and five isolates were identified only at the genus level. To our knowledge, this is the first report on Araucaria angustifolia with roots growing aboveground, producing runner roots that develop on dead tree trunks and organic material. The higher colonization of the aboveground roots than those commonly found in belowground Araucaria roots suggests that they may present active metabolic uptake of nutrients.

The fungus-growing ants （Tribe Attini） are a New World group of〉 200 species, all obligate symbionts with a fungus they use for food. Four attine taxa are known to be social parasites of other attines. Acromyrmex （ Pseudoatta） argentina argentina and Acromyrmex （Pseudoatta） argentina platensis （parasites of Acromyrmex lundi）, and Acromyrmex sp. （a parasite of Acromyrmex rugosus） produce no worker caste. In contrast, the recently discovered Acromyrmex insinuator （a parasite of Acromyrmex echinatior） does produce workers. Here, we describe a new species, Acromyrmex ameliae, a social parasite of Acromyrmex subterraneus subterraneus and Acromyrmex subterraneus brunneus in Minas Gerais, Brasil. Like A. insinuator, it produces workers and appears to be closely related to its hosts. Similar social parasites may be fairly common in the fungus-growing ants, but overlooked due to the close resemblance between parasite and host workers.

Anticorrosion behavior of conversion coatings obtained from unbuffered cerium salts solutions on AA6061-T6

The anticorrosive properties of cerium based conversion coatings deposited on AA6061-T6 alloy by immersion in tmbuffercd cerium chloride and cerium nitrate solutions in the presence of hydrogen peroxide were investigated and characterized by potentiodynamic po- larization （PDP） and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS） in 0.5 mol/L NaCl aqueous solution. The microstructure and chemical composition of the protective films were examined by scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDS）. It was found that the best corrosion protection was afforded by the samples treated during 600 s in cerium chloride solution at pH values ~5.5-4, showing higher amounts of cerium and polarization resistance values greater than 10 f~ m2. Moreover, an ennoblement of the corro- sion potential and decreasing of the cathodic and anodic currents were obtained compared with the cerium nitrate solutions application. This behavior was attributed to the influence of the deposition parameters such as type of the salt anion, i.e., chelating effect and chaotropic characteristics, pH fluctuations in the conversion solution and deposition time.
