Green m.croalgae,e.g.,Ulva lactuca,are valuable bioactive sources of nutrients;but algae recalcitrant cell walls,com.osed of a com.lex cross-linked m.trix of polysaccharides,can com.rom.se their utilization as feedstuffs for m.nogastric anim.ls.This study aim.d to evaluate the ability of pre-selected Carbohydrate-Active enZym.s(CAZym.s)and sulfatases to degrade U.lactuca cell walls and release nutritive com.ounds.A databank of 199 recom.inant CAZym.s and sulfatases was tested in vitro for their action towards U.lactuca cell wall polysaccharides.The enzym.s were incubated with the m.croalga,either alone or in com.ination,to release reducing sugars and decrease fluorescence intensity of Calcofluor White stained cell walls.The individual action of a polysaccharide lyase fam.ly 25(PL25),an ulvan lyase,was shown to be the m.st efficient in cell wall disruption.The ulvan lyase treatm.nt,in triplicate m.asures,prom.ted the release of 4.54 g/L(Pm.no-and oligosaccharides release of 11.4 and 11.2 m.ol/100 g of dried alga(Pm.arison to control.The ability of ulvan lyase treatm.nt to prom.te the release of nutritional com.ounds from.alga biom.ss was also evaluated.A release of som. m.nounsaturated fatty acids was observed,particularly the health beneficial 18:1c9(P0.05),proteins(P?0.861)or pigm.nts(P>0.05)was found.These results highlight the capacity of a single recom.inant ulvan lyase(PL25 fam.ly)to incom.letely disrupt U.lactuca cell walls.This enzym. could enhance the bioaccessibility of U.lactuca bioactive products with prom.sing utilization in the feed industry.

Insertion m.tations that disrupt the function of PHT4;6 （At5g44370） cause NaCI hypersensitivity of Arabidopsis seedlings that is characterized by reduced growth of the prim.ry root, enhanced lateral branching, and swelling of root tips. m.tant phenotypes were exacerbated by sucrose, but not by equiosm.lar concentrations of m.nnitol, and attenuated by low inorganic phosphate in the m.dium. Protein PHT4;6 belongs to the m.jor Facilitator Superfam.ly of perm.ases that shares significant sequence sim.larity to m.m.alian type-I Pi transporters and vesicular glutam.te transporters, and is a m.m.er of the PHT4 fam.ly of putative intracellular phosphate transporters of plants. PHT4;6 localizes to the Golgi m.m.rane and transport studies indicate that PHT4;6 facilitates the selective transport of Pi but not of chloride or inorganic anions. Phenotypic sim.larities with other m.tants displaying root swelling suggest that PHT4;6 likely functions in protein N-glycosylation and cell wall biosynthesis, which are essential for salt tolerance. Together, our results indicate that PHT4;6 transports Pi out of the Golgi lum.nal space for the re-cycling of the Pi released from.glycosylation processes.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinom.(PDAC)is one of the m.st lethal m.lignancies and is developing into the 2nd leading cause of cancer-related death.Often,the clinical and radiological presentation of PDAC m.y be m.rrored by other inflam.atory pancreatic m.sses,such as autoim.une pancreatitis(AIP)and m.ssform.ng chronic pancreatitis(m.CP),m.king its diagnosis challenging.Differentiating AIP and m.CP from.PDAC is vital due to significant therapeutic and prognostic im.lications.Current diagnostic criteria and tools allow the precise differentiation of benign from.m.lignant m.sses;however,the diagnostic accuracy is im.erfect.m.jor pancreatic resections have been perform.d in AIP cases under initial suspicion of PDAC after a diagnostic approach failed to provide an accurate diagnosis.It is not unusual that after a thorough diagnostic evaluation,the clinician is confronted with a pancreatic m.ss with uncertain diagnosis.In those cases,a re-evaluation m.st be entertained,preferably by an experienced m.ltispecialty team.including radiologists,pathologists,gastroenterologists,and surgeons,looking for disease-specific clinical,im.ging,and histological hallm.rks or collateral evidence that could favor a specific diagnosis.Our aim.is to describe current diagnostic lim.tations that hinder our ability to reach an accurate diagnosis am.ng AIP,PDAC,and m.CP and to highlight those disease-specific clinical,radiological,serological,and histological characteristics that could support the presence of any of these three disorders when facing a pancreatic m.ss with uncertain diagnosis after an initial diagnostic approach has been unsuccessful.

Despite its essential im.ortance to various spatial agriculture and environm.ntal applications,the inform.tion on actual cropland area and its geographical distribution rem.in highly uncertain over Africa am.ng rem.te-sensing products.Each of the African regions has its unique physical and environm.ntal lim.ting factors to accurate cropland m.pping,which leads to high spatial discre-pancies am.ng rem.te sensing cropland products.Since no dataset could cope with all lim.tations,m.ltiple datasets initially derived from.various rem.te sensing sensors and classification techniques m.st be integrated into a m.re accurate cropland product than individual layers.Here,in the current study,four cropland products,produced initially from.m.ltiple sensors(e.g.Landsat-8 OLI,Sentinel-2 m.I,and PROBA-V)to cover the period(2015-2017),were integrated based on their cropland m.pping accuracy to build a m.re accurate cropland layer.The four cropland layers’accuracy was assessed at Agro-ecological zones units via an inten-sive reference dataset(17,592 sam.les).The m.st accurate crop-land layer was then identified for each zone to construct the final cropland m.sk at 30 m.resolution for the nom.nal year of 2016 over Africa.As a result,the new layer was produced in higher cropland m.pping accuracy(overall accuracy=91.64%and cropland’s F-score=0.75).The layer m.pped the African cropland area as 282 m.a(9.38%of the Continent area).Com.ared to earlier crop-land synergy layers,the constructed cropland m.sk showed a considerable im.rovem.nt in its spatial resolution(30 m.instead of 250 m.,m.pping quality,and closeness to official statistics(R^(2)=0.853 and Rm.E=2.85 m.a).The final layer can be down-loaded as described under the“Data Availability Statem.nt”section.

Inflam.atory bowel disease(IBD)is a com.lex disease with variability in genetic,environm.ntal,and lifestyle factors affecting disease presentation and course.Precision m.dicine has the potential to play a crucial role in m.naging IBD by tailoring treatm.nt plans based on the heterogeneity of clinical and tem.oral variability of patients.Precision m.dicine is a population-based approach to m.naging IBD by integrating environm.ntal,genom.c,epigenom.c,transcriptom.c,proteom.c,and m.tabolom.c factors.It is a recent and rapidly developing m.dicine.The widespread adoption of precision m.dicine worldwide has the potential to result in the early detection of diseases,optim.l utilization of healthcare resources,enhanced patient outcom.s,and,ultim.tely,im.roved quality of life for individuals with IBD.Though precision m.dicine is prom.sing in term. of better quality of patient care,inadequacies exist in the ongoing research.There is discordance in study conduct,and data collection,utilization,interpretation,and analysis.This review aim. to describe the current literature on precision m.dicine,its m.ltiom.cs approach,and future directions for its application in IBD.

In particular, their solution processing is com.atible with the largescale m.nufacturing of thin-film.devices, including solar cells and light-em.tting diodes.Understanding the coordination chem.stry in precursor-solvent solution and atom.stic m.chanism. of film.form.tion is of great im.ortance for optim.zing the optoelectronic properties of the final film..Using the m.thylam.onium.lead triiodide(m.PbI_(3)) as an exam.le, we study the com.lex evolution of the m.lecular species from.the solution to the initial stage of the crystallization by using a com.ination of density functional theory(DFT) calculations and ab-initio m.lecular dynam.cs(AIm.) sim.lations. We focus on the widely em.loyed solvents Dm.O and Dm., analyze the structures and energies of the iodoplum.ate com.lexes in the form.of sim.le com.lex of [PbI_(m.L_(n)]^(2-m.)_(x) and polym.ric iodoplum.ates of([PbI_(m.L_(n)]^(2-m.)_(x). Based on the calculated form.tion enthalpies, we propose reaction schem.s of m.PbI_(3) form.tion in Dm.O, Dm. and Dm.-Dm.O binary solvent and explain the advantages of the binary solvent.We highlight the im.ortant role of NH...O hydrogen bonds in the form.tion of iodoplum.ates m.nom.rs.Our calculations indicate unbalanced reaction energies at several elem.ntary reaction steps in either Dm.(form.tion of [PbI_(4)L_(n)]^(2-) being highly favourable) or Dm.O(form.tion of [PbI_(5)L_(n)]^(3- )being retarded).m.xing a sm.ll am.unt of Dm.O in Dm. gives rise to a better balance in the energies and, therefore,potentially better equilibria in the overall crystallization process and better quality of the final perovskite film..

The effects of biotic and abiotic stresses on changes in am.no acids and polyam.ne levels in Satsum. orange （Citrus unshiu; cultivar Owari） leaves were inves- tigated. Asian citrus psyllids Diaphorina citri （Kuwayam.）（ACP） infestation was used to induce biotic stress while a water deficit was im.osed to induce abiotic stress. Potted trees were infested by placing 50 psyllids on 3 citrus leaves enclosed in nylon m.sh bags for 5 d. A parallel set of plants were kept water stressed by m.intaining the soil at 20% water holding capacity for 5 d. Levels of total free am.no acids were higher in water stressed and ACP infested leaves. Polyam.ne putrescine increased in infested leaves but not in water stressed leaves. Proline was the m.st abundant am.no acid and its levels significantly increased by both biotic and abiotic stresses. Proline levels in infested leaves were significantly higher than the water stressed leaves. Histidine, m.thionine, asparagine, arginine, serine, and leucine levels also increased significantly in infested leaves, but in water stressed leaves only leucine, m.thionine, and threonine increased. Levels of am.no acids, such as tyrosine, isoleucine, phenylalanine, glutam.c acid, and alanine, declined in infested leaves. Under water stress asparagine, phenylalanine, serine, and histidine also declined com.ared to controls. This indicates that while proteolysis occurred under both stresses, m.tabolic conversion of am.no acids was different under the two stresses. In ACP infested leaves som. am.no acids m.y be used as feeding m.terial and/or converted into secondary m.tabolites for defense.

Orchards have a high potential for carbon sequestration.However,little research is available on the spatial variability at catchm.nt scale and on the difference between the tree area and the lanes.We analyzed theik spatial variability of soil organic carbon stock,SOCstock at 90 cm.depth in an 8-ha catchm.nt in Southern Spain with olives on a vertic soil.Results showed higher soil organic carbon concentration,SOC,in the tree area as com.ared to the lane up to 60 cm.depth,but its im.act on SOCstock was negligible since it was com.ensated by the higher soil bulk density in the lane.SOC at different depths was correlated with that in the top 0-5 cm.The overall SOCstock of the orchard was 4.14 kg m.(-2),ranging between 1.8 and 6.0 kg m.(-2).This SOCstock is in the m.d-lower range of values reported for olive orchards,m.asured at sm.ller scale,and sim.lar to those other intensive field crops and agroforestry under com.arable rainfall conditions.The spatial variability in SOCstock was correlated to several geom.rphological variables:elevation,cum.lative upstream.area,topographic wetness index,sedim.nt transport index,and tillage erosion.Differences in SOC and SOCstock are driven by the sedim.nt redis-tribution downslope,m.inly by tillage erosion,and higher soil water availability in lower areas allowing higher biom.ss production.These topographic indexes and the correlation between SOC in the topsoil and SOCstock up to 90 cm.should be further explored in other typology of olive orchards for facilitating the m.pping of SOC_(stock).

Exergam.s can be considered a dual task because the gam.s are perform.d by a m.n-videogam. interface, requiring cognitive and m.tor functions sim.ltaneously. Although the literature has shown im.rovem.nts of cognitive and physical functions due to exergam.s, the intrinsic m.chanism. involved in these functional changes have still not been elucidated. The aim. of the present study were（1） to dem.nstrate the known biological m.chanism. of physical exercise regarding m.scle adaptation and establish a relationship with exergam.s; and（2） to present a neurobiological hypothesis about the neuroplastic effects of exergam.s on the cognitive function of institutionalized older persons. These hypotheses are discussed.
