BAcKGROUND Prevalence of.hepatocellular carcinoma(Hcc)is increasing,especially in patients with metabolic dysf.nctionassociated steatotic liver disease(MASLD).AIM To investigate rif.ximin(RIf.ef.ects on epigenetic/autophagy markers in *** Adult Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned(n=8,each)and treated f.om 5-16 wk:control[standard diet,water plus gavage with vehicle(Veh)],Hcc[high-f.t choline def.cient diet(Hf.D),diethylnitrosamine(DEN)in drinking water and Veh gavage],and RIf.Hf.D,DEN and RIf.50 mg/kg/d)gavage].Gene expression of.epigenetic/autophagy markers and circulating miRNAs were *** All Hcc and RIf.animals developed metabolic-dysf.nction associated steatohepatitis f.brosis,and cirrhosis,but three RIf.group did not develop *** animals who developed Hcc with those who did not,miR-122,miR-34a,tubulin alpha-1c(Tuba-1c),metalloproteinases-2(Mmp2),and metalloproteinases-9(Mmp9)were signif.cantly higher in the *** opposite occurred with Becn1,coactivator associated arginine methyltransf.rase-1(carm1),enhancer of.zeste homolog-2(Ezh2),autophagy-related f.ctor Lc3A/B(Map1 Lc3b),and p62/sequestosome-1(p62/SQSTM1)-*** with controls,Map1 Lc3b,Becn1 and Ezh2 were lower in Hcc and RIf.groups(Pcarm1 was lower in Hcc compared to RIf.Pc expression of.Mmp9 was higher in Hcc in relation to the control;the opposite was observed f.r p62/Sqstm1(Pf.p62/SQSTM1 protein was lower in the RIf.group compared to the control(P=0.024).There was no dif.erence among groups f.r Tuba-1c,Aldolase-B,alpha-f.toprotein,and Mmp2(P>0.05).miR-122 was higher in Hcc,and miR-34a in RIf.compared to controls(Pcc compared to RIf.and the inverse was observed f.r miR-224(Pf.erence among groups regarding miR-33a,miR-143,miR-155,miR-375 and miR-21(P>0.05).cONcLUSION RIf.might have a possible benef.cial ef.ect on preventing/delaying liver carcinogenesis throu

The development of.artif.cial intelligence(AI)and smart home technologies has driven the need f.r speech recognition-based *** demand stems f.om the quest f.r more intuitive and natural interaction between users and smart devices in their *** recognition allows users to control devices and perf.rm everyday actions through spoken commands,eliminating the need f.r physical interf.ces or touch screens and enabling specif.c tasks such as turning on or of. the light,heating,or lowering the *** purpose of.this study is to develop a speech-based classif.cation model f.r recognizing human actions in the smart *** seeks to demonstrate the ef.ectiveness and f.asibility of.using machine learning techniques in predicting categories,subcategories,and actions f.om sentences.A dataset labeled with relevant inf.rmation about categories,subcategories,and actions related to human actions in the smart home is *** methodology uses machine learning techniques implemented in Python,extracting f.atures using countVectorizer to convert sentences into numerical *** results show that the classif.cation model is able to accurately predict categories,subcategories,and actions based on sentences,with 82.99%accuracy f.r category,76.19%accuracy f.r subcategory,and 90.28%accuracy f.r *** study concludes that using machine learning techniques is ef.ective f.r recognizing and classif.ing human actions in the smart home,supporting its f.asibility in various scenarios and opening new possibilities f.r advanced natural language processing systems in the f.eld of.AI and smart homes.

Luminal acidif.cation in the epididymis is an important process f.r the regulation of.male f.rtility. Low pH and low bicarbonate concentration are among key f.ctors that keep spermatozoa in a dormant state while they mature and are stored in this organ. Although signif.cant bicarbonate reabsorption is achieved by principal cells in the proximal regions of.the epididymis, clear and narrow cells are specialized f.r net proton secretion. clear cells express very high levels of.the vacuolar proton pumping ATPase （V-ATPase） in their apical membrane and are responsible f.r the bulk of.proton secretion. In the present paper, selected aspects of.V-ATPase regulation in clear cells are described and potential pathologies associated with mutations of.some of.the V-ATPase subunits are discussed. （Asian J Androl 2007 July; 9： 476-482）

A sericin/alginate blend was successf.lly applied as a matrix f.r incorporation of.*** provided a sustained release f.rmulation,which could improve the therapeutic ef.icacy of.ibuprof.n and patient adherence to *** increased the proportion of.drug incorporated into the particles (i.e., the drug incorporation ef.iciency),with incorporation rates between 73.01%±1.70%and 94.15%±4.21%. Alginate af.ected the drug release,and the particles with the maximum alginate mass f.action tested (2.8%)showed sustained release through a dissolution mechanism,reaching equilibrium af.er about *** of.the incorporation ef.iciency and the drug release time showed the best results were f.r f.rmulations with a high alginate *** electron microscopy,f.urier transf.rm inf.ared spectroscopy,and X-ray dif.raction analysis were used f.r particle characterization to study the incorporation of.*** particle size range was 0.80±0.13to 1.08±*** size distributions of.sericin-containing particles showed a good f.t with the Gaussian model.

This work proposes a novel f.amework that enables one to compare distinct iterative procedures with known rates of.convergence, in terms of.the computational ef.ort to be employed to reach some prescribed vicinity of.the optimal solution to a given problem of.interest. An algorithm is introduced that decides between two competing algorithms, which algorithm makes the best use of.the computational resources f.r some prescribed error. Several examples are presented that illustrate the trade-of.s involved in such a choice and demonstrate that choosing an algorithm over another with a higher rate of.convergence can be perf.ctly justif.able in terms of.the overall computational ef.ort.
