Among all-solid-state batteries, rechargeable Al-ion batteries have attracted most attention because they involve threeelectron-redox reactions with high theoretic specific capacity. However, the solid Al-ion conductor electrolytes are less studied. Here, the microscopic path of Al3+-ion conduction of NASICON-type(Al0.2Zr0.8)20/19Nb(PO4)3oxide is identified by temperature-dependent neutron powder diffraction and aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy experiments.(Al0.2Zr0.8)20/19Nb(PO4)3shows a rhombohedral structure consisting of a framework of(Zr,Nb)O6octahedra sharing corners with(PO4) tetrahedra; the Al occupy trigonal antiprisms exhibiting extremely large displacement factors. This suggests a strong displacement of Al ions along the c axis of the unit cell as they diffuse across the structure by a vacancy mechanism. Negative thermal expansion behavior is also identified along a and b axes, due to folding of the framework as temperature increases.

Continuous hydrothermal synthesis was highlighted in a recent review as an enabling technology for the production of nanoparticles. In recent years, it has been shown to be a suitable reaction medium for the synthesis of a wide range of nanomaterials. Many single and complex nanomaterials such as metals, metal oxides, doped oxides, carbonates, sulfides, hydroxides, phosphates, and metal organic frameworks can be formed using continuous hydrothermal synthesis techniques. This work presents a methodology to characterize continuous hydrothermal flow systems both experimentally and numerically, and to determine the scalability of a counter current supercritical water reactor for the large scale production （〉1,000 T-year-1） of nanomaterials. Experiments were performed using a purpose-built continuous flow rig, featuring an injection loop on a metal salt feed line, which allowed the injection of a chromophoric tracer. At the system outlet, the tracer was detected using UV/Vis absorption, which could be used to measure the residence time distribution within the reactor volume. Computational fluid dynamics （CFD） calculations were also conducted using a modeled geometry to represent the experimental apparatus. The performance of the CFD model was tested against experimental data, verifying that the CFD model accurately predicted the nucleation and growth of the nanomaterials inside the reactor.

The Astrophysics Directorate of CONIDA has installed two radio spectrometer stations belonging to the e-CALLISTO network in Lima,Peru.Given their strategic location near the Equator,it is possible to observe the Sun evenly throughout the whole year.The receiver located at Pucusana,nearby the capital city of Lima,took data from October 2014 until August 2016 in the metric and decimetric bands looking for radio bursts.During this period,this e-CALLISTO detector was unique in its time-zone coverage.To asses the suitability of the sites and the performance of the antennas,we analyzed the radio ambient background and measured their radiation pattern and beamwidth.To demonstrate the capabilities of the facilities for studying solar dynamics in these radio frequencies,we have selected and analyzed typeⅢSolar Radio Bursts.The study of this kind of burst helps to understand the electron beams traversing the solar corona and the solar atmospheric density.We have characterized the most common radio bursts with the following mean values:a negative drift rate of-25.8±3.7 MHz s^(-1),a duration of 2.6±0.3 s and 35 MHz bandwidth in the frequency range of 114 to 174 MHz.In addition,for some events,it was possible to calculate a global frequency drift which on average was 0.4±0.1 MHz s^(-1).

The aim of this study was to evaluate injectable,in situ cross-linkable elastin-like recombinamers(ELRs)for osteochondral repair.Both the ELR-based hydrogel alone and the ELR-based hydrogel embedded with rabbit mesenchymal stromal cells(rMSCs)were tested for the regeneration of critical subchondral defects in 10 New Zealand rabbits.Thus,cylindrical osteochondral defects were filled with an aqueous solution of ELRs and the animals sacrificed at 4months for histological and gross evaluation of features of biomaterial performance,including integration,cellular infiltration,surrounding matrix quality and the new matrix in the defects.Although both approaches helped cartilage regeneration,the results suggest that the specific composition of the rMSC-containing hydrogel permitted adequate bone regeneration,whereas the ELR-based hydrogel alone led to an excellent regeneration of hyaline cartilage.In conclusion,the ELR cross-linker solution can be easily delivered and forms a stable well-integrated hydrogel that supports infiltration and de novo matrix synthesis.

Beijing will host the 2022 Winter Olympics,and China strengthens research on various aspects to allow their athletes to compete successfully in winter sport.Simultaneously,Government-directed initiatives aim to increase public participation in recreational winter sport.These parallel developments allow research to advance knowledge and understanding of the physiological determinants of performance and health related to winter sport.Winter sport athletes often conduct a substan-tial amount of training with high volumes of low-to-moderate exercise intensity and lower volumes of high-intensity work.Moreover,much of the training occur at low ambient temperatures and winter sport athletes have high risk of developing asthma or asthma-related conditions,such as exercise-induced bronchoconstriction.The high training volumes require optimal nutrition with increased energy and dietary protein requirement to stimulate muscle protein synthesis response in the post-exercise period.Whether higher protein intake is required in the cold should be investigated.Cross-country ski-ing is performed mostly in Northern hemisphere with a strong cultural heritage and sporting tradition.It is expected that innovative initiatives on recruitment and training during the next few years will target to enhance performance of Chinese athletes in classical endurance-based winter sport.The innovation potential coupled with resourcing and population may be substantial with the potential for China to become a significant winter sport nation.This paper discusses the physiological aspects of endurance training and performance in winter sport highlighting areas where innovation may advance in athletic performance in cold environments.In addition,to ensure sustainable development of snow sport,a quality ski patrol and rescue system is recommended for the safety of increasing mass participation.

Primary liver cancers constitute the fourth most deadly group of cancers.Their poor prognosis is due in part to the pre-existence and/or development,often during treatment,of powerful mechanisms accounting for the poor response of cancer cells to antitumor drugs.These include both impaired gene expression and the appearance of spliced variants,polymorphisms and mutations,affecting the function of genes leading to the reduction in intracellular concentrations of active agents,changes in molecular targets and survival pathways,altered tumor microenvironment and phenotypic transition.The present review summarizes available information regarding the role of germline and somatic mutations affecting drug transporters,enzymes involved in drug metabolism,organelles and signaling molecules related to liver cancer chemoresistance.A more complete picture of the actual complexity of this problem is urgently needed for carrying out further pharmacogenomic studies aimed to improve the management of patients suffering from hepatocellular carcinoma or cholangiocarcinoma.

Perovskites as host structures of cations were used in order to generate in situ active and stable catalysts for ethanol steam reforming. For this purpose,La_(1-x)Mg_xAl_(1-y)Ni_yO_3(x = 0.1; y = 0,0.1,0.2,0.3) perovskites were synthetized by the citrate method.Ni segregation is evident for a substitution level higher than 0. 2. The segregation of Ni as NiO generated species interacts with different metal-support after the reduction step. The y = 0.1 catalyst presents the highest H_2 yield value about 85% during reaction time,with low mean values of CH_4 and CO selectivities of 3.4% and 11%,respectively and a low carbon formation. The better performance of y = 0.1 catalyst could be attributed to the minor proportion of segregated phases,thus a controlled expulsion of Ni is successfully reached.

Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR)have been associated with multiple entities and several types of cancers.They can be assumed as markers of inflammatory imbalance.The objective of this study is to evaluate the NLR and PLR in Peyronie’s disease(PD)and to establish a comparison of its values in the acute and chronic stages.We recruited patients with PD from march 2018 to march 2019.The patients enrolled underwent medical and sexual history as well as a physical examination.The values of blood count of each patient were collected both in the acute and chronic stages.Wilcoxon test was used to compare the acute and chronic stage ratios.Kruskal-Wallis test was carried out to evaluate the impact of treatments on the ratios.To identify cutoff values,we used sensibility and specificity tables and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves.A total of 120 patients were enrolled.Their mean age was 55.85(range:18-77)years and the mean penile curvature was 48.43°(range:10°-100°).In the acute stage,the mean NLR was 2.35 and the mean PLR was 111.22.These ratios,in the chronic stage,were 1.57 and 100.00,respectively.Statistically significant differences between acute and stable stages for both indices were found(NLR:P<0.0001;PLR:P=0.0202).The optimal cutoff for classification in acute or stable stage was 2 for NLR and 102 for PLR.According to our results,with an ordinary blood count,we could have important indications regarding the disease stage of the patient,and consequently on the most appropriate type of therapy to choose.

We analyzed the allelic and genotypic frequencies of the glutathione-S-transferase P1 （GSTPI） rs1695 single nucleotide polymorphism （SNP） in 290 patients with multiple sclerosis （MS） and in 310 healthy controls. We found no significant association between the rs1695 variant and MS. Among MS patients, there was no relationship between the rs1695 variant and either gender, clinical type of MS or the age of onset of MS.
