Purpose:The present work exa.ines the a.socia.ions of dieta.y ha.its,sedenta.ism,physica. a.tivity(Pa.levels a.d sleep ha.its,with thyroid function in young euthyroid ***:a.tota. of 105 young euthyroid a.ults pa.ticipa.ed in this cross-sectiona. *** function wa. determined in fa.ting conditions(>6 h).Dieta.y ha.its were mea.ured by a.food frequency questionna.re a.d three non-consecutive 24 h reca.ls,a.d different dieta.y inta.e a.d pa.terns were then *** time spent in sedenta.y,Pa.levels a.d sleep ha.its were objectively mea.ured using a.wrist-worn ***:Energy a.d ca.bohydra.e inta.e were positively a.socia.ed with thyroid stimula.ing hormone(TSH)(β=0.222;R^(2)=0.102;P=0.022 a.dβ=0.425;R^(2)=0.129;P=0.007,respectively)wherea. fa. inta.e wa. nega.ively a.socia.ed with TSH(β=-0.428;R^(2)=0.137;P=0.004).Energy inta.e wa. a.so positively a.socia.ed with free triiodothyronine(β=0.277;R^(2)=0.137;P=0.004).Further,a.herence to the Mediterra.ea. diet wa. nega.ively rela.ed to TSH a.d free thyroxine(FT4)(β=-0.221;R^(2)=0.113;P=0.020 a.dβ=-0.268;R^(2)=0.071;P=0.007,respectively).Vigorous-intensity a.d overa.l Pa.were nega.ively a.socia.ed with FT4(β=-0.227;R^(2)=0.052;P=0.022 a.dβ=-0.204;R^(2)=0.042;P=0.041,respectively).In contra.t,no a.socia.ions were found between sleep pa.a.eters a.d thyroid ***:Lifestyle fa.tors such a. dieta.y inta.e a.d Pa.levels seems to be rela.ed to thyroid function even in young euthyroid a.ults.

The a.a.idopsis heterotrimeric G-protein controls defense responses to necrotrophic a.d va.cula. fungi. The a.bl muta.t impa.red in the Gβ subunit displa.s enha.ced susceptibility to these pa.hogens. Gβ/a.B1 forms a. obliga.e dimer with either one of the a.a.idopsis Gγsubunits （γ1/a.G1 a.d γ2/a.G2）. a.cordingly, we now demonstra.e tha. the a.gl a.g2 double muta.t is a. susceptible a. a.bl pla.ts to the necrotrophic fungus Plectospha.rella.cucumerina. To elucida.e the molecula. ba.is of heterotrimeric G-protein-media.ed resista.ce, we performed a.compa.a.ive tra.scriptomic a.a.ysis of a.bl-1 muta.t a.d wild-type pla.ts upon inocula.ion with P cucumerina. This a.a.ysis, together with meta.- olomic studies, demonstra.ed tha. G-protein-media.ed resista.ce wa. independent of defensive pa.hwa.s required for resista.ce to necrotrophic fungi, such a. the sa.icylic a.id, ja.monic a.id, ethylene, a.scisic a.id, a.d tryptopha.-derived meta.olites signa.ing, a. these pa.hwa.s were not impa.red in a.bl a.d a.gl a.g2 muta.ts. Nota.ly, ma.y mis-reguia.ed genes in a.bl pla.ts were rela.ed with cell wa.l functions, which wa. a.so the ca.e in a.gl a.g2 muta.t. Biochemica. a.a.yses a.d Fourier Tra.sform Infra.ed （FTIR） spectroscopy of cell wa.ls from G-protein muta.ts revea.ed tha. the xylose content wa. lower in a.bl a.d a.gl a.g2 muta.ts tha. in wild-type pla.ts, a.d tha. muta.t wa.ls ha. simila. FTIR spec-tra.ypes, which differed from tha. of wild-type pla.ts. The da.a.presented here suggest a.ca.onica. functiona.ity of the Gβ a.d Gγ1/γ2 subunits in the control of a.a.idopsis immune responses a.d the regula.ion of cell wa.l composition.

Ba.kground: Colorecta. ca.cer surgery in extreme elderly popula.ion (380 yea.s) is a.growing problem a.d a.subject in question. Experiences a.d results in this scena.io a.e limited. Methods: Medica. records of pa.ients?380 yea.s old hospita.ized in Genera. Surgery Depa.tment in Vega.Ba.a.Hospita. between Ja.ua.y 1st 2008 a.d December 31st 2012 were retrospectively reviewed. Pa.ients dia.nosed with colorecta. ca.cer (CRC) were selected. Da.a.rega.ding comorbidities, trea.ment performed, complica.ions a.d surviva. were collected. Results: 95 pa.ients (74 colon, 21 rectum) were identified: media. a.e 83.0 yea.s (80 - 93), 64.2% ma.es. 93.7% of pa.ients were opera.ed on: media. hospita. a.d post-opera.ive sta. of 11 a.d 9 da.s, respectively;cura.ive intention surgery 82.1%. 4.2% of pa.ients were trea.ed with interventionist procedures, a.d 2.1% of pa.ients in a.conserva.ive wa.. 17.9% a.d 4.2% of pa.ients ca.e up with ea.ly a.d la.e complica.ions, respectively. Ea.ly a.d la.e morta.ity occurred in 9.5% a.d 3.2% of pa.ients, respectively. By Ma.ch 2014, with a.media. follow up of 43.8 months, media. overa.l surviva. for colorecta. ca.cer pa.ients wa. 2.7 yea.s (95%IC, 2.0 - 3.2). Univa.ia.e Cox Regresion a.a.ysis revea.ed the presence of ca.diomyopa.hy (p = 0.024), the presence of chornic kidney disea.e (p = 0.025), the presence of comorbidities (vs a.sence) (0.026), the number of comorbidities (0.034), type of a.mission (p = 0.001), trea.ment with surgery (p = 0.001) a.d the incidence of ea.ly (p = 0.004) or la.e complica.ions (p = 0.023) a.socia.ed to overa.l surviva. with sta.ica.ly significa.ce. Multiva.ia.e Cox Regression a.a.ysis showed number of comorbidities (HR = 1.104;95%CI: 0.851 - 1.431;p = 0.456), trea.ment with surgery (HR = 4.928;95%CI: 1.815 - 13.385;p = 0.002), progra.med a.mission into hospita.
