Background:Physical activity(PA)is important for cancer *** of remotely delivered interventions are needed to assist in reaching under-served non-metropolitan cancer *** objective of this study was to ascertain whether wearable technology,coupled with health coaching was effective in increasing PA in breast and colorectal cancer survivors living in regional and remote areas in ***:Cancer survivors from 5 states were randomized to intervention and control *** participants were given a Fitbit Charge 2TMand received up to 6 telephone health coaching *** participants received PA print *** assessments at baseline and 12 weeks measured moderate-to-vigorous PA(MVPA),light PA,and sedentary ***:Eighty-seven participants were recruited(age=63±11 years;74(85%)female).There was a significant net improvement in MVPA of 49.8 min/week,favoring the intervention group(95%confidence interval(95%CI):13.6-86.1,p=0.007).There was also a net increase in MVPA bouts of 39.5 min/week(95%CI:11.9-67.1,p=0.005),favoring the intervention *** groups improved light PA and sedentary behavior,but there were no between-group ***:This’s the first study to demonstrate that,when compared to standard practice(i.e.,PA education),a wearable technology intervention coupled with distance-based health coaching,improves MVPA in non-metropolitan cancer *** results display promise for the use of scalable interventions using smart wearable technology in conjunction with phone-based health coaching to foster increased PA in geographically disadvantaged cancer survivors.

目的哮喘-慢性阻塞性肺疾病肺重叠症(Asthma-chronie obst ructive pulmonary disease overlap,A-CO)患者的生活质量较低,肺功能较差,病情经常加重。由于暴露于污染环境会加重其症状,增加发病率和病死率,环境管理对其至关重要。旨在通过系统性综述,寻找证据,以指导制订护理干预措施,促进ACO患者对空气质量的自我管理。方法2023年3月 ,系统检索CInAHL、Medline、Academie Search Complete .Scopus、WebofScience、Cochrane图书馆、乔安娜布里格斯研究所(JoannaBriggsInstitute,JBI)循证实践数据库,以及GoogleScholar。对纳人研究进行数据提取和综合,并对护理干预措施进行分类。采用JBI研究质量评估工具进行方法学质量评估。结果共纳入5篇来自不同国家的研究。促进ACO患者自我监控空气质量的干预措施包括:警觉性干预措施(医务人员定期巡诊、进行症状评估),监测干预措施(监测室内外诱发因素) ,教育干预措施(空气质量警报、避免接触过敏原),以及相关政策的影响,如无烟政策和改善空气质量的综合战略。尽管这些研究报告了不同的干预措施,方法质量也存在差异,但这些干预措施显示了预防患者病情恶化、尽量减少急诊就诊和住院治疗的潜力。这些关键点可作为护理干预措施的关键组成部分。结论有必要采取全面措施,让护士参与促进患者自我监控空气质量的多学科团队.提高认识、制订和实施护理干预,从而使ACO患者受益。同时,需要进--步开展研究,以扩大证据基础并完善这些干预措施。

In Silico Pipeline to Identify Tumor‑Specific Antigens for Cancer Immunotherapy Using Exome Sequencing Data

Tumor-specific antigens or neoantigens are peptides that are expressed only in cancer cells and not in healthy *** of these molecules can induce an immune response,and therefore,their use in immunotherapeutic strategies based on cancer vaccines has been extensively *** based on these approaches have been triggered by the current high-throughput DnA sequencing ***,there is no universal nor straightforward bioinformatic protocol to discover neoan-tigens using DnA sequencing ***,we propose a bioinformatic protocol to detect tumor-specific antigens associated with single nucleotide variants(SnVs)or“mutations”in tumoral *** this purpose,we used publicly available data to build our model,including exome sequencing data from colorectal cancer and healthy cells obtained from a single case,as well as frequent human leukocyte antigen(HLA)class I alleles in a specific *** data from Costa Rican Central Valley population was selected as an *** strategy included three main steps:(1)pre-processing of sequencing data;(2)variant calling analysis to detect tumor-specific SnVs in comparison with healthy tissue;and(3)prediction and characterization of peptides(protein fragments,the tumor-specific antigens)derived from the variants,in the context of their affinity with frequent alleles of the selected *** our model data,we found 28 non-silent SnVs,present in 17 genes in chromosome *** protocol yielded 23 strong binders peptides derived from the SnVs for frequent HLA class I alleles for the Costa Rican *** the analyses were performed as an example to implement the pipeline,to our knowledge,this is the first study of an in silico cancer vaccine using DnA sequencing data in the context of the HLA *** is concluded that the standardized protocol was not only able to identify neoantigens in a specific but also provides a complete pipeline for the eventual design of cancer vaccines using

The application of organic photocatalysts towards the oxidation of pollutants in water is hampered by different limitations such as their insolubility in the ***,we report that the grafting of a photoorganocatalyst into mesoporous silica materials is an ideal approach to obtain effective ***,the photocatalyst 10-phenylphenothiazine(PTH)was easily anchored into three different mesoporous silica-based materials(MSn,MSU-2 and SBA-15)with different particle sizes and pore sizes through an amide bond *** materials were characterized using IR analysis,solid-state X-ray diffraction,porosity and microscopy(SEM and TEM)techniques,showing that PTH is immobilized inside the pores of the materials and its optical properties are maintained after the *** homogeneous PTH was inactive in water media,the three photocatalytic materials were active for the degradation of ***-15-AP-PTH exhibited the highest catalytic performance towards the degradation of acetaminophen and diclofenac under solar irradiation,finding in this manner a new strategy for the decontamination of pollutants.

The Effect of Laser Ablation Pulse Width and Feed Speed on necrosis and Surface Damage of Cortical Bone

Bone cutting is of importance in orthopaedic surgery but is also challenging due to its nature of brittleness—where severe mechanical and thermal damages can be introduced easily in conventional *** machining is a new technology that can allow for complex cut geometries whilst minimising surface defects i.e.,smearing,which occur in mechanical ***,comparative studies on the influence of lasers with different pulse characteristics on necrotic damage and surface integrity have not been reported *** paper for the first time investigates the effects of laser type on the necrotic damage and surface integrity in fresh bovine cortical bone after ex-situ laser *** lasers of different pulse widths,i.e.,picosecond,nanosecond and continuous wave lasers have been investigated with different feed speeds tested to study the machining *** cutting temperature,and geometrical outputs have been measured to investigate the thermal influence on the cooling behaviour of the bone samples while high-speed imaging was used to compare the material removal mechanisms between a pulsed and continuous wave ***,an in-depth histological analysis of the subsurface has revealed that the nanosecond laser caused the largest necrotic depth,owing to the high pulse frequency limiting the dissipation of *** has also been observed that surface cracks positioned perpendicular to the trench direction were produced after machining by the picosecond laser,indicative of the photomechanical effect induced by plasma ***,the choice of laser type(i.e.,in terms of its pulse width and frequency)needs to be critically considered for appropriate application during laser osteotomy with minimum damage and improved healing.

Structural performance assessment of GFRP elastic gridshells by machine learning interpretability methods

The prediction of structural performance plays a significant role in damage assessment of glass fiber reinforcement polymer(GFRP)elastic gridshell *** learning(ML)approaches are implemented in this study,to predict maximum stress and displacement of GFRP elastic gridshell *** ML algorithms,including linear regression(LR),ridge regression(RR),support vector regression(SVR),K-nearest neighbors(Knn),decision tree(DT),random forest(RF),adaptive boosting(AdaBoost),extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost),category boosting(CatBoost),and light gradient boosting machine(LightGBM),are implemented in this *** features of structural performance considered in this study are the maximum stress as f1(x)and the maximum displacement to self-weight ratio as f2(x).A comparative study is conducted and the Catboost model presents the highest prediction ***,interpretable ML approaches,including shapely additive explanations(SHAP),partial dependence plot(PDP),and accumulated local effects(ALE),are applied to explain the *** is employed to describe the importance of each variable to structural performance both locally and *** results of sensitivity analysis(SA),feature importance of the CatBoost model and SHAP approach indicate the same parameters as the most significant variables for f1(x)and f2(x).
