Data are critically important to good decision-making. In an increasingly complex economy, conventional data collecting schemes are no longer sufficient. To deal with the challenge of maintaining its statistics relevant to the users in an ever-shifting environment, the Banco de Portugal decided to explore the largely unused statistical potential of the available micro-databases and to integrate the existing administrative and survey data, thus enhancing the basic information infrastructure while protecting confidentiality. This presentation will address the benefits and problems to be dealt with when two or more data-sources are to be integrated.

目的：炎症在血管硬化斑块的产生、发展及不稳定破裂过程中起重要作用。在进行心血管危险评估、研究时，已经注重到炎症标记物的研究，特别是对高敏感性c反应蛋白的研究，它是一种属于pentraxin蛋白家族的先天免疫识别分子及经典的急性期反应因子。最近发现：许多前瞻性研究强调高敏感性c反应蛋白是未来心血管事件发生的重要预警因子，且不依赖于LDL-C水平和Framingham评分的高低，及代谢综合征的严重程度而变化。同时高敏感性C反应蛋白不仅与急性冠脉综合征的发生相关，也为肾功能异常的患者提供了心血管危险因素的预后信息。在临床实践中，高敏感性C反应蛋白水平在超过3mg/L时则与血管疾病的高危险性相关。小结：最近美国疾病控制和预防中心和美国心脏协会均批准高敏感性C反应蛋白与血脂评估结合作为危险预测因素。越来越多的证据进一步说明高敏感性C反应蛋白可以被用做设计药物靶标和生活方式干预的检测指标，用以预防初发和周期性发做的心血管事件。

Objective: To analyze the severe cases of COVID-19 in Brazil in 2020 and compare those vaccinated and unvaccinated against influenza in invasive ventilation, admission in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and deaths. Method: Cross-sectional study with public data from the OpenDataSUS platform, regarding confirmed severe cases for COVID-19 in Brazil in the year 2020. Data were analyzed by SPSS, from the chi-square test of independence and binary logistic regression. Results: The population was 472,688 cases and 177,640 deaths, with a lethality of 37.58% in severe cases. The test of independence was highly significant in vaccinated survivors (<0.0001), and regression showed an almost twofold odds ratio for invasive ventilation, ICU admission, and death in unvaccinated cases. Conclusion: We recommend mass influenza vaccination as an adjuvant in combating the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil.

A numerical study based on direct thermal to electric energy conversion was performed in a reciprocal flow porous media burner embedded with two layers of thermoelements. The burner lean combustibility limit was sought in order to maximize global efficiency of thermal to electrical energy conversion by minimizing fuel consumption. Once the pairs of operational variables, composition and filtrational velocity of gas inlet mixture were found, the optimal length and placement of thermoelectric elements within the reactor high thermal gradients were sought to maximize the electric current, thermoelements and system overall efficiency. A two temperature-resistance model for finite time thermodynamics was developed for the thermoelectric elements energy fluxes. Results indicate a distribution of current and efficiencies that presents a maximum at different themoelements length. Maximum values for current and system efficiency obtained were 44.3 m A and 2.5%, respectively.

表面活性剂强化土壤清洗(SESW)技术被用于工业污染土壤的修复处理,土壤中元素包括碱土金属、钠、钾、钙、镁,其含量分别为2866、2036、2783和4149mg/kg,重金属砷、镉、铜、铅、镍和锌的含量分别为4019、14、35582、70、2603和261mg/kg。研究发现,使用不同的表面活性剂能够高效去除铜、镍和锌,部分清除铅、砷和镉。除砷以外,对于后三种金属,自来水比表面活性剂溶液的清除效果更好。表面活性剂的对于所有金属的平均清除率依次为67.1%(Tween 80),64.9%(Surfacpol 14104)和61.2%(Emulgin W600)。对特定金属的清除率依次为TEXAPON N-40(铜、镍、锌清除率分别是83.2%、82.8%和86.6%),Tween 80(镉,锌和铜清除率分别是85.9%,85.4%和81.5%)和Polafix CAPB(镍,锌和砷清除率分别是79%,83.2%和49.7%)。采用POLAFIX LO时去除率最低,仅为45%,远低于自来水的平均去除率50.2%。除了mezquite gum是采用0.1%溶液洗涤之外,其他污染物均采用浓度0.5%的表面活性剂溶液进行洗涤。

In this work, the synthesis of semiconducting molecular materials formed from metallo-phthalocyanines (MPcs) and bidentate amines is reported. Powder and thin-film samples of the synthesized materials, deposited by vacuum thermal evaporation, show the same intra-molecular bonds in IR-spectroscopy studies. The morphology of the deposited films was studied using scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. The optical parameters have been investigated using spectrophotometric measurements of transmittance in the wavelength range 200 - 1100 nm. The absorption spectra in the UV-Vis region for the deposited samples showed two bands, namely the Q and Soret bands. The optical band gap values of the thin films were calculated from the absorption coefficient α in the absorption region and were found to be around 1.4 - 1.6 eV. The dependence of the Tauc and Cody optical gaps on the thickness of the film was also determined.
