our previous studies have reported that activation of the NLrP3(NoD-,Lrr-and pyrin domain-containing protein 3)-inflammasome complex in ethanol-treated astrocytes and chronic alcohol-fed mice could be associated with neuroinflammation and brain *** stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles(MSC-EVs)have been shown to restore the neuroinflammatory response,along with myelin and synaptic structural alterations in the prefrontal cortex,and alleviate cognitive and memory dysfunctions induced by binge-like ethanol treatment in adolescent *** the therapeutic role of the molecules contained in mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles,the present study analyzed whether the administration of mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles isolated from adipose tissue,which inhibited the activation of the NLrP3 inflammasome,was capable of reducing hippocampal neuroinflammation in adolescent mice treated with binge *** demonstrated that the administration of mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles ameliorated the activation of the hippocampal NLrP3 inflammasome complex and other NLrs inflammasomes(e.g.,pyrin domain-containing 1,caspase recruitment domain-containing 4,and absent in melanoma 2,as well as the alterations in inflammatory genes(interleukin-1β,interleukin-18,inducible nitric oxide synthase,nuclear factor-kappa B,monocyte chemoattractant protein-1,and C–X3–C motif chemokine ligand 1)and mirNAs(mir-21a-5p,mir-146a-5p,and mir-141-5p)induced by binge-like ethanol treatment in adolescent *** analysis further revealed the involvement of mir-21a-5p and mir-146a-5p with inflammatory target genes and NoD-like receptor signaling *** together,these findings provide novel evidence of the therapeutic potential of MSC-derived EVs to ameliorate the hippocampal neuroinflammatory response associated with NLrP3 inflammasome activation induced by binge drinking in adolescence.

Plant peroxisomes are subcellular compartments involved in many biochemical pathways during the life cycle of a plant but also in the mechanism of response against adverse environmental *** organelles have an active nitro-oxidative metabolism under physiological conditions but this could be exacerbated under stress ***,peroxisomes have the capacity to proliferateand also undergo biochemical adaptations depending on the surrounding cellular *** important characteristic of peroxisomes is that they have a dynamic metabolism of reactive nitrogen and oxygen species(rNS and roS)which generates two key molecules,nitric oxide(No)and hydrogen peroxide(H2o2).These molecules can exert signaling functions by means of post-translational modifications that affect the functionality of target molecules like proteins,peptides or fatty *** review provides an overview of the endogenous metabolism of roS and rNS in peroxisomes with special emphasis on polyamine and uric acid metabolism as well as the possibility that these organelles could be a source of signal molecules involved in the functional interconnection with other subcellular compartments.

Piráis a reading comprehension dataset focused on the ocean,the Brazilian coast,and climate change,built from a collection of scientific abstracts and reports on these *** dataset represents a versatile language resource,particularly useful for testing the ability of current machine learning models to acquire expert scientific *** its potential,a detailed set of baselines has not yet been developed for Pirá.By creating these baselines,researchers can more easily utilize Piráas a resource for testing machine learning models across a wide range of question answering *** this paper,we define six benchmarks over the Pirádataset,covering closed generative question answering,machine reading comprehension,information retrieval,open question answering,answer triggering,and multiple choice question *** part of this effort,we have also produced a curated version of the original dataset,where we fixed a number of grammar issues,repetitions,and other ***,the dataset has been extended in several new directions,so as to face the aforementioned benchmarks:translation of supporting texts from English into Portuguese,classification labels for answerability,automatic paraphrases of questions and answers,and multiple choice *** results described in this paper provide several points of reference for researchers interested in exploring the challenges provided by the Pirádataset.

objective our objective was to describe the postgraduate education trajectories of family and community physicians in Brazil,where neither primary healthcare nor family and community medicine is recognised as a knowledge area for the purpose of research and postgraduate education(master’s and PhD degrees).Design An observational,exploratory study,using administrative data.A nationwide list of family and community physicians as of late November 2018 was compiled from multiple *** on the mode of specialisation was obtained from the same sources and were correlated with data on master’s and PhD degrees,obtained from the curricula vitae on the Lattes *** This study was set in *** 6238 family and community physicians(58.3%female),of whom 2795 had earned a specialist certificate(identified from the list of physicians certified by Sociedade Brasileira de Medicina de Família e Comunidade)and 3957 had completed medical residency(identified from SisCNrM,the national information system for medical residency).results A master’s degree was held by 747(12.0%)family and community physicians,and a PhD by 170(2.7%);most degrees were in collective health(47.0%and 42%,respectively).Men were more likely than women to hold a master’s degree(adjusted odds ratio(aor)1.24,95%uncertainty interval(UI)1.07-1.45)and even more likely to a hold PhD(aor 1.86,95%UI 1.35-2.59).Family and community physicians were also less likely to hold a PhD degree if their master’s degree was professional(oriented towards jobs outside academia)instead of academic(aor 0.15,95%UI 0.05-0.39)or in some area other than collective health or medicine(aor 0.41,95%UI 0.21-0.78,compared with a master’s degree in collective health).The postgraduate degree was more likely to precede specialisation for family and community physicians specialising through certification(master’s degree 39.9%,PhD 33%)than through medical residency(master’s degree 9.1%,PhD 6%).Conclusion Family and community

The proposal in Alcantud and Alo′s-Ferrer [1], where players that express their tastes according to choice rules facing a competitive situation, is further exploited here. We prove that, under lack of continuity of the choice rules it is also possible to ensure the existence of equilibrium. We shall appeal to general situations that are fulfilled by well-established models, where players have non-transitive preferences of various types.

At the second order Douglas–Kroll–Hess（DKH2） level, the B3 PW91 functional in conjunction with the relativistic all-electron basis set of valence triple zeta quality plus polarization functions are employed to compute bond lengths, dissociation energies, vertical ionization potentials, and the highest occupied molecular orbital-lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy gaps of the small iridium clusters（Irn, n≤8）. These results are compared with the experimental and theoretical data available in the literature. our results confirm the theoretical predictions made by Feng et al. about the catalytic activities of the Ir4 and Ir6 clusters. From the optimized geometries, DKH2 calculations of static electric mean dipole polarizabilities and polarizability anisotropies are also carried out. It is the first time that the polarizabilities of small iridium clusters have been studied. For n≤4, the mean dipole polarizabilities per atom present an odd–even oscillatory behavior,whereas from Ir5 to Ir8, they decrease with the cluster size increasing. The dependence of the polarizability anisotropy on the structure symmetry of the iridium cluster is verified.

Dune barrier systems represent highly sought-after coastal landscapes for tourism and urban development around the world. However, a century ago, they were considered hazardous environments due to their great dynamic nature. As a result, stabilization practices were considered necessary. The systematic introduction of fast-growing exotic trees helped stabilize the sand, making it easier for tourism urbanization to take place, but also leading to erosion processes. This paper aims to assess long-term changes in vegetation cover over a large temperate barrier in Argentina. This complex region includes urban resorts, afforestation zones, and protected areas. A GIS-based geospatial analysis was conducted using a large satellite database(> 350 images), and the future evolution of the vegetation was modeled. The results revealed two primary spatiotemporal patterns associated with a gradual expansion of vegetation cover, accompanied by a concurrent reduction in sandy areas. In 1986, the dune area comprised 75% more surface than vegetation, whereas in 2021, it represented 60% less than vegetation. Furthermore, the 2050 scenario suggests a potential 40% reduction of dunes in certain areas. It is necessary to enhance management actions aimed at maintaining dune mobility and ensuring local and regional sediment balance. Long-term management strategies must focus on restoring native plant communities and controlling invasive species, and avoiding new dune fixation initiatives based on the introduction of exotic species.
