To decide when a graph is Gromov hyperbolic is,in general,a very hard *** this paper,we solve this problem for the set of short graphs（in an informal way,a graph G is r-short if the shortcuts in the cycles of G have length less than r）：an r-short graph G is hyperbolic if and only if S9r（G）is finite,where SR（G）：=sup{L（C）：C is an R-isometric cycle in G}and we say that a cycle C is R-isometric if dC（x,y）≤dG（x,y）＋R for every x,y∈C.

Collagens are large secreted trimeric proteins making up most of the animal extracellular *** of collagen has been a focus of interest for cell biologists in recent years because collagen trimers are too large and rigid to fit into the COPII vesicles mediating transport from the endoplasmic reticulum（ER） to the Golgi. Collagen-specific mechanisms to create enlarged ER-to-Golgi transport carriers have been postulated, including cargo loading by conserved ER exit site（ERES） protein ***, we report an RNAi screening for genes involved in collagen secretion in Drosophila. In this screening, we examined distribution of GFP-tagged Collagen IV in live animals and found 88 gene hits for which the knockdown produced intracellular accumulation of Collagen IV in the fat body, the main source of matrix proteins in the larva. Among these hits, only two affected collagen secretion specifically：PH4 a EFB and Plod, encoding enzymes known to mediate posttranslational modification of collagen in the ER. Every other intracellular accumulation hit affected general secretion, consistent with the notion that secretion of collagen does not use a specific mode of vesicular transport, but the general secretory pathway. Included in our hits are many known players in the eukaryotic secretory machinery, like COPII and COPI components, SNAREs and Rab-GTPase regulators. Our further analysis of the involvement of Rab-GTPases in secretion shows that Rab1, Rab2 and Rab X3, are all required at ERES, each of them differentially affecting ERES morphology. Abolishing activity of all three by Rep knockdown, in contrast,led to uncoupling of ERES and Golgi. We additionally present a characterization of a screening hit we named trabuco（tbc）, encoding an ERES-localized TBC domain-containing Rab-GAP. Finally, we discuss the success of our screening in identifying secretory pathway genes in comparison to two previous secretion screenings in Drosophila S2 cells.

Clobenzorex is an anorexigenic drug that is widely used in Mexicofor the treatment of obesity, since it helps to reduce body weight. This drug is available as immediate release capsules. To improve compliance to treatment, it was developed a new slow release formulation. In order to establish its usefulness, oral pharmacokinetics and weight reduction of slow release and immediate release formulations of clobenzorex in obese patients were compared. Sixty patients with a BMI higher than 27 kg/m2 were included in the study. Two groups of 30 patients were formed, one of them received 30 mg immediate release formulation b.i.d. and the other group received one 60 mg slow release formulation once a day, since under this scheme these formulations are prescribed. Blood samples were obtained at selected times during the first day and once weekly during 4 weeks. After the last dose, samples were obtained at selected times during 48 h. Plasma levels were determined by HPLC-MS/MS and pharmacokinetic parameters were obtained. Reduction in Cmax due to increased tmax, as well as, increased half-life were observed with the slow release formulation in comparison with immediate release formulation. Although lower plasma levels of clobenzorex were reached with the slow release formulation, reduction of body weight was similar with both products. Based on the results, it was concluded that slow release formulation of clobenzorex is an adequate formulation of clobenzorex, since pharmacokinetics and effects observed are compatible with a once a day administration.

Remoras are commensal fish of various marine species,such as sharks,swordfishes,turtles,dolphins,manta rays and *** specimen of marlin sucker Remora osteochir was evaluated using computed tomography for skeletal digital reconstruction,digital radiology for general evaluation and bone counting,and the double contrast technique to distinguish coelomic *** radiographic images,it was possible to observe otoliths in the center of the neurocranium,to count 27 vertebrae,nine pairs of ribs,and to detect the presence of the hipural and epural bones near of the caudal *** double contrast images,it was possible to visualize the swim bladder,gills,heart,liver,stomach and *** the tomographic images and reconstructions,it was possible to identify the intercalar bones of the cephalic disc;the spine with vertebral bodies composed of neural arches and ventral ribs;and the pectoral girdle formed by posttemporal,cleithrum and scapulocoracoid *** was concluded that digital radiology and computed tomography were able to describe anatomical structures of marlin sucker *** without the need for dissection.

BACKGROUND Obesity is a risk factor for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),although obese patients with NAFLD do not always develop significant *** distribution of body fat could predict the risk of NAFLD *** To investigate the role of bioelectrical impedance-estimated visceral fat(VF)in assessing NAFLD *** In this cross-sectional study,patients with biopsy-proven NAFLD were prospectively *** patients underwent anthropometric evaluation,blood tests and bioelectrical impedance *** Between 2017 and 2020,119 patients were included[66.4%male,56 years(SD 10.7),62.2%obese,61.3%with metabolic syndrome].Sixty of them(50.4%)showed significant fibrosis(≥F2)in liver ***,VF and metabolic syndrome were associated with significant fibrosis(61 years vs 52 years,16.4 vs 13.1,73.3%vs 49.2%,respectively;P<0.001 for all).In the multivariate analysis,VF and age were independently associated with significant fibrosis(VF,OR:1.11,95%CI:1.02-1.22,P=0.02;age,OR:1.08,95%CI:1.03-1.12,P<0.01).A model including these variables showed and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUROC)of 0.75,which was not inferior to transient elastography or NAFLD fibrosis score *** developed a nomogram including age and VF for assessing significant fibrosis in routine *** VF is a surrogate marker of liver fibrosis in patients with *** impedance analysis is an inexpensive and simple method that can be combined with age to guide patient referral when other resources may be unavailable.

Computer-aided diagnosis(CAD)models exploit artificial intelligence(AI)for chest X-ray(CXR)examination to identify the presence of tuberculosis(TB)and can improve the feasibility and performance of CXR for TB screening and *** the same time,CXR interpretation is a time-consuming and subjective ***,high resemblance among the radiological patterns of TB and other lung diseases can result in ***,computer-aided diagnosis(CAD)models using machine learning(ML)and deep learning(DL)can be designed for screening TB *** this motivation,this article develops a Water Strider Optimization with Deep Transfer Learning Enabled Tuberculosis Classification(WSODTL-TBC)model on Chest X-rays(CXR).The presented WSODTL-TBC model aims to detect and classify TB on CXR ***,the WSODTL-TBC model undergoes image filtering techniques to discard the noise content and U-Net-based image ***,a pre-trained residual network with a two-dimensional convolutional neural network(2D-CNN)model is applied to extract feature *** addition,the WSO algorithm with long short-term memory(LSTM)model was employed for identifying and classifying TB,where the WSO algorithm is applied as a hyperparameter optimizer of the LSTM methodology,showing the novelty of the *** performance validation of the presented WSODTL-TBC model is carried out on the benchmark dataset,and the outcomes were investigated in many *** experimental development pointed out the betterment of the WSODTL-TBC model over existing algorithms.

The objective to this work was to evaluate the enzymatic activity in the culture of Solanum lycopersicum *** with Fusarium oxysporum after the combined application of Beauveria bassiana and plant *** lycopersicum plantlets were transplanted 15 days after the *** days after transplanting,Beauveria bassiana spores were applied at a concentration of 1×10^(7)spores mL^(−1)onto soil(along with ***(N)and ***(H)leaf extracts)where *** plants were *** days after transplanting,spores of *** strain were applied at a concentration of 1×10^(6)spores mL^(−1)to soil where *** plants were *** development of *** plants was monitored for 114 days,whereby a randomized complete block treatment design was used,the roots of the plants were crushed with liquid nitrogen,after which UV/VIS spectrophotometry was used to determine protein concentration,as well as the activity ofβ-1,3-glucanases,peroxidases(POX,EC1.***.1.7),catalase and *** treatments combining *** and *** and *** extracts,had a significant difference in enzymatic activity levels,thus contributing to better defense mechanisms and a greater protection to *** plants in the presence of *** application of *** and plant extracts to the ground mitigated damage caused by *** on *** plants.

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with a strong genetic background and is triggered by environmental *** evidence supports CD6,a lymphocyte surface receptor mostly expressed by T cells,as a putative target in ***,a humanized anti-CD6 antibody has been assayed for the treatment of certain autoimmune disorders,including ***,we present novel evidence in mice and humans for a direct involvement of CD6 in psoriasis ***,an attenuated form of imiquimod-induced psoriasis-like skin inflammation was demonstrated in CD6-deficient mice,as deduced from lower epidermal thickness and local reduced production of pro-inflammatory cytokines,namely,***,isolated CD4+CD62L+T cells from CD6-deficient mice displayed decreased in vitro T-helper type 17 ***,a statistically significant association between CD6 single-nucleotide polymorphisms(rs17824933,rs11230563 and rs12360861)and more severe forms of psoriasis was demonstrated in a cohort of 304 patients at three public hospitals from the metropolitan area of *** together,these results provide new supportive evidence of the contribution of the CD6 lymphocyte receptor in psoriasis at both experimental and clinical levels.

Intestinal pseudo-obstruction secondary to systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) is a rare syndrome described in recent decades. There are slightly over 30 published cases in the English language literature, primarily associated with renal and hematological disease activity. Its presentation and evolution are a diagnostic challenge for the clinician. We present four cases of intestinal pseudo-obstruction due to lupus in young Mexican females. One patient had a previous diagnosis of SLE and all presented with a urinary tract infection of varying degrees of severity during their evolution. We consider that recognition of the disease is of vital importance because it allows for establishing appropriate management, leading to a better prognosis and avoiding unnecessary surgery and complications.
