It is increasingly common to find alarming news related to tragic events occurring in schools around the *** able to deal with these situations without getting hurt is a task not suitable for *** general,teachers are the ones who must deal with this type of situation in addition to other daily problems that appear in any classroom that make the level of stress to which they are subjected can become *** research aims to know the current situation of teachers in a region of southeastern Spain in terms of their level of work stress,resilience,and other associated variables,for which an ex post facto quantitative approach study was *** this purpose,an ad hoc sociodemographic questionnaire,and questions based on the Teaching and Learning International Survey of the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development,the Maslach Burnout Inventory,and the Brief resilient Coping Scale were *** participating sample consisted of 470 *** main findings were that 6%of teachers had burnout(high emotional exhaustion,high cynicism,and low professional effectiveness simultaneously).resilience correlated inversely with stress,emotional exhaustion,cynicism,excessive teaching,and difficulty maintaining classroom *** conclusion,knowing the needs of teachers allows us to reflect on what kind of prevention and intervention programs are necessary to improve the well-being of teachers and thus improve the quality of education.

Squamous cell carcinoma is a type of skin cancer with abnormal proliferation of keratinocytes. Its incidence reaches approximately 20% of cases of non-melanoma skin cancer, which has increased in recent decades due to growth in life expectancy, increased sun exposure, the use of tanning beds and improved detection of this type of tumors. We present a patient who was diagnosed with a squamous cell skin carcinoma in the chest wall, treated initially with surgical resection. A few years recurred in the same place, so the patient received radiotherapy with poor response. Ultimately a new surgical approach was performed with a wide margin resection by a multidisciplinary surgical team. Multidisciplinary management in this type of procedure is important so that the long-term result is optimal for the patient.

The catalytic activity in the soot combustion is reported for a series of potassium-promoter alumina supported catalysts prepared by the sol-gel method to be used in the catalytic combustion of soot. The studied systems correspond to CeO2-Al2O3 and La2O3-Al2O3 with charges of 3 and 5 wt% of CeO2 and La2O3. Potassium impregnation is performed to reach 3 atoms of K per nm2 of the mixed oxide. The effect of the potassium incorporation increases its reducibility, decreases the surface area and forms a new type of oxygen that is stronger than the oxygen in mixed oxides with similar chemical nature. The existence of potassium oxides, K2O and oxygen responsible for the vacancies and/or lattice defects (O2−) are related to good catalytic activity. Additionally, the presence of alkali affects the structural and textural characteristics of the catalyst, promoting the catalytic activity in soot combustion.

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most frequent primary liver cancer and presents together with cirrhosis in most *** addition to commonly recognized risk factors for HCC development,such as hepatitis B virus/hepatitis C virus infection,age and alcohol/tobacco consumption,there are nutritional risk factors also related to HCC development including high intake of saturated fats derived from red meat,type of cooking(generation of heterocyclic amines)and contamination of foods with *** the contrary,protective nutritional factors include diets rich in fiber,fruits and vegetables,n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and *** the patient is being evaluated for staging and treatment of HCC,special attention should be paid to nutritional support,including proper nutritional assessment and therapy by a multidisciplinary *** must be considered that these patients usually develop HCC on top of long-lasting cirrhosis,and therefore they could present with severe *** complications should be properly addressed and considered for nutritional *** addition to traditional methods,functional testing,phase angle and computed tomography scan derived skeletal muscle index-L3 are among the most useful tools for nutritional *** therapy should be centered on providing enough energy and protein to manage the increased requirements of both cirrhosis and *** with branched-chain amino acids is also recommended as it improves response to treatment,nutritional status and survival,and finally physical exercise must be encouraged and adapted to individual needs.

Natural killer(NK)cell-mediated antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity(ADCC)through CD16 plays a critical role in antihuman immunodeficiency virus(HIV)responses.1–3 CD300a is a surface receptor highly expressed on NK cells that has the capacity to inhibit NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity in healthy donors.4 The CD300a molecule has been related to several viral infections and is able to diminish the NK cell killing of pseudorabies-infected cells through interactions with its ligands phosphatidylserine and phosphatidylethanolamine.5 In addition,CD300a expression on B and CD4+T lymphocytes is altered during HIV-1 infection,and combined antiretroviral therapy(cArT)does not restore nonpathological expression levels.5,6 However,the expression and function of CD300a on NK cells during HIV-1 infection is still *** have determined the surface expression of CD300a on different NK cell subsets and the capacity of this receptor to inhibit CD16-induced NK cell effector functions in healthy and HIV-1 infected individuals.

Colorectal cancer(CrC)is the second leading cause of cancer-related death *** five-year survival rate of CrC patients depends on the stage at diagnosis,being higher than 80%when CrC is diagnosed in the early stages but lower than 10%when CrC is diagnosed in advanced *** against specific CrC autoantigens(tumor-associated antigens(TAAs))in the sera of patients have been widely demonstrated to aid in early ***,we herein aim to identify autoantigens target of autoantibodies specific to CrC that possess a significant ability to discriminate between CrC patients and healthy individuals by means of liquid *** that end,we examined the protein content of the exosomes released by five CrC cell lines and tissue samples from CrC patients by means of immunoprecipitation coupled with mass spectrometry analysis.A total of 103 proteins were identified as potential autoantigens specific to *** bioinformatics and meta-analysis,we selected 15 proteins that are more likely to be actual CrC autoantigens in order to evaluate their role in CrC prognosis by Western blot(WB)and immunohistochemistry(IHC).We found dysregulation at the protein level for 11 of these proteins in both tissue and plasma exosome samples from patients,along with an association of nine of these proteins with CrC *** validation,all but one showed a statistically significant high diagnostic ability to distinguish CrC patients and individuals with premalignant lesions from healthy individuals,either by luminescence Halotag-based beads,or by a multiplexed biosensing platform involving the use of magnetic microcarriers as solid support modified with covalently immobilized Halotag fusion proteins constructed for CrC *** together,our results highlight the usefulness of the approach defined here to identify the TAAs specific to chronic diseases;they also demonstrate that the measurement of autoantibody levels in plasma against the TAAs identified here

The domestic cat has been used as a model to carry out comparative research in assisted reproduction, to be applied in wild cats. The efficiency in domestic cat IVM concerning the reproductive status and/or cultivation times has previously been investigated;however, the studies were carried out separately. The objective of this research was to evaluate the maturation of oocytes of domestic cats of different reproductive stages using two different in vitro culture times. The ovaries were obtained by Ooforo-Salpingo-Hysterectomy of cats that were of the following groups: 1) prepubertal, 2) follicular, 3) pregnant or 4) in anestrus. Maturation was carried out with TCM199 medium supplemented with BSA for 24 h and 48 h. On average, 29 ± 25, 20 ± 15, 17 ± 9 and 17 ± 13 oocytes/cat were recovered from the prepubertal follicular, pregnant, and anestrus stages, respectively, but did not show a significant difference (P > 0.05). Also, meiotic maturation did not show a significant difference between the different reproductive stages at 24 h and 48 h, respectively (P > 0.05). However, in the prepubertal and follicular stages, greater oocyte maturation numbers were observed at 48 h compared to 24 h (P result was not observed in the pregnant and anestrus stages (P > 0.05), indicating that the in vitro culture duration is an important factor during in vitro maturation of domestic cat oocytes.
