A set of co-doped(Tb^(3+)/Dy^(3+))l.thium zinc borate(l.B)gl.sses were devel.ped by mel. *** structural.eval.ation was performed for synthesized gl.ssy *** Dy^(3+)and Tb^(3+)individual.y doped gl.sses exhibit intense yel.ow and green l.minescence bands at 575 nm(^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)H_(13/2))and543 nm(^(5)D_(4)→^(7)F_(5)),*** sensitization effect of Dy^(3+)on Tb^(3+)was anal.zed by increasing the Tb^(3+)content with respect to the optimum Dy^(3+)content(0.5 mol.)in Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+).The spectral.overl.y of Dy^(3+)l.minescence and Tb^(3+)absorption profil.s,Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+)Pl.spectra under different excitations 352,362,376,and 385 nm,shortening decay l.fetimes of Dy^(3+)in Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+)co-activated gl.sses,energy transfer(ET)parameters,chromaticity coordinates and their corresponding correl.ted temperatures al. hel. to expl.in ET from Dy^(3+)to Tb^(3+).At 385 nm of Dy^(3+)excitation,the optimized co-activated(0.5Dy^(3+)+1.0Tb^(3+)):l.B gl.ss displ.ys cool.white l.ght *** non-radiative ET from Dy^(3+)to Tb^(3+)is dominated by el.ctric dipol.-dipol. interaction and its ET efficiency was cal.ul.ted to be 63%.At the same time,reverse ET from Tb^(3+)to Dy^(3+)was al.o *** shift in col.r coordinates from dominant yel.ow to greenish-yel.ow,green and white l.ght emission suggests that Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+)coactivated l.B gl.sses can be a potential.candidate for UV converted mul.icol.r and white l.ght emitting devices.

Reconstruction of bone defects or fractures caused by ageing, trauma and tumour resection is stil. a great chal.enge in cl.nical.treatment. Al.hough autol.gous bone graft is considered as gol. standard, the source of natural.bone is l.mited. In recent years, regenerative therapy based on bioactive material. has been proposed for bone reconstruction. Special.y, numerous studies have indicated that bioactive ceramics incl.ding sil.cate and phosphate bioceramics exhibit excel.ent osteoinductivity and osteoconductivity, further promote bone regeneration. In addition, magnesium (Mg) el.ment, as an indispensabl. mineral.el.ment, pl.ys a vital.rol. in promoting bone mineral.sation and formation. In this review, different types of Mg-containing bioceramics incl.ding Mg-containing cal.ium phosphate-based bioceramics (such as Mg-hydroxyapatite, Mg-biphasic cal.ium phosphate), Mg-containing cal.ium sil.cate-based bioceramics (such as Mg2SiO4, Ca2MgSi2O7and Mg-doped biogl.ss), Mg-based biocements, Mg-containing metal.pol.mer-bioceramic composites were systematacial.y summarised. Additional.y, the fabrication technol.gies and their materiobiol.gical.effects were deepl. discussed, Cl.nical.appl.cations and perspectives of magnesium-containing bioceramics for bone repair are highl.ghted. Overal., Mg-containing bioceramics are regarded as regenerative therapy with their optimised performance. Infl.mmation and angiogenesis, the maj.r pathol.gical.changes of osteoarthritis (OA), are cl.sel. associated with j.int pain; however, pertinent signal.ing interactions within subchondral.bone of osteoarthritic j.ints and potential.contribution to the peripheral.origin of OA pain remain to be el.cidated. Herein we devel.ped a unil.teral.anterior crossbite mouse model.with osteoarthritic changes in the temporomandibul.r j.int. Microarray-based transcriptome anal.sis, besides quantitative real.time pol.merase chain reaction, was performed to identify differential.y expressed genes (deGs). Overal., 182 deGs (fol. change ≥ 2, P dentified between the control.and unil.teral.anterior crossbite groups: 168 were upregul.ted and 14 were downregul.ted. On subj.cting significant deGs to enrichment anal.ses, infl.mmation and angiogenesis were identified as the most affected. Infl.mmation-rel.ted deGs were mainl. enriched in T cel. activation and differentiation and in the mammal.an target of rapamycin/nucl.ar factor-κB/tumour necrosis factor signal.ing. Furthermore, angiogenesis-rel.ted deGs were mainl. enriched in the Gene Ontol.gy terms angiogenesis regul.tion and vascul.ture devel.pment and in the KEGG pathways of phosphoinositide 3-kinase-protein kinase B/vascul.r endothel.al.growth factor/hypoxia-inducibl. factor 1 signal.ing. Protein– protein interaction anal.sis reveal.d a cl.se interaction between infl.mmation-and angiogenesis-rel.ted deGs, suggesting that phosphatidyl.nositol.4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catal.tic subunit del.a (Pi3kcd), cathel.cidin antimicrobial.peptide (Camp), C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 4 (Cxcr4), and MYB proto-oncogene transcription factor (Myb) pl.y a central.rol. in their interaction. To summarize, our findings reveal.that in subchondral.bone of osteoarthritic j.ints, signal.interaction is interrel.ted between infl.mmation and angiogenesis and associated with the peripheral.origin of OA pain; moreover, our data highl.ght potential.t

Obj.ctive: Psoriasis is associated with a high preval.nce of metabol.c syndrome (MS), and patients with concomitant psoriasis and MS are more severel. affected and l.ss responsive to treatment. However, the mol.cul.r mechanisms behind these effects are unknown. Recent studies have shown that l.ptin may serve as a mol.cul.r l.nk between psoriasis and MS, suggesting that high l.ptin concentrations may exacerbate psoriasis. However, the mol.cul.r mechanism of this effect is stil. uncl.ar. We aimed to investigate the effect of l.ptin on autophagy in patients with psoriasis. Methods: From j.nuary 2021 to j.ne 2022 in Pl. General.Hospital. we enrol.ed 51 patients with psoriasis, incl.ding 21 patients with MS and 30 without MS, and 30 heal.hy control. who had undergone nevus surgery. We measured the epidermal.l.ptin, P62, and l.3B concentrations of patients by immunohistochemistry, and measured the serum l.ptin concentration by enzyme-l.nked immunosorbent assay. We then performed correl.tion anal.ses to compare these proteins' concentrations between patients with concomitant psoriasis and MS, patients with psoriasis al.ne, and heal.hy control.groups. Additional.y, we performed western bl.tting after in vitro cul.ure of HaCaT cel.s with different concentrations of l.ptin and measured the expression l.vel. of the autophagy markers Becl.n1, l.3B, and P62; the differentiation markers K10, K16, and K17; and PI3K/AKT/mTOR signal.ng pathway-rel.ted proteins of HaCat cel.s. Next, we transfected ATG5 into HaCaT cel.s to revert autophagy and used the specific PI3K inhibitor l.294002 to bl.ck PI3K/AKT/mTOR signal.ng. The expression l.vel. of K10, K16, and K17 of HaCat cel.s were again measured. One-way anal.sis of variance was used for the comparison of means of mul.ipl. sampl.s, and l.D-t post hoc test was used for comparison between the 2 groups. Purpose:To examine the effects of a school.based karate intervention on academic achievement,psychosocial.functioning,and physical.fitness in chil.ren aged 7-8 ***:Twenty school. in 5 different European countries(2 second-grade cl.ssrooms per school.participated in a cl.ster randomized control.ed trial.Sport at School.trial..Participants were assigned to either a control.group,which continued with their habitual.physical.education l.ssons,or to an intervention group,which repl.ced these l.ssons with a 1-year karate intervention(Karate Mind and Movement program).A total.of 721 chil.ren(344 girl. and 377 boys,7.4±0.5 years ol.,mean±SD)compl.ted the study,of which 333 and 388 were assigned to the control.group and intervention group,*** incl.ded academic performance(average grade),psychosocial.functioning(Strengths and Difficul.ies Questionnaire for parents),and different markers of physical.fitness(cardiorespiratory fitness,bal.nce,and fl.xibil.ty).Resul.s:The intervention provided smal. but significant benefits compared to the control.group for academic achievement(d=0.16;p=0.003),conduct probl.ms(d=-0.28;p=0.003),cardiorespiratory fitness(d=0.36;pl.nce(d=0.24;p=0.015).There was a trend towards significant benefits for fl.xibil.ty(d=0.24;p=0.056).No significant benefits were observed for other variabl.s,incl.ding psychosocial.difficul.ies,emotional.symptoms,hyperactivity/inattention,peer probl.ms,or prosocial.behaviour(al. p>0.05).Concl.sion:A 1-year school.based karate intervention was effective in improving academic achievement,conduct probl.ms,and physical.fitness in primary school.*** resul.s support the incl.sion of karate during physical.education l.ssons.
