The fluorine doping along with heavy metal oxides was remarkably raised the lifetime and the quantum efficiency of 3H4 in silicate glasses. The fluorine doping changed the local structure around Tm3+ ions, then low energy vibrations related to fluorine are considered to largely reduce the multi-phonon relaxation rates in the oxyfluoride silicate glasses.

Early diagnosis of liver cirrhosis is important. Ultrasoundguided liver biopsy is the gold standard for diagnosis of liver cirrhosis. However, its invasiveness and sampling bias limit the applicability of the method. Basic imaging for the diagnosis of liver cirrhosis has developed over the last few decades, enabling early detection of morphological changes of the liver by ultrasonography(US), computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI). They are also accurate diagnostic methods for advanced liver cirrhosis, for which early diagnosis is difficult. There are a number of ways to compensate for this difficulty, including texture analysis to more closely identify the homogeneity of hepatic parenchyma, elastography to measure the stiffness and elasticity of the liver, and perfusion studies to determine the blood flow volume, transit time, and velocity. Amongst these methods, elastography using US and MRI was found to be slightly easier, faster, and able to provide an accurate diagnosis. Early diagnosis of liver cirrhosis using MRI or US elastography is therefore a realistic alternative, but further research is still needed.

BACKGROUND Post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder(PTLD) is a fatal complication of solid organ transplantation or allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation that is associated with immunosuppressive therapy. Potential manifestations are diverse, ranging from reactive lymphoid hyperplasia to high-grade *** is usually of B-cell origin and associated with Epstein-Barr virus(EBV)infection. Herein, we describe a case of PTLD involving the peritoneal *** has been only case of PTLD as a diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL) in the *** SUMMARY The patient was a 62-year-old man who had been receiving immunosuppressive therapy with tacrolimus since undergoing a liver transplant 15 years prior. He reported that he had experienced abdominal discomfort and anorexia 1 month prior to the current admission. Abdominal pelvic computed tomography(CT)revealed peritoneal and omental mass-like lesions without bowel ***-guided biopsy was performed, and he was histologically diagnosed with EBV-negative DLBCL. Positron emission tomography(PET)-CT depicted peritoneum and omentum involvement only, without any lymphadenopathy or organ masses, including in the gastrointestinal tract. Six cycles of chemotherapy with a "R-CHOP" regimen(rituximab-cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, prednisolone) were administered,and PET-CT performed thereafter indicated complete *** This is the first report of isolated peritoneal lymphomatosis defined as PTLD in a liver transplant recipient.

Background:Red cell distribution width(RDW)and serum albumin concentration are associated with postoperative ***,the usefulness of the RDW/albumin ratio in burn surgery remains ***,we evaluated the association between RDW/albumin ratio and 90-day mortality after burn ***:Between 2013 and 2020,a retrospective review of patients in a burn intensive care unit(ICU)was *** operating characteristic curve,multivariate Cox logistic regression,multivariate logistic regression and Kaplan-Meier analyses were conducted to evaluate the associ-ation between RDW/albumin ratio and 90-day mortality after burn ***,prolonged ICU stay rate(>60 days)and ICU stay were ***:Ninety-day mortality was 22.5%(210/934)in burn *** factors for 90-day mortality were RDW/albumin ratio at postoperative day 1,age,American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status,diabetes mellitus,inhalation injury,total body surface area burned,hypotensive event and red blood cell transfusion *** area under the curve of the RDW/albumin ratio at postoperative day 1 to predict 90-day mortality,after adjusting for age and total body surface area burned,was 0.875(cut-off value,6.8).The 90-day mortality was significantly higher in patients with RDW/albumin ratio>6.8 than in those with RDW/albumin ratio≤6.8(49.2%vs 12.3%,p6.8 than in those with RDW/albumin ratio≤6.8(34.5%vs 26.5%;21[11-38]vs 18[7-32]days).Conclusion:RDW/albumin ratio>6.8 on postoperative day 1 was associated with higher 90-day mortality,higher prolonged ICU stay rate and longer ICU stay after burn surgery.

Freezing and thawing during the winter season change soil properties such as density. The density change in the particulate media influences soil stiffness. In addition, freezing of partially or fully saturated soils changes the soil matrix from a particulate media to a continuum. The goal of this study is to investigate the cyclic freezing and thawing effects on elastic waves. Sand-silt mixtures with 10% silt fraction in weight and 40% saturation are prepared. The sand-silt mixtures are placed in a nylon cell, onto which a pair of bender elements and a pair of piezoelectric disk elements are installed for the measurement of shear and compressional waves, respectively. The temperature of the mixtures decreases from 20 ℃ to -10 ℃ to freezing. The frozen sample is gradually thawed at room temperature （20 ℃）, These freezing-thawing processes are repeated three times. The test result shows that the shear and compressional wave velocities significantly increase when the specimen is frozen. When the temperature is greater than 0 ℃, the elastic wave velocities are lower during thawing than during freezing due to soil structure change. This study demonstrates that soil strucre change during the winter season may be effectively estimated from elastic waves.

It was found that a pitch-catch signal was more sensitive than normal incidence backwall echo of longitudinal wave to subtle flaw conditions in the composites （damages, fiber orientation, low level porosity, ply waviness, and cracks）. Both the strength and stiffness depend on the fiber orientation and porosity volume in the composites. The porosity content of a composite structure is critical to the strength and performance of the structure in general. The depth of the sampling volume where the pitch-catch signal came from was relatively shallow with the head- to-head miniature Rayleigh probes, but the depth can be increased by increasing the separation distance of the transmitting and receiving probes. Also, a method was utilized to determine the porosity content of a composite lay-up by processing micrograph images of the laminate. A free software package was utilized to process micrograph images of the test sample. The results from the image processing method were compared with existing data. Beam profile was characterized in unidirectional CFRP（carbon fiber reinforced plastics） using pitch-catch Rayleigh probes and the one-sided pitch-catch technique was utilized to produce C-scan images with the aid of the automatic scanner.

To apply a new airway treatment to humans, preclinical studies in an appropriate animalmodel is needed. Canine, porcine and leporine tracheas have been employed as animal airwaystenosis models using various methods such as chemical caustic agents, laser, and ***, existing models take a long time to develop (3- 8 weeks) and the mechanism of stenosisis different from that in humans. The aim of the present study was to establish a new and fasttracheal stenosis model in pigs using a combination of cuff overpressure intubation (COI) andelectrocautery. Fourteen pigs were divided into three groups: tracheal cautery (TC) group (n=3),COI group (n=3), and COI-TC combination group (n=8). Cuff overpressure (200/400/500 mmHg)was applied using a 9-mm endotracheal tube. Tracheal cautery (40/60 watts) was performed usinga rigid bronchoscopic electrocoagulator. After intervention, the pigs were observed for 3 weeks andbronchoscopy was performed every 7 days. When the cross-sectional area decreased by > 50%, itwas confirmed that tracheal stenosis was established. The time for tracheal stenosis was 14 days inthe TC group and 7 days in the COI-TC combination group. In the COI group, no stenosis *** the COI-TC group, electrocautery (40 watts) immediately after intubation for>1 h with a cufpressure of 200 mmHg or more resulted in suficient tracheal stenosis within 7 days. Moreover, thedegree of tracheal stenosis increased in proportion to the cuff pressure and tracheal intubation *** combined use of cuf overpressure and electrocautery helped to establish tracheal stenosis inpigs rapidly.
