Identifying cryptic species poses a substantial challenge to both biologists and naturalists due to morphological *** tabaci is a cryptic species complex containing more than 44 putative species;several of which are currently among the world's most destructive crop *** and delimiting the evolution of this species complex has proved *** develop a comprehensive framework for species delimitation and identification,we evaluated the performance of distinct data sources both individually and in combination among numerous samples of the *** species complex acquired *** datasets include full mitogenomes,single-copy nuclear genes,restriction site-associated DNA sequencing,geographic range,host speciation,and reproductive compatibility ***,our well-supported topologies generated from three dense molecular markers highlighted the evolutionary divergence of species of the *** complex and suggested that the nuclear markers serve as a more accurate representation of *** species *** compatibility datasets facilitated the identification of at least 17 different cryptic species within our *** geographic range information provides a complementary assessment of species recognition,while the host range datasets provide low rate of delimiting *** further summarized different data performances in species classification when compared with reproductive compatibility,indicating that combination of mtCOI divergence,nuclear markers,geographic range provide a complementary assessment of species ***,we represent a model for understanding and untangling the cryptic species complexes based on the evidence from this study and previously published articles.

Uncontrolled dendrite growth,sluggish reaction kinetics,and drastic side reactions on the anodeelectrolyte interface are the main obstacles that restrict the application prospect of aqueous zinc-ion *** glass fiber（GF） separator with chemical inertness is almost ineffective in restricting these ***,inspired by the ionic enrichment behavior of seaweed plants,a facile biomass species,anionic sodium alginate（SA）,is purposely decorated on the commercial GF separator to tackle these issues towards Zn *** from the abundant zincophilic functional groups and superior mechanical strength properties,the as-obtained SA@GF separator could act as ion pump to boost the Zn2+transference number（0.68）,reduce the de-solvation energy barrier of hydrated Zn2+,and eliminate the undesired concentration polarization effect,which are verified by experimental tests,theoretical calculations,and finite element simulation,*** on these efficient modulation mechanisms,the SA@GF separator can synchronously achieve well-aligned Zn deposition and the suppression of parasitic ***,the Zn‖Zn coin cell integrated with SA@GF separator could yield a prolonged calendar lifespan over 1230 h(1 mA cm-2and 1 mAh cm-2),exhibiting favorable competitiveness with previously reported separator modification ***,the Zn-MnO2full and pouch cell assembled with the SA@GF separator also delivered superior cycling stability and rate performance,further verifying its practical application *** work provides a new design philosophy to stabilize the Zn anode from the aspect of separator.

Borehole and surface samples from the Archean Tanzania Craton were analysed for apatite fission track(AFT) and(U-Th)/he data with the aim of deciphering cooling histories of the basement rocks. Fission track dates from borehole and outcrop samples are Carboniferous-Permian(345± 33.3 Ma to271±31.7 Ma) whereas(U-Th)/he dates are Carboniferous-Triassic(336±45.8 Ma to 213±29 Ma) for outcrop grains and are consistently younger than corresponding AFT dates. Single grain(U-Th)/he dates from the borehole are likely to be flawed by excessive helium implantation due to their very low effective uranium contents, radiation damage and grain sizes. All AFT and(U-Th)/he dates are significantly younger than the stratigraphic ages of their host rocks, implying that the samples have experienced Phanerozoic elevated paleo-temperatures. Considerations of the data indicate removal of up to 9 km overburden since the *** modelling reveals a protracted rapid cooling event commencing during the early Carboniferous(ca. 350 Ma) at rates of 46 m/Ma ending in the Triassic(ca. 220 Ma). The model also suggests minor cooling during the Cretaceous of the samples to surface temperatures. The suggested later cooling event remains to be tested. The major cooling phase during the Carboniferous is interpreted to be associated with compressional tectonics during the Variscan Orogeny sensu far field induced stresses. Coeval sedimentation in the Karoo basins in the region suggests that most of the cooling of cratonic rocks during the Carboniferous was associated with denudation.

Reverse-Time Prestack Depth Migration of GPR Data from Topography for Amplitude Reconstruction in Complex Environments

With increased computational power, reverse-time prestack depth migration（RT-PSDM） has become a preferred imaging tool in seismic exploration, yet its use has remained relatively limited in ground-penetrating radar（GPR） applications. Complex topography alters the wavefield kinematics making for a challenging imaging problem. Model simulations show that topographic variation can substantially distort reflection amplitudes due to irregular wavefield spreading, attenuation anomalies due to irregular path lengths, and focusing and defocusing effects at the surface. The effects are magnified when the topographic variations are on the same order as the depth of investigation––a situation that is often encountered in GPR investigations. here, I use a full wave-equation RT-PSDM algorithm to image GPR data in the presence of large topographic variability relative to the depth of investigation. The source and receiver wavefields are propagated directly from the topographic surface and this approach inherently corrects for irregular kinematics, spreading and attenuation. The results show that when GPR data are acquired in areas of extreme topography, RT-PSDM can accurately reconstruct reflector geometry as well as reflection amplitude.

Undulations in weather patterns have caused climate shifts of increased frequency and duration around the world. The need for additional research and model data on this pressing problem has resulted in a plethora of research groups examining a particular tree species or biome for negative effects of climate change. This review aims to （1） collect and merge recent research data on regeneration within old- and new-growth forests, （2） highlight and expand upon selected topics for additional discussion, and （3） report how shade tolerance, drought toler- ance, and inherent plasticity affect tree growth and development. Al- though shade and drought tolerance have been well studied by a number of research groups, this review reveals that in-depth analysis of a single or a few species in a given area will not generate the data required to implement a successful regeneration plan. Studies using historical accounts of previous species composition, information regarding site sea- sonality, species competition, and individual responses to drought and shade are needed to （1） develop best management plans and （2） ensure future modeling experiments are focused on a greater variety of species using more innovative methods to evaluate climate change effects.
